Isn't being a great singer the same thing as being a great musician? I certainly think so. I never heard him play much on keyboard or guitar, I doubt even if he could play OK that he could play to pro standards. But yeah, he was a great singer, dancer, songwriter, producer. That is pretty impressive on its own in my opinion, plus, he brought in great players to make his musical vision come true rather than trying to do everything himself.

And I don't mean musician in the strict instrumentalist sense, I mean musician in the sense of musical genius. MJ made a lot of his own tunes, and great ones at that.
When she asks, “Earth Song?” It’s obvious she didn’t listen to HIStory all the way through… or at all. Earth Song is incredibly well done song. I love that song.
