Thank you very much for watching! In these videos I detail my transformation journey and hope to inspire you in this endeavor, so if you did enjoy this video, please consider LIKING, SHARING, and SUBSCRIBING - that will help me continue this community contribution.
Helpful advises nicely presented - and, of course, what a charming A1 ..you haven't replaced the foam rubber strip that dampens the mirror's recoil, btw. In my opinion, that's the worst thing, because after a few years it starts to disintegrate and literally smear everything (mirror and screen). I myself have an AE1 and a AV1 ...both have been unused for decades and are waiting for a general overhaul. The battery compartment on the AV1 has crumbled and nothing works anymore, and I don't know where I can get these replacement parts for fair prices. Whatever, I wish you lots of success and fun on your further expeditions into the realm of last century's camera technology.
Oh oh Thanks for the pointer on the damper I need to do that quickly. but was cautious I don't mess things up. As far as parts for any plastic part try 3D printing. I'll do a session on that and what can be replaced....etc. Appreciate the feedback.
