It literally takes 5 minutes to assemble this big EDF jet. The vertical stabiliser/rudder, wings and canards just bolt onto the fuselage. The secondary fuel tanks, missiles and nose cone just click into place underneath. Then all you need to do is drop in your receiver and connect up the small number of leads into your receiver. FMS have done a great job to ensure configuration of your radio/transmitter will take seconds. You will notice that the canards are already appropriately mixed into the pitch\elevator control and that when using flaps the aileron/flap control surfaces split to provide a crow braking effect. The canard also pitches up slightly with flaps to give an easier high alpha approach on landing.

Not many would have chosen that day for a maiden flight !!! Definitely a good demo for the gyro.
That's what I thought. Quite noticeable visually after I switched it into Optimised mode after the first circuit.
Cool video looks like a cool machine.. Scary wind though. Poor thing was getting tossed about a bit .. Didn't know the Rafal was a stovl lol.

Awesome flying skills!!! can you please do a video on how you set up the plane and radio? using tx16s because i want to get a Rafale and use tx16s but I am not sure if it will work with that stabilization and safe select
Went like stink downwind; harrier upwind. Nice. Do wish they would not put EC5 connectors on them. These modern ARFs are so easy to put together that I am picking a nit, but soldering a connector on in the foam fuselage is a pain. Suppose you could use an adapter but that's just another voltage drop.
With a bit of care soldering an XT90 plug was easy enough. Tin plug and the wires properly and easy if got a good hot iron

Get the rc geek thrust tubes. Massive improvement! Designed to land hi alpha, not like a normal jet. Practice with a umx ultrix, same exact flying style, & only $129 US. Batteries as far back as u can get towards the back of the battery compartment.
(I learned everything the hard way).

@@EssentialRC As you say, it's a subjective thing. Seems to be a case of people either love this scheme or absolutely hate it. I personally think it's the worst scheme of any plane I've ever seen
@@daniellyons6178 Oh...you really really don't like it then! Can only hope they bring out this Rafale in another scheme then. I wouldn't mind a grey scheme to be honest.
