- We are giving you the lowdown on Sailing as a Rockstar Vs standard on a Virgin Voyages cruise. We have been lucky enough to have sailed on 2 Virgin Voyages cruises so far, one as a Rockstar and the other in a standard XL Sea Terrace.
Did we think one was better than the other? We go over some of the differences between the two and let you know if we had just as much fun living the regular sailor life.

OMG, I have been waiting for a comparison video of the different sailing categories. Our first and only Virgin Voyage was a Rock Star Sweet Aft Suite. So, needless to say, we're spoiled. Thank you both for this feedback. We want to go on another Virgin sailing but was debating on booking a regular Sea Terrace or try to save for the Rock Star suite. Sounds like a regular terrace would be like a regular balcony sailing on Royal Caribbean, which we always do. Again, thank you, thank you for this video! 💖
We thought the exact same thing after our first cruise! We were so spoiled by our rock star agent, loved the cabin and everything about sailing Rock Star we were worried we wouldn't love it the second time around. Rock Star is SO expensive ( nice, but expensive) 😆 but we absolutely loved our XL sea terrace too. So glad this was helpful for you!
My wife and I has a Rockstar as well aft mid the room was extremely awesome you can switch out drinks for what you like as well
That’s awesome! yes we were able to swap out our drinks on our last cruise too, that was really nice! We loved that cabin 😀
It really does sound like there are tone of benefits to being a Rock Star.

Great videos and information. We were able to book Mega Rockstar next year for surprisingly less than we thought (than other vogage weeks we searched). We also figured it's our anniversary/never had a honeymoon trip so we wanted a bit of a splurge. We're so excited and feared the same that the experience may ruin any future sailings so i appreciate hearing your experiences. Keep up the great content!

Good video. We are doing a rockstar suite next month. I was doing some math, the ship is sold out, it holds 2,700 passengers, but, on average there are only about 130 rockstar sailors on sold out ships. We are looking forward to the experience.

Loved this. Such awesome information. Of course we would love to be rockstars but would probably start out as standard and then move up if we booked again or like you said if we sailed for a special occasion. I absolutely loved the cabin you had when you sailed as rockstars the first time but I also feel like I wouldn’t be in the room as often because I would want to be exploring.
We have loved both and both times we sailed it was such a different vibe. A tad bit hard to do Rockstar first though 🤣 definitely lots to explore on the ship! I do like that there are different experiences to choose from though! 💕
We did Rockstar on our first Voyage out of the U.K. my cruise 2 weeks ago was in the XL Sea Terrace. We loved the rockstar suite so was worried how the XL was going to compare. To be honest o really liked the XL and thought it was really comfortable. We’ve booked Rockstar for our Amsterdam trip next August. Wish you guys were doing that one instead of the other 😉 That would have been wild lol. Thanks for the great info x
Well we wish you had booked the other cruise haha! We thought the same, the XL sea terrace was really nice ! Bob originally wanted to do the 4 night Amsterdam cruise and I talked him into one more day 😉 💕

Great video with a lot of great info. For me, I think the standard setup is the better bang for the buck. I think the alcohol is a great perk in a Rockstar room, however I want to be out & about and at least remember everything I’m seeing/doing. 👍🏻👍🏻
Definitely a great bang for your buck, especially if you can get a great deal on your cruise. We liked having the ability to mix drinks in our cabin but like we said it did keep us from seeing a few things on our first cruise. I think you guys would love it 😊

We had to look at the costs on the Virgin Website and Mega Rockstar is about 4x as much as standard! I might have missed it but do you get priority disembarkation at the end of the cruise?
Right! Mega Rockstar is mega expensive! I don’t know about priority debarkation but it’s very different on a Virgin cruise. People aren’t in a huge hurry to get off, you can stay on and eat breakfast and book a time slot in the morning. Both times we got off the ship it was the quickest and easiest we’ve ever seen so I really don’t think priority debarkation is necessary to be honest 😊
hey there. i am on my app and see a new option to book Splash for Your Bash for $250. We are Rockstars for our Feb 2024 sailing so won't do this, but this looks similar to the Splash of Romance. My besties and I may be sailing in 2025 so may consider this. Do you happen to know if the Splash for your Bash gets you onboard sooner, before regular bookings and after the Rockstars like the Spash of Romance package does?
Hi! I just looked at the “what you get” on each package and it doesn’t say anything about priority boarding for the Splash for your Bash” package, so I would guess no. It specifically says priority boarding is included in the Splash of Romance package. That’s a bummer!
