I wasn’t quick enough when it was announced 😂. I definitely see the value after building a bunch of upgraded 1/24 rigs. Very well done Hard Park! Nice video Josh.
It's an awesome little truck! Thanks for taking the time to show it. A couple of small corrections: The DWS transmission has 9% more wheel speed than stock and 31% more than the DW1.5. The 3Flow9 servo horn is stainless steel rather than aluminum as stated in the video. I think you nailed all of the other details.
I personally enjoy building. That be said, the price you’re paying for that RTR is an immense value when you actually tally up the total retail price to build it yourself.
Meus already makes it. Theirs is plastic now, but there are aluminum ones out there still. We have one at our local comp. We wondered if they had to change to plastic for legal reasons?
I went both ways, kinda... My killer Deadbolt got Super8s and lots of other goodies. Powerwagon got a few HD upgrades, mostly leftovers, new aluminum links and a trailer. She is a capable Tow Rig now 👍🏼
Ya if I was competing in comps I’d have no issue getting one but I don’t so I doesn’t make much sense to pay that much for a mini comp rig I’m more then happy with my Hobby Plus Evo Pro.
I can see the positives with both. As I've built my own HP Dementor, I can certainly see the upside to having one set up for you Directly from Chris (the owner of Hard Park), as one of my major complaints about his Dementor kit was no instructions and only a single picture on his website to go off of. That said, he's also a fairly helpful. I did mine with four wheel steering, but I did short links on both ends as I wanted to hit a fairly short wheelbase to fit under a 1/25th scale model body, but still be able to wheel it pretty hard. There is definitely something to be said for using the plastic drivelines, because the short links, and solid drivelines I used on mine, combined with double-barrel shocks caused binding in the drivelines. When that happened, my Furitek Komodo motor basically just blew the bottom skid plate to pieces in about the first 10 minutes of use. Chris helped me diagnose the problems, and got me new parts sent out, so at least he doesn't leave you hanging. When these models are running right, they wheel better than any Axial I've owned, no matter how well modified they are. Probably like how a purpose built tube frame rock buggy will nearly always perform better than a street truck set up for off-road. But there are compromises. Like the battery velcro'd to the front deck on the Dementor, or no heat in the rock buggy... You get the idea.
Idk which way I would go. It’s always nice to build over time like a budget build but it’s nice to spend it and be out at comps quickly. I only have 2 micros, a LOSI Trail Trekker and the Proline Ambush (like NIB). Thanks for all the info. ✌🏼
Great review, if we install quality things to the Axial maybe we also enter the high hundreds. But isn't there a copy right issue with Corally regarding the name? Cheers
Ring my bell, giveaway! Good luck to everyone. I hope that I win. My crawler has been out of commission for a few months now. Love the show! Thank you, Josh.🟧
I like that little crawler but that's a bit too much money for me. If the price comes down a bit, I'd be all over one. I have an AX24 that needs some better servos and a few tweaks and it should perform fairly well. But two new servos are nowhere near $800.
The build is the most fun. Choosing parts and electronics and slowly watching it come together is very gratifying. That said I would buy this truck because the presentation and quality is there.
If you take those comp pins can you cut every row of two off like a staggered set you know back and forth they really really show out I think they're a little bit better like that than they are stopped they're still really damn good and they're getting ready to drop some 1.3 I should have them on the channel before long I appreciate you brother you do such a good job
I run a meus mb24 with furitek electronics, with stock axles and 4 wheel steer. I finished 4th overall this last series. I had a few dnfs(broken axle shafts). We had guys with $1000 rigs that finished last. The overall winner was a guy who 3d printed his entire rig, even wheels and links. So we have all asked this question already 😅. Brass and heavy work in some places, light and plastic in others? That's why I also have a mod class on stock chassis and portals.
I would pay the $800 for the truck and I don’t need another flysky GT5 remote. This truck is sick. I built one similar and spent at least $1,000 or better so I know this is a great deal. I like the rtr with everything in the box ready to comp. This is a nice set up and I want to get my hands on one.
I have a hard time rationalizing anything 1/24. Cool setup though. I'm sure it'll do great for those that want one. IF I was to get into 1/24, I'd have to build my own.
make sure you take them apart and grease them i got mine and there wsas very little grease inside but i instantly put overdrive and underdrive gears in mine and leaded them up with some white lithium grease, oh and fyi when you put the shafts in you can put some white lithium around the seal for the bearings and it will almost always keep all water outt of inside the axles.
I’d rather build because I’m never going to build the same thing twice. Also I don’t like those robot looking bodies. I need some scale. Just my opinion though.
Love watching your videos, very informative and easy to learn. I’ve been an automotive technician for 25 years, now I’m on disability with back issues, knee and shoulder issues, waiting for surgery. I’ve always enjoyed my Rc’s, but now a days weight is an issue for me so I now have a few scx24’s and fcx24’s. I enjoy a build from scratch, Meus axles and chassis powered by Furitek. Love these so much. Shitty part is I’m in Canada and shipping and duty and availability sucks. Being on a fixed income sucks as well. Love what you do on your videos, keep up the awesome work ❤
Almost enough to get me into micro crawlers. Almost.LOL I can easily see the value in such a nice rig and the extras, but that is just too small a rig for my tastes. I enjoyed tje look at it though.
Lmao mini guys make me laugh so hard at what you will pay for so little!! I hope that all the 1/10 manufacturer don't get more ideas and raise the prices on their 1/10 cause yall are paying so much for 1/24.
Thanks for the doing the unboxing. I heard about the drop, but as soon as I saw the price, I immediately looked away without really reading what comes inside. Granted at the time of the drop, I have only built a few SCX24 type builds and never really tallied up the cost I put into them. Well a week ago, I finally put a spreadsheet together and added how much I put into my builds and they go for about the same price as the Hardpark R/C, but I had to assemble, paint and I am not included my Spectrum radio. After watching your video, which I look forward to 2-3 times a week, this unboxing made me appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness that HP put into their product. There is definitely alot of value in their RTR, especially if you are a comp guy. I am not yet there, but if I was, then this RTR would be the best bang for the buck. That kit is all figured out and sorted. Just some personal adjustments and you're good to go. I think the hardest part of comping is the countless tuning, experiments and time that goes to build a comp rig, getting this kit just cuts alot of the time and goes ready to run. Love it! I plan on checking out Hardpark website after watching this! Thank you, keep doing what you are doing! Cheers, ~ Bernie @milktea.rc (IG)

If anyone did the math you can buy the parts and build for hundreds of dollars cheaper. I think I matched it out to $300 for just the case and extras. Rig itself was barely $500
You must be using different parts, I did only a quick addition of the parts and the truck alone is right at $800. Without the extra battery, tools, case, assembly, any needed hardware or accessories that are included.
I prefer to build it myself but that’s a awesome rig for those that don’t are can’t build and very capable rig for a nice experience and for the price u couldn’t build that rig that cheap yourself 24 scale slayer nation🤘Rtyf

$799 for a crawler isn't too far fetched, but it's a no for me for 1/24. I just couldn't get into it. I tried so many times. I absolutely hate working/building them and that's what I enjoy the most about the hobby. A lot of people love the 1/24 scale stuff so I'm sure it will sell quick! Does look nice though!! Now, is this the same hobbypark products you see all over Amazon thats sold under 100 different names like Injora?
I started a comp rig some time ago by using a Cayman RTR and then upgrading from there. I enjoy the build up method and like choosing all my own rig parts based on my wheeling needs. To do it again, I would start totally from scratch! That deluxe RTR is a nice rig however and well worth the cost.
I wasn’t quick enough when it was announced 😂. I definitely see the value after building a bunch of upgraded 1/24 rigs. Very well done Hard Park! Nice video Josh.
I like RCs...
But if I had 800.00 to throw down on one...
It wouldn't be that.

100% this. Picking parts, researching, trying different things etc

So you got a new Power Wagon, and still went with green? Is everything alright?
The build is 75% of the fun
I like scratch building but that little trucks would be a lot of fun
Me personally I'm always going to start from the bottom because I want to build it the way I want you know
Truck is cool, but I like the case the most.
Wow.... very clean...... Love the hard case setup and all the extras you get with it too....
Personally, I’m waiting for the release of the Vanquish Ripper24! 😮
But this is definitely a nice package…

@@Gairbear-buildsthey were just limited numbers. The metal ones were machined from a raw block of aluminum,

I like building and tinkering on them myself but would deff love owning the dementor if I found one at a yard sale for $50 or less
WOW initially I was shocked by the price. However, after looking at what you get (whilst it still seems expensive) you can see where the money goes!

Didn't the comp 1/24 you built cost well over $34799.00?

Nice rig. I'm prouder of the rigs I built than the ones I bought, personally.
Ill go the Way with Injora Parts and Build my own, but with the Injora IR40 Body;)
My first 1:1 actual car cost $800 !! 🤓

Since I have no 1/24 scale comps over here in Europe, a slightly upgraded scx24 will do the job just fine 👌

I've spent more then that building mine. Of course it was over time and I've gone through several set ups lol.
The sky is the limit 😄
I still think you'll end up upgrading or changing things to suit your terrain. Great show by the way 👍
At first I think 799 for a 1/24th scale that’s crazy then I think about the cost of the ones I’ve built and realize ok it’s not that bad
I saw a breakdown of the Hard Park build. Minus the custom case insert and the custom wheel in the TX the build was over $1100
Yup 😅
