Yes! Come to Chicago!!! If you have time in your schedule and the weather is cooperative, take an architectural boat tour, and The Green Mill Lounge would be a great place to get the speakeasy vibe.
Yeah, we saw! The mirror trick worked great. I LOVE this color story and I will be picking this one up-- my last Nomad purchase was the Provence palette. And I love and adore Chicago. You should go and check out the architecture tour , Grant Park, and the Museum of Natural History if you're a nerd like me.
@@rachelapalmieri You're welcome. I was actually so sad when my son finished college in Chicago bc I knew I wouldn't go back as often :) Thanks for your channel. I really enjoy your videos and your occasional cat content (I also have a cat named Ringo)!
I’ve been to Chicago several times, I’ve traveled a lot & it is one of my favorite cities to visit. The art deco architecture is fabulous, especially in the train station…don’t miss it! Also the Shedd Aquarium is the best aquarium I have ever been to, better than even the coastal ones! The food is fabulous! There are so many wonderful sights to see, I hope you have a great time when you visit!💗 I plan to pick this pallet up, the color story is so lovely!
Yes!! Getting it! Finally one neutral enough for me and not too warm. I love purple, green and brown and I love a thin multi chrome. They can look heavy and textured on my older eyelids. ☺️
As soon as I see a Nomad release, I always run to Rachel's channel to see the looks. I love how she in detail described the multichromes. They seem more like something I could handle wearing than the usual indie brand multichromes. Hope your stye heals up fast! I am getting married in a week and for some reason both my eyes are irritated and I'm not even sure I'll be able to wear eye makeup for the pictures 😭
OMG a bar, in music filled Chicago! Nomad is such a cool company. A bunch of us would climb into this old 1963 Chrysler Imperial and drive down to Chicago to go to a Blues Bar in Chicago. Jazz would be playing some nights. I think I need this palette, for the memories. Dam I want Nomad to do The Fillmore West, 1968-1971 in San Francsico. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Big brother and the Holding Company, Quicksilver Messenger, Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, .CCR, and more play there. Living on a farm as a teen in the late 60's I would dream of going to the Fillmore and she Janis and Hendrix. Think of all the colors and shadow names a palette like that could do. Jimi wore boas back in those days! I should write to Nomad and give them this suggestion, it is part of our history. What do you think? Rachel wishing you a quick healing from that sty. They are annoying.
I haven’t been to a Chicago speakeasy but almost ever bartender and patron I’ve met at a Chicago bar has been genuinely friendly, relative to every other bar I’ve visited in the US. Chicago bars are a great time, and they’re tucked everywhere into neighborhoods
Hope your eye is better soon xx and loved the looks you created. My daughter went to a Speak easy secret bar, where they drank alcohol from tea cups, she thought it was quite a novelty (were from Australia, so the holiday was all a good experience 😊)
I love Chicago ❤ Go to Kingston Mines. It’s a great Blues Bar. They run two stages all night long. The audience rotates. The bar is in the middle. Do a River Tour. Chicago Architecture is spectacular. Go to the Museums. Say hello to Lucy.
Seconding the River Architecture Tour. Not seconding how I did it originally, which was as a class mom chaperoning a bunch of 4th graders, though. And a big caveat that it totally depends on time of year- summer, spring, early fall. And walk the Riverwalk and lakefront afterwards. Stop at Buckingham Fountain. Any of the museums. Second City for an improv show or any of the small local theaters. I live in the northern suburbs now but years ago lived in the city. Lots to do.
Hey Rachel, I’m from Chicago and one of my favorite bars/ restaurants with a super cool secret speakeasy in the basement is Gilt Bar. Their vibe is very cool and the food and drinks are great! The speakeasy is called the library and you can ask if the library is open at the front and they will let you go down if is open and has seats open! You can also make reservations online to secure a seat before hand but they also take walk ins. Love your videos and eyeshadow looks!
While in Chicago stop by and grab a deep dish from the Original Uno's Pizzaria. Make sure to leave plenty of time as ther is always a wait. Or if in a rush get 1 to go i prefer the supreme. The museum of natural history is a must see, it will take a while, make sure you see the doll house and the russian sub. I grew up just north of Chicago, Zion, IL. My favorite memories are taking the train to go to either the opera or the ballet, depending on the time of year. Chicago has so many great places to see.
I’ve not bought a Nomad palette since the Ghost Town. They creased so badly on me. I am 47 and my hooded eyes are suffering from gravity. I’m glad you talked about the shifty shade formula. Thank you. Creasing is a deal breaker for me. Maybe this could work on me. 🌻💛
I'm still desperate over the Okavango palette. And died over your video like what a year or so ago for that palette. Want it sooo bad. This palette looks nice. Really like the cover.
Hey Rachel, I’m from Chicago and one of my favorite bars/ restaurants with a super cool secret speakeasy in the basement is Gilt Bar. Their vibe is very cool and the food and drinks are 4:00 great! You can also make reservations online to secure a seat before hand but they also take walk ins. Love your videos and eyeshadow looks!
Eye care is super important. Don't apologize for that. I loved both looks. This color-story really is calling to me. I only went to Chicago once, way back in 1990. I'm nerdy and spent hours in the Museum of Science and Industry. It was fantastic!
Rachel, excellent video! I've been seeing this palette all around RUclips! You really convinced me to buy it, I LOVED that you read the card insert, so I used your code! Your descriptions/looks sold me! I'm a native Chicagoland resident and there is a magic to Chicago, especially this time of year! I see many incredible speak easy locations suggested in the comments, but I'd also love to recommend a couple other sights if you have the time in-between your dance competition to explore. One being the Art Institute of Chicago. Incredible place to view art and explore literally any time of the year! Someone said the Shedd Aquarium and I completely agreed. I also LOVE Navy Pier! Lots to do, see, and eat there and it's free to get in. The original Marshall Fields department store building (now Macy's) is iconic, and so is the Walnut Room restaurant. I'm a big fan of Chinatown in Chicago and I've been going there since the 90s as a child! Incredible restaurants and shops! Those are just a few of my tops but there are so many more depending on your interests (concerts: Reggies on State St., Kuma's Corner a heavy metal themed burger joint on Belmont, the United Center for hockey and basketball games!) You literally can't go wrong, there is so much to see and do!
I’ve been fortunate to visit Chicago 3x and it’s lovely! Nice people, great food and scenery, the lake is beautiful, it’s easy to get around. I highly recommend a river tour. Next time I go I’ll have to find a speakeasy. I’m so excited for this palette! I hope your eye gets better soon
Okay this is beautiful! I am so excited for this one. I love when Indie brands give us neutrals. I love color but its nice to have netural options. Beautiful looks Rachel! Sorry about your eye! Hope its better now.
I’m really excited about this palette!😍 I didn’t know they are in San Antonio! I live in San Antonio! I just messaged them to see if they have a brick and mortar so that I can go and make purchases. OMG! I can’t believe I’m in the same city as them!😊❤️💄
Pretty palette. The cover is perfect. And the shadows are so nice! I'm sorry that you still have the stye. Both looks are incredible, as usual. I hope that your eye is feeling better soon. 💖❤😘
Not the color story I was expecting based on the packaging, but the color story i DESERVE 🤩 newer to your channel and fell in love with the Hudson Valley palette (Albany, NY'er here) and didn't realize how old it was. This might just end up being my first Nomad palette 🎉
I will be getting this, but I will wait until the next release. That way, I can hopefully not have to pay for shipping, lol. So glad to see it isn't a limited edition.
I had guessed what it was but had no idea how they were gonna go a color story... but biy did they ever!! I LOVE it and will be buying it the moment it releases. 😂
I'm on the fence about purchasing. I like an in your face shimmer. I'm also obsessed with fall burnt orange looks. Hope your eye has healed by now! Great video!!❤
Lethal Cosmetics also has a lot of more powdery multichromes. They might not look as impactful but they're nice to just put on and have that little something for an everyday look✨
😅 The Universe heard me complain and then shut me up with this palette! 😂😂😂 This is their best color story by far, to me. Would like to share that if anyone's in a Twenties mood that Boardwalk Empire is an amazing show and does feature Chicago in some episodes. I need to finish that series!
😊Fun!! Love the looks you did. When we have these gradients of colours I'm always curious how the shades really differ on the eyes. Love the purples they used. I really love their color stories. Even the darker ones tend to work on my fair skin which really there is a lot of color stories out there too dark or pigmented for me from other brands. But Nomad mattes are very easy to use 😊 even though it's not the theme this really will do a great Christmas look w the red and green.
Girl it's completely ok that is only on one eye. We come here because we love you, we can come here for a review we can trust and beautiful looks. I really hope your eye feels better. My mom gets those in her eyes alot and it drives her crazy.
I hope your eye feels better! 😢 I feel like your second look would have made a cool holloween look if you left the one side bare and added a few skeleton accents ❤
Ahh! I am so sorry you have a stye (spelling) in your eye!! Those are painful 😢 Thank you for still creating two beautiful looks!! I really liked both however, the first green one has my heart since it’s my favorite color! You looked so pretty! Feel better💚
Wow! That pallet is pretty, but almost $60. Pretty crazy how expensive makeup is becoming lately. Don't get me wrong, Nomad has a great formula, but $60 is a little steep. Better than Pat McGrath, though. I think her shadows are way overrated for the price. Very pretty looks as always.
I guess I'm a little confused on the colourstory. The browns, red and black seem "Chicago" but I don't quite get the purple and green. But I don't know the city very well or its history. The second look was very cool!
Your looks were stunning, but I'm pretty disappointed in the color scheme. The previews and packing made this seem like it was going to be so different. Some make sense, but I guess it's not for me after all. Thanks again for sharing!

This palette is Definitely mine. From the destination to the color story this is a winner! Especially with five multichromes!!!
I love the theme & color selection of this palette 🙂, looks fun and daytime friendly
Yes!! I agree!!
This is going to be my first Nomad palette! They CAN put out a palette without blue. 👏👏👏 I am so excited to try the brand!
Yayyy I hope you love it! 😊
I love the color story too I love purple and a little green
