These colors are beautiful! Finally a palette without blue eyeshadow! 👏👏👏 Love the purple, green and just esthetics of this palette. This will be my first Nomad palette. Thank you, Amanda
Agreed, I have been waiting for something without so many blues/teal greens since they all look the same on my olive undertone. Excited about this one!
Being from Chicago, the greens make perfect sense because St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated very hard here lol. The river is dyed green and the bars are packed. It’s intense lol.
I especially love prohibition era cocktails and the greens are conjuring the vibes of absinthe and chartreuse for me, often used in drinks. So while a hunter green is something i always want and can usually fit in well, it wouldn't evoke the same thing at all, thematically. I love eye looks so much, and really hoping for combined use with Fuji 0:02 🥰
Thanks for the review! I'd love to see some eye looks with both the Chicago Speakeasy and the Fuji Five Lakes palettes; I'm trying to see if I can justify getting both. 😁
It was definitely love at first sight for me and this palette. Yes to palette mashups and more looks. That green does stand out but im not mad at it. I can see myself laying this all over my lid and then topping it with some sheer shimmers. Or using it as an inner corner highlight. I love the looks. At first I was dismayed at how this palette had a couple of super light mattes (super light or my skin tone) but then I thought about how I struggle with the Royal Europe mattes because they are all sort of deep and saturated so I welcome a couple of lighter shades to use as blend out shades. I e also began wearing lots of mattes on my lid and topping the with shimmers to get different effects. This is how I found myself using a lot of these super light mattes.
The color story is a little strange for me with those warm browns and light pastel greens, so I will most certainly pass. But I did want to say that I love your side of the internet. I was listening to you talk about embellishments and your love for a good sequin dress and you just seem like such a cool person to hang around. It's crazy to think I've been watching since I was a teen and now I'm feeling the weight of adulthood. But something about your aura seems eternally joyful and positive and I'm grateful to be on this side of the youtube world. Thanks for putting together these videos for us! Wishing you so much joy and peace ❤❤❤
Thanks for your review. As a Chicagoan, love the palette names. I agree, the green pop is njce. As a person that has gone to the Green Mill to hear jazz, it definitely deserves a rich forest green.
This color story was honestly not what I was expecting, but I do like it. I think I’ll pass on picking it up just because I have so many palettes lol, but it is very unique.
Thank you for mentioning the velvet outside. As a person with sensory issues i cant handle velvet it makes my skin crawl. I do own the ireland pallete but touching it is a chore even though the shades inside are beautiful
Could you put clear packing tape or something over the outside to cover the velvet? 🤔 (sorry if you’ve done/tried something like that and it didn’t work, it was just an idea 😅)
I love the green shades there, it’s the warm browns that are off in this for me , I think the undertones are clashing too much and would love to see more neutral or cooler brown and maybe lemon yellow that would work well with the lavenders and green , the shimmers looks nice though , a good variety of depth
This comment is very late but I think the green is referencing the color of oxidized metal! Chicago is famous for its architecture and a lot of buildings and statues from this era have turned that minty green. For example, the famous lion statues outside the Art Institute of Chicago or more recognizably the Statue of Liberty. Could be totally off but that’s what I thought of right away.
I love it! 🥰 I love nomad but I skip many of their palettes due to them being too bright, too colorful or too warm. I like neutrals, jewel tones, muted color and I like lighter looks and it looks like this will give me plenty of options, many light lid shades and even blending shades.
I loooove those muted purples 😍 it would be cool if Nomad released some more six or nine pan palettes. All I really want from any brand is smaller palettes. I just don't want or need to buy any more brown shadows😣😓
Super pretty. These are my colors. Purples/lavenders, greens, & warm browns. Love the theme as well. Might be my first purchase from Nomad but will have to wait til after I move.
I only very recently heard of Nomad (I'm not much of a makeup user, more of a "collector" which can be problematic) but the more I learn about them and their products, the more impressed I am. From a painting/color theory standpoint I've noticed that Nomad's eye color palletes are very well thought out. Someone put a LOT of thought and effort into getting a combination of colors and finishes that will work together while creating some wildly different looks. But I agree that the matte lime green color is a little odd when looking at the colors all together. Possibly, when looking at them in person, the really light multichrome (Gin Rickey) has a color shift that pairs it with the lime green and the other green color. Based on the picture of the swatches from Nomad's website, I think it might depend on skin tone of the person wearing it but can't say for sure. I'm still on the fence about getting this palette, I have a pale, very cool skin tone with medium intensity chroma at best. I suppose even if I can only use the purples and two or three of the other colors, it might still be worth buying... assuming I'd actually get around to using makeup instead of just pulling it out and looking at it in its packaging. Lol!
I got it and I don't know if I just got a palette where the colors are a little off in it, but the matte purples don't particularly look purple. And they look somewhat brown on my skin.
I noticed that I’ve only kept the box cover for Okavango and Ireland palettes 😅😅 both of the velvety cover palettes I have I always keep these in the boxes after each use. Cause I just can’t deal with the. Getting messy. I sort of wish I had kept the box for the Royal Europe palettes be pause I e had a couple of those layering pieces get into accidents (all by themselves and without my help 😅)
Hi Amanda, will you be doing comparisons in another video? I’m drawn to this one (it doesn’t hurt that it’s named for my adoptive city of Chicago either) but I’ve so much eyeshadow in my collection I’m trying to figure out what I have that may be similar before I commit to spending $59. Thank you
How similar do you think this palette is to the Cosmic Brushes Nudetrals palette? I think this palette looks awesome and I have the Nudetrals so I’m trying to decide if it’s something I’m missing in my collection
I lile the palette overall but with so many things i want specifically for spooky season I have to pass..it's beautiful but not necessarily a unique color story.
Combine this with the Fuji palette. I actually like the first look for everyday and the second look for a date night. I will be skipping this. On a no buy.

Agree, I am thankful for zero blue, never in a million years will I personally wear blue so I won't buy a palette with 4 blues in it
This palette has such an interesting color story

That’s what I was planning on doing too is buying both of those palettes, the Chicago looks real nice 😊
Definitely need more looks! I am loving the purples in this palette, but I do agree, the green seems random.

I wasn't interested until I saw your eyelooks and close ups of the palette! ❤ Another hit for Nomad!
This color story was honestly not what I was expecting, but I do like it. I think I’ll pass on picking it up just because I have so many palettes lol, but it is very unique.
Love the review! Thank you, Amanda! Yes, please use both of the Nomad palettes together because I plan on getting this one. I love Nomad palettes. ♥️
Yay! Thank you!

@cvgsunset5844 omg I never thought of this! This is a great idea I think I will try it
I was a little underwhelmed when I first saw the reveal, but I’m really liking how they look and performer in this video!
I’m on the same page!
I love the brown and red look! So pretty with your eyes. Purple is always a favorite, so of course that look is pretty too. 💜
I really like this palette, would love to see a combo with the Fuji five lakes 🤩

I’d prefer one more green and swap out one brown. I’d love another red too
@@hollythornell5262yes, some burgundy red tone would fit well here
I enjoy your outtakes so much! ☺️

The art deco cover is stunning and historically accurate ❤
I’m very drawn to this palette. I love the brown look on you. It’s different and sultry looking. Please more looks with this palette!
This one is right up my alley ! I hope the Halloween duo is still available when it releases, and if it is, I’ll probably splurge on all three.
I'd love to see how to incorporate that lime green into a brown and purple look! 💚🤎💜
This definitely looks like a palette I will be getting. Thank you for the review. ❤😊
I would love to see this palette combined with the Fugi five lakes palette. Maybe combining them would give you some inspo for the green?
I love that rich chocolatey eye look! It’s a bit different
Oh, my love. This one had me at first glance!! This may be my Christmas present to myself!
Yes to more looks. Thanks!
I love it! 🥰 I love nomad but I skip many of their palettes due to them being too bright, too colorful or too warm. I like neutrals, jewel tones, muted color and I like lighter looks and it looks like this will give me plenty of options, many light lid shades and even blending shades.
I love this palette and the looks you created. It’s one of those slightly twisted neutral palettes I love. Thank you ❤
I loooove those muted purples 😍 it would be cool if Nomad released some more six or nine pan palettes. All I really want from any brand is smaller palettes. I just don't want or need to buy any more brown shadows😣😓
Love this palette for autumn amd winter. Love it
I was about to pick up Ghost Town USA, but now I'm torn. Which would you recommend?
Super pretty. These are my colors. Purples/lavenders, greens, & warm browns. Love the theme as well. Might be my first purchase from Nomad but will have to wait til after I move.
I love both of your eye looks but I think I also prefer the neutral eye with that duochrome 😍 lmao I also wanna go to a speakeasy, they’re so fun!

I think i need to break no buy for this one 😂😂😂

I have to do it, haha. First!
🤣🤣 🏆🥇
Purple for sure 🎉😢
Very nice palette ❗.love your two eye looks. I love your aura too. Your a cool chick.🦹👻🍂🍁🏵️🎃👍✔️❗
Yet another palette that I love half of, but I can’t justify buying half a palette 😢 I LOVE the purples but the browns and greens are too warm for me
Omg i must have this 😅
Has a very holiday-ish
No Halloween releases?
I believe that re-releasing the previously discontinued Hauted Europe was their Halloween celebration!
@@MakeupJustForFun Ok thank you 🙏🏻
I lile the palette overall but with so many things i want specifically for spooky season I have to pass..it's beautiful but not necessarily a unique color story.
This will be Nomad #18 for me. After three meh releases, they just caught my attention
❤
💜💜💜

It's pretty, but I wouldn't call most of those multichromes. They seem duochrome at best. I think I'm spoiled by Danessa Myricks. 😅
I’m just going with the finish the brand listed in their info but I agree duochrome is more accurate for the most part!
The two green shades make ZERO sense… the rest is gorgeous!
Don't like the color story so much....easy pass for me 😢
