Wow, this is awesome! I think I'll have to give this a go. I've always assumed it would be possible to make a simply DIY canister filter but never attempted it. I've wanted a "Mobile Polishing Filter" for a long time that I would just pack full of purigen carbon filter floss etc to cycle around my different tanks to clear up cloudiness on an as needed basis, and something like this seems like it would be perfect for that.
