Orbital sanders are amazing. I used an old vibrating Craftsman sander for years. I just got my orbital sander about 2 months ago. WOW ! The old Craftsman is junk compared to the orbital sanders of today. Good job on the video. Very informative. Barry
Hi, I watched this video a few days ago to get a review on this dewalt battery operated sander. I was also looking at the milwaukee m18 palm sander just because i carry both line. I decided to pick dewalt because it was brushless and milwaukee was not. Lowe's has a great deal. Buy a bare tool (certain ones) and you get a FREE new style 3ah battery with a charger. I couldn't go wrong. The new 3ah battery works awsome with this sander. It's very comfortable on the grip and hand. Plus it still feels light when sanding. I had to sand down (12) 4x4x8 cedar post and (3) 2x10x12 cedar boards before staining it. When i checking the battery it was still full. I was totally surprised. This palm sander and battery was well worth it. Milwaukee just has to make a brushless one. Plus with their new 3ah battery it's going to be a great sander. Just wanted to give some input
dewalt is the best, awesome video, rule of thumb, dont use it on your neighbors BMW....but you can you this bad boy for lots of different job from flooring, to cars to fencing.... dewalt has the best track record, great power and durability
The wife may have put the foot down on my tool buying after last Saturday, my New Dewalt Brushless Jigsaw and the Cutout tool may have been my last for a little while. Lol But if I do get it I will let you know.
Hello, I am working on a sailboat restoration and wanted to hear your thoughts on sanding fiberglass with the Dewalt using 60 grit paper. I have about 4 hours run time with my batteries based on the specs. Thank you for your thoughts on this matter.
Hmmm, great question. As webot knows, fiberglass is a tough material to sand. Tat said, if you are heavy is spots, you could grind it down a bit then use this on it. I think it would be ok for light fiberglass use
Nice vid!!! I’m really on the fence between Milwaukee bs Dewalt... I want a cordless orbital sander & cordless jigsaw but there isn’t anything definitive between dewalt & Milwaukee that makes it easy are that front!? For impact drills no question Milwaukee for 12” sliding miter or Nailers no question Dewalt and that what I did. But atm all my batteries are dedicated to a device for dewalt (flexvolts for saw, 1.5 & 2 ahs for nailers & multitool) + all my Milwaukee batteries are the big boys ie: 5,6,12 that’s to much for a sander or jigsaw!? If YT has any advice that’s unbiased let me know! I’ll prob scoop up a few 2-3ah generic batteries for each brand to have as backup I guess. I like smaller batteries with impact, Sanders, nAilers the 4-12 ah+ work great on the hack/sawzall, circular saw, mitersaw, table saw ect where the weight isn’t as noticeable. Hmmmm gotta make this decision soon coupons gunna expire 😆
Next time you should try it on a a car surface if you have something you can replicate it because I would be neat to see if it would be good for it . Or any other types of sheet metal
@@ToolReviewZone guys hope you don't mind if I jump in conversation. I'm looking for sander to sand some paint on my car probably some body filler as well. I don't have compressor so electric option is what I'm looking for. Will this Dewalt be good enough comparing to some corded DA electric sanders? Also RPM on this one is I think 8000-12000 comparing to electric DA sanders that are RPM 2500-6500. How much RPM matter and which one would be better. Advantage is I already have some Dewalt battery powered tools so can buy body only. Would this one be good enough for car as almost all reviews are on wood. Would really appreciate your help and advice.
awesome and trz I would love to see you do a review of the ridgid orbital sander and the new ridgid brushless 1/4inch sheet sander and trz I am going to post a pic of the New ryobi oscillating multi tool that is coming out next year that I saw a you tube video on and trz on the Brunnings website that is a Australia company they have ryobi air tools on there you should take a look at the website
Awesome brand I love it but the money is not there for me to buy DEWALD BRAND, I wish I could brother Very nice review and a great video to good job :)
So I'm seeing conflicting information as I'm researching reviews on this sander. Some say it is not a true random orbital but a rotary. Anybody that owns one care to weigh in?

You got to get those great deals when you can. Good luck...
What's the runtime on a 2.0Ah and 4.0Ah battery?
killing it with the black and yellow reviews.
Thanks bro. A lot more to come buddy!
Great video!
What is the runtime with a 3ah or 4ah battery?
Thank You👍🏻👍🏻
Zombie got you a LIKE within the first few seconds! I wonder how many people even know what I'm talking about... like if you do!
Yep, didn't take long to pick up on that. Geat tune...long live the Zombie!
YES...we’ve been waiting a loooong time for this bad boy! As always, reviews are top notch👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Ryan! Have a lot more Dewalt tools on the way buddy! And thanks so much for the feedback!
Dewalt day at the TRZ channel! Another great tool Clint, good review!
Thanks Brandon! Yeah we have a lot more to come too buddy!
Another one to go in the dewalt boxes! Thanks!
You got it David!
It looks like it’s likely to fall off hand on wall like surfaces . An uprade would be a handle just like the polishers
This sander will greatly benefit from Dewalts new compact batteries...the bigger batteries do make it a little heavy and unbalanced
how is the battery life?
There it is I found it.
Noice...im getting one in the UK
Which one is preferred by the general pop? The orbital or the square dewalt sander?
dewalt is the best, awesome video, rule of thumb, dont use it on your neighbors BMW....but you can you this bad boy for lots of different job from flooring, to cars to fencing.... dewalt has the best track record, great power and durability
Haha, thanks for the advice Rocco, and thanks for the comment
Just picked up one of these today. I got the Craftsman sticky paper. Does it not use that, or do I need to specifically look for velcro?
Duh 🙄
Those 48 people who didn't like it, I wanna know what you settled for ?
Not liking the video is different from not liking the product...
So what you don’t like dewalt ? What do you have buddy ? Harbor freight special ?
@@huitron23 Again, you're missing the point of the comment, so I won't waste my time.
Justin D your reply was a waste of time .. dumb ass
@@huitron23 Thumbs up
Great rob Zombie intro 🤟🏼
I bought one of these. Awesome piece of kit. Love mine
I think this is my next tool.
Have you ever done a video on the DCW 600, the Dewalt Router?
I can not find a video on it anywhere.
Hey Mark, I haven't done a review for that buddy. Maybe I'll try to get my hands on it
@@ToolReviewZone shit, hopefully I get my hands on one too. Lol
Haha, well if you do first, you have to le me know how you like it too😄

How long do the batteries last?
How much can got it all kit sender battery charger thank you video s much
nice video. thanks.
Does the sandpaper get spun around or just oscillate back and forth?
Itz spinning around
Now, that a nice sander!!!!
Yeah buddy!
Milwaukee should make a fuel random orbital sander in both M12 and M18 flavors to compete with dewalt.

sounds like you needed dewalt sander
Can I use it to sand cars?
Great video! 👍🙏♥️
Thanks Kim!
Great video nice sander
Thanks Yard Here!
What's the vibration like on it?
I am looking for the link for the vacuum attachment
Can this be used to sand drywall?
I did
When the battery is installed it should rest on the battery after putting it down. Should never rest it on the pad.
Can you polish your car with this?
I would not do that. Would take forever and not meant for that application. You van find a cheap Polisher on Amazon for the car
Next time you should try it on a a car surface if you have something you can replicate it because I would be neat to see if it would be good for it . Or any other types of sheet metal
Yeah, I did body work for years. It will work good buddy. I'll wait until my neighbor gets a new BMW once the insurance check clears bro lol
I threw it on the BMW that's a good car to do it on or Ferrari don't do it on the demon
Did you really chuck it on a BMW
I take that a torquey dry sander is not as suitable as a low torque air wet sander
Haha no but would have been funny. This would be ok to dand bondo and stuff with for sure

What song do you use in you vids
The song is called more human than human from Rob Zombi
So all Dewalt battery’s will be interchangeable with this ? For example the impact 20v drill i got ?
Yep
guys can i use it with 18v xr battery from uk i RECKIN YES AS THIS 20v IS IN reality is 18v
If its the newer slide on battery style yes, 20v is the peak voltage but during use it drops down closer to 18v.
Looks like a carbon copy of the one Makita has had for years. It's about time dewalt...
Nice crib
The cordless skill saw sucks it’s too weak.
