This has happened to the best and worst of us. Over the years what I’ve discovered is to have the bass knob turned down all the way when hooking up subs and just lightly “burp” the bass knob. And if nothing happens I start checking my system. But a short burp shouldn’t blow subs right out of the gate if they are wired wrong! (Unless you are overpowering them of course) Ever since I have started doing this I haven’t had any issues with my equipment!
Man I respect showing the bad and ugly because the reality is it happens to us all at some point love the vids man and I hope things smooth out for you brother! Remember you all keep bassN on!!
Dude! I fried a Skar amp once not paying attention. Unhooked a live power wire and accidentally let it touch the ground terminal while still grounded. Great puff of smoke, goodbye amp! Crap happens! Loving the build series Parker!
@jalensturkie2870 Dude! That's amazing! I hope you left whoever you bought it from a good review! I'm using CT Sounds in my latest build. 4 channel amp went out but it was out of warranty so the company gave me 20 percent off a new one. Good companies deserve recognition! Glad you got a new one for sure!
@@jalensturkie2870i did that too but wasn't connected at battery so when I connected it at battery my fuse save my amp thank goodness I did it that way and got lucky
Parker, appreciate you showing the mess ups. Your not the only one, we have all done dumb crap. Just appreciate you showing the real the stuff that happens and owning what had happened to you. Big respect bro!
First of all, I'd like to say you're doing great cleaning up the Tahoe. So, I'm glad to see the cluster working again. It's a pretty cool truck. As for the polarity issue ,iv said this to many friends before that the polarity is very important initially and should be double-checked . I alway like to check the ohms reading after wiring subs togather before connecting to the amp. Thanks for update parker
Carefully hit that seat with some steam and it will help the leather fit the foam a lot better. Also if you clean up the passenger seat with a leather cleaner then conditioner them both i bet the color would match a lot better.
Hey bass brother ✌️ It is what it is and you live you learn. Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone learns from them. Can't wait for the Orion review, always been a dream subwoofer for me. Good luck with the rest of the Tahoe build and keep bassin on👍🔊🔊
You're welcome Parker , always good to see you experience things that we all have done or could do and you don't try to hide when you ooopppsss .. if you know where I can get some stupid cheap 1/0 gauge please lmk , I need about 30' but I'm struggling to make ends meet !

This is from the fights and wars of life, proof they made it through the toughest times and still prevailed. It can hurt, we may suffer, but when we make it through, we have more to show. Stay positive (+ to +😅) and thank you for what you do!
Even though it isn't your usual content. I really appreciate it tremendously, because I never knew that you can purchase car seat foam, although I knew about the covers. now I know exactly what I need to do to fix my car seats myself instead of paying someone to upholster them for more money. Thanks a million man. Great video.
@ParkerTheBasshead 💯 don't quit. You are a legend in the bass world. You are amongst some hall of famers in this game, Wilston old skool, exo. Having one of those weeks right now. I used a chrome wrench to tighten up some bolts on my lithium bank and let’s just say my trunk was looking like the 4th of July
Hey man, couple of things. First that stuff happens don’t sweat it. Your viewers understand. There will be a couple of people without nothing to do that might try to be silly about it but when you mess with this stuff all the time stuff happens to everyone. When folks act like they have never messed anything up they are just telling me they don’t really do much with this stuff. The other thing is I ended up with an extra cluster too a while back and I took and got some led lights from Amazon and replaced all the ones in the cluster with those LED’s and it was really cool when I got it done. Really cool super cheap upgrade. :) keep on bassing brother! 🤘🏽
always color match my jumper wires to avoid this kind of issue. Can't wait to see the HCCA video, I've got an HCCA 12.2 that ive been running in my daily driver for over 10yrs. Love that sub.
Well I have hooked power wires backwards on a MTX 75.4. Good thing it has great protection circuits. It didn’t even blow a fuse, it just went into protect.
I did that once to a Memphis 1,000 watt monoblock amp. It was my fault. I was using grey and dark blue wires for power and ground. In the dark I couldn’t tell which one was which. The amp blew in spectacular fashion.
Someone I know had the coils hooked up wrong like that, suprisingly the sub still slightly moved, but the amp just went into protect Hooking up the coils correctly and it worked perfectly.
You just humbled yourself in front of everyone, some of them probably do not work half as hard as you and I am sure a huge blessing will come from this one video alone. By the way, your self accountability should be acknowledged. At least you didn’t try to blame the budget subwoofer for what happened or just not tell anyone at all about it.
I would keep the cluster. The stpper motors are PRONE to fail. And you would have backups if u kept it. Keep in mind the cluster holds the milage meaning, If you change the entire cluster the milage wont be accurate. It will display the milage lastr on olde vehicle. NOT what your vehicle has.
Get some rest brother. There will be more of those subs again. Holla anytime you wanna talk man. Your health is much more important than any videos. Take a break! We'll still be here when you come back. Gotta have parker to have parker the bassheads channel! 👌🧡
