I live up in NY and the water is still way too cold...been below freezing at night and 34 to 43 during the day. Figure the next 2 weeks depending on the day and night temps
Thanks for this video. Couldn’t have come at a better time, considering I’m new to all the different lures and techniques. This helps me not have to bring EVERYTHING with me when I go out in a couple weeks! Like others have said, it would be great if I could see a diagram and maybe take a screenshot of it, lol. Thanks for all you do and share. It has really helped. Loving the backpack tackle box that you have for this years pond series. I have it too, and definitely recommend it!
While Guntersville Lake may be different, the neighborhood pond is partial to finesse fishing. Ned rig, drop shot, wacky worm and a single weightless fluke. Even post spawn, they seem to go for weightless Texas rigs. Then again, it could be me and my confidence in square bills, jerks and spinners. A lot to learn ahead.

Hi Tyler, you've helped me a few times with some questions. I have another that i hope you have time for. As a woman, i love the girly colored poles & reels. I have a pink zebco roam spinning combo. I also have a teal colored spinning combo. Im looking for a good combo or good rod & reel but in girly colors. Ive always had cheap gear. I want a decent one but pretty... can ya help me out? 🥰
Love your videos I’m wondering if you have any experience enough to talk in a video about the spawning seasons for bass in more northern states where it’s a bit colder. I’ve always been curious because most largemouth bass fishing information is directed towards the southern states.
@@TylersReelFishing thanks for the reply. So I guess they just hangout really shallow the rest of the summer because I catch most of my fish 6” off the shore casting from a kayak 🤷♂️
Can you PLEASE do a video going over weighted bladed hooks with swimbits and different good swimbaits you like to use on that setup??? I caught my pb largemouth last spring here in new york on that setup but wanna find better baits to run (pb was 6.54lbs)
@TylersReelFishing I can't wait man your super informative I've asked so many youtubers without luck I knew you'd come through 💪🏼🎣💯 thanks a ton I'll keep a eye out and love your content
The hybrid hunter has won me fantastic results but you also recommended the vibrating jig and for some reason I just can't get bit on it and I've given it a fair shake...idk
Hey great video, thanks! I have a question about the spinnerbait you’re using. You said Tour Grade 1/2oz but the one you linked to is a lighter weight 5/16 Colo Turtleback. It seems like that would be harder to keep low down?
im new to bass fishing, i have such a hard time knowing when is pre spawn post spawn etc in my area. when do you think pre spawn season start and ends in northern Colorado?
I have no luck at all with the hunter at all and I have a few of them yet not one bass has yet to bite any of them even the one you are showing but I put on a Rapala and the bass go crazy like I put a candy bar in the water lol 😅
Spring fishing is amazing and so is this video! You have basically taught me how to fish. Love these lures! Really enjoying the new studio!
Great to hear!
I think I need a chart of those seasons. LOL Visual, please!
Ur how To Rig every Soft Plastic Lure video really helped me .
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for introducing me to the hybrid hunter man! I ordered me a couple after watching one of your videos and it really is a killer bait
Definitely have to try these lures for pre-spawn you made me a better fisherman with all your tips and videos
Glad you like them!

Part of your state had some great fishing for the last week or so! I know you had a big snow front blow through though
Your passion for fishing shines through in every video!
I try! Haha

I definitely will start making more charts with some of these longer videos. Which exact ones would you like to see?

Luv ur vids. God bless U
Totally awesome thanks
You bet!
You nailed it about the vibrating jig, I barely clipped a log and lost my EVO, that thing did not want to let go and would never bend out ha ha
Them suckers don’t let go lol
Swim jig has been my go to this spring and its going to be good.
I really think this spring and summer is going to be amazing across the country
Bloopers at the end were funny!! Can’t wait for ice out in MN to go throw some of those 🔥
Hopefully they get rid of that dang opener, so y’all can fish earlier!
Ready to catch my PB this spring 💪🏿 Thanks for the tips.
And I have a feeling that you will!
Hi TRF have you made a video for bank fisherman? like where to cast and how?

Another great video!
What about the old school wiggle warts in water melon pattern or the original water melon hula grub that works for me on all of the Missouri lakes?
I forgot about the old school Gitit in shad color or something call Dad pattern?
That crankbait can be fantastic, especially in the Ozarks!

Awesome!! Which one?
Great information thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for more tips Tyler!

Your bass spawn much faster. Like 1 quick wave, and females don’t hardly stay on the bed for very long
@@TylersReelFishing thanks for the reply. So I guess they just hangout really shallow the rest of the summer because I catch most of my fish 6” off the shore casting from a kayak 🤷♂️
Loved the video. I've been using the HH on ponds in Texas for a year and still yet to get one on it. Any suggestions are appreciated.
It could be color, cadence, or just a lack of fish that desire to eat that
Can you PLEASE do a video going over weighted bladed hooks with swimbits and different good swimbaits you like to use on that setup??? I caught my pb largemouth last spring here in new york on that setup but wanna find better baits to run (pb was 6.54lbs)
I’ve got a HUGE swimbait video coming out soon!

Definitely don’t give it up! But if you have found what works best on your body of water right now, then stick with that
Do you think largemouth are out during April, before the fishing opener?
Absolutely
100% agree with you!! I'm ready to catch some more hogs!! 💪🏼😎
You and me both!
Just the video I have been looking for! lol im on a year long scunk
Now that’s not acceptable! Implement everything I teach, and I guarantee that will go away

Tyler great vid as always! Btw do you ever change out the standard treble hooks for red EWG style for the spring?
Nah, don’t think red hooks really gets you more bites
@@TylersReelFishing really? I thought that was a popular practice over in Japan? Something to do with the bass seeing the color red as a 🎯?
im new to bass fishing, i have such a hard time knowing when is pre spawn post spawn etc in my area. when do you think pre spawn season start and ends in northern Colorado?
I’m guessing it is April
Would the hybrid hunter be good for bank fishing in pre spawn wich is my only option
Yes it would! Of course, like any crankbait from the bank if you get snagged, you are probably losing it. But I’d say the risk is worth the reward.
Where’d you get those bass on the wall
Search “TylersReelFishing Sharelunker”
I have no luck at all with the hunter at all and I have a few of them yet not one bass has yet to bite any of them even the one you are showing but I put on a Rapala and the bass go crazy like I put a candy bar in the water lol 😅
Definitely keep trying, but the fish on your body of water just might not like it
@@TylersReelFishing Thanks for the feedback most likely most don't but maybe in April one of them crazy younger bass will grab the bait 🎣
should i buy a fat baby finnese worm to add to my baits or dont buy it
Yes!
I have only one bass on the chatterbait and have yet for a bass to bite it again but spinnerbait gets more bites for me
And on certain bodies of water, it can be like that!
@@TylersReelFishing they probably saw a lot of them and jigs most likely thanks again
Ok so I caught a 6.36 lber on the neko today, also had a very successful day on wacky, so now I ask. Tyler! Wacky vs. neko…. And .. go ?? 🤔🤔🤔
Wacky every day of the week
I don't know why the hybrid hunter is not working for me.
Man, sometimes it be like that! It could be the color, cadence, or just a lack of fish wanting to eat that thing
Are you still sponsored by strike king?
Yep! Mach is a subsidiary of SK/Lews
@@TylersReelFishing I thought so I was just curious! Because I knew Mach had a bunch of poles through lews I was just curious if they were with sk too
