I live there and I took the plane hundred of times for my job, but it is the first time I see the approach from the cockpit. Thanks. Approach from opposite side is nice also, above a great lake.

Many thanks, it looks like a great city, at least from above, The approach has an interesting offset intercept of about 2.3nm off the runway in order to avoid flying over the city centre

Apparently you don't live under the landing path? There are >200 movements per day at this airport, resulting in approx. 100 landings or takeoffs for each impacted suburb. This means 100x aircraft noise of 70-85dB above your house, Saturday, Sunday and every holiday of the year included. It starts from 6am and ends at midnight, leaving you 6h of calm sleep per night. You know what such repeated noise does to your health over the years? All science shows the development of cardio-vascular diseases and reduced cognitive performance in children, meaning people get dumber and sicker. DGAC estimates that there are 80000 people impacted in Nantes by aircraft noise. Something to think about next time you see an airplane above Nantes city center.

Hello Joseph, rest assure that this was not a "low level" approach, it was completely standard following guidelines for this airport stipulated approach. In this type of approach there are several factors that we take into consideration, we follow strict regulations and operational guidelines to ensure safe approaches and landings. This particular approaches poses challenges that we train and prepare for, we also discuss, and brief prior to what you see in this approach, we attain to local procedures and NOTAMs, attain to regulations and standard procedures, analize aircraft and airport performance, review geography and obstacle considerations. Moreover, the aircraft is equipped with safeguards like terrain awareness and go-around procedures, we are fully compliance with international aviation safety standards, and have a continues monitoring by air traffic control, ensuring safe traffic flow and approach guidance.

That's the only authorized approach for the 21.
You should see the VOR approach with low visibility, that's quite something (no ILS on the 21 because of the usual political bullshit)
