How much noise is there in the cabin with this R400? I'm torn between buying this or the Q300 for my 2020 STI. I've read that the R400 has a lot of cabin noise and is annoying. My Subie is not my everyday car and I will hardly use it for long trips, so... what do you recommend? I like the sound of both catbacks (Q300 and R400) but I don't know which one to choose. Sounds good. I have the exact same color STI. Got the titanium tips too. How are you liking the burnt tips with the red? I was afraid of it looking too ricey but then everyone I asked said get the burnt tips over the polished.

pol12htom there is some drone, but it’s not horrible. I’ve never been bothered by it or gotten a headache from it and have taken it on 7+ hour road trips. I’m even running a catless downpipe now and while it made the car a bit louder, it’s still not mind numbing
James Dean Cooper this is my first Subaru too so we’re in the same boat! Haha but I installed a larger rear sway bar and it was pretty much touching the exhaust so I wanted to drop the exhaust slightly to give more clearance
menswearhous I can’t speak to the SPT exhaust quality or tone but this exhaust is well worth the money. Install is super simple. Just have to get the rear of the car up and undo a few bolts

What mods are you running besides the R400 catback? I have a stock 2013 STi hatchback and I'm feeling out what a R400 would sound like for my subie

On a scale of 1-10 how bad is the drone? Such a beautiful sound but I don't want to go crazy cause of drone

Unfortunately this is the only exhaust I’ve experienced, so I can’t really put it on a scale of 1-10 versus other setups.
Drones after 3k rpm cruising at 80 mph on highway...like a 6 on scale of 1 to 10
JPSUPERSTAR to me the drone is actually worse from 2-3k rpm on the highway so I try to cruise at 80 or above to avoid the drone

this or the spt exhaust for a 2018 sti...ill be daily driving it and getting a good deal on the spt exhaust $700 dealer installed.
