I am a former SBC pastor. I left the church I was pastoring and the SBC in November of 2021. There are many godly pastors in the SBC who are not aware of the theological drift of convention leaders. This is sad. Thank you, Justin, for this and all of your work.
As a pastor, I am increasingly frustrated with fellow church leaders who take similar approaches with engaging this issue of sin. It’s interesting how we are treating this sexual sin differently than any other sexual sin. Why don’t we empathize with adulterers, porn addicts, and other sexual sins as we do with those who identify as LGBT?
It’s quite simple. We cannot and do not identify with sin. We don’t call ourselves lustful Christians or promiscuous Christians. Some of us were those things, but we have been washed, sanctified, and justified in the Lord Jesus Christ.

How many preachers and church goers out there have anger issues , greed, alcoholism, adulterous affairs, how many have a lustful thought seconds prior to entering the pulpit on a Sunday morning, yet they still preach. No one is Holy but Christ.

And are you accusing me of judging others as you judge me? Yes.

Satan is active! The Bible and it’s authority has been questioned in seminaries for years. This is the outcome when false shepherds are in charge.
This is just one of the many reasons why my family and I have left the SBC! I resigned a music minister position at an SBC church in May 2022. I warned the deacons and pastor of what's coming to the local church, compliments of the leadership at the national level. We're SO grateful that we left. Justin, your advice was very helpful to us, too!

Thank you for making us aware of this Posture Shift material. This is my first time even hearing of it.
I'm glad to say that our church voted yesterday on whetherto leave the SBC or not and thankfully we voted yes by 93% of the vote. So we will be leaving the SBC and will no longer be partnering with this corruption and unfaithfulness. Thank you Justin and Casey for making informative videos like these. These have been an incredibly helpful resource in exposing the wickedness going on.
I'm late on this video, but I love having this resource. I attend a medium sized church in a smallish town right outside of a medium sized city. The letters S,B, and C are literally in the name. We are an SBC church, we, are part of the Cooperative Program, we participate in missions with our county and state Baptist associations, and we give to the international missionaries. I've spoken to my pastor several times about these issues. He is not affirming these heresies of accepting sin, and is actively preaching against sin of all varieties. Our church supports a counseling ministry that provides Biblical counseling to whomever seeks it, including SSA people. The goal is not affirm their sin, but to guide them to find their identity in Christ and not in their sin. Praise God for Biblical teachers in my church!
I will not be leaving my church just because it's part of SBC. But my pastor is prepared, if it comes to it, to leave the SBC.
Thank you for this information. I knew the SBC was corrupt (that may be strong language) concerning financial but also doctrine. However it’s worse than I could imagine. My church is a very small SBC congregation many do not know any of this. It’s makes me sad because since childhood I watched my mother and other ladies work in missions with their whole hearts. I realize we don’t need the SBC in order to serve in missions.

I was raised in a Southern Baptist family. My father was a deacon. It grieves me to see the SBC stoop to those lows-so much that my husband & I are looking for a new church.
My church here in Central Florida is southern Baptist non-affiliated and it hasn't changed at all and from the looks of it will never change. Justin Peters would love my small church. Just make sure it's not affiliated.
The church body, your church body, can disassociate themselves from the SBC.
New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by
husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.

Which of the Two Baptisms is required for salvation?
Water baptism was a part of the Old Covenant system of ritual washing. The Old Covenant priests had to wash before beginning their service in the temple. When Christ was water baptized by His cousin John in the Jordan River, He was under the Old Covenant system. He also only ate certain foods, as prescribed by the Old Covenant. Christ was water baptized by John and then received the Holy Spirit from heaven. The order is reversed in the New Covenant. A person receives the Holy Spirit upon conversion, and then believers often declare their conversion to their friends and family through a New Covenant water baptism ceremony.
The conversion process is described below.
Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
(A person must “hear” the Gospel, and “believe” the Gospel, and will then be “sealed” with the Holy Spirit.)

Which baptism is a part of the salvation process, based on what the Bible says?
What did Peter say below?
Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. The Holy Spirit is the master teacher promised to New Covenant believers in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and is found fulfilled in Ephesians 1:13, and 1 John 2:27. Unfortunately, many modern Christians see water when they read the word "baptize" in the text.
Based on the above, what is the one baptism of our faith found in the passage below? How many times is the word "Spirit" found in the passage, and how many times is the word "water" found in the passage?
Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (See 1 Cor. 12:13)

Luk_3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

Joh_1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
1Co_1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (See Eph. 4:1-5)

How many people have been saved by the Old Covenant water baptism of John the Baptist?
Who did John the Baptist say is the greatest Baptist that ever lived in Luke 3:16? What kind of New Covenant baptism comes from Christ?
New Covenant water baptism is a beautiful ceremony which allows new believers to declare their conversion to the whole world.
@@christianamericandominican2470 I am from a large church in Florida, people don't realize all the churches within the SBC are autonomous and voted down some that are going astray. The stance of heretical churches is NOT the stance of most churches in the SBC. I believe these churches and pastors need to be removed from the SBC...

Regarding the first issue I was reminded of something you said that I wrote down some time ago. "If you're going to a church which looks like the world you're not going to a church. You're goung to a goat farm."
Amazing that you guys said this because I'm no prophetess but I said this about 4 years ago. When I was at a church that is part of the SBC and that church also made baptism and numbers an idol. I kept thinking why is this such important than just preaching the gospel. Yes we want people converted but only God can do that. So we focus or keep our focus on the gospel then Jesus already knows who's going to be converted.

My former church was (and probably still is) connected to NAMB and the common motto there was very similar to Ezels motto. It was something to this effect: “we will do whatever it takes except sin to reach a person for Christ.” What I realized about this approach is that often there isn’t any wisdom or discernment to even know what is or isn’t sin outside of the obvious ones (murder theft adultery). And the second you mention any of the other 7 commandments they will cry “legalism” and “phariseeism.”
Amazing that most of my Baptist friends know more about the split in the UMC than these issues within their own SBC.

Oh boy, thanks so much for your courage! I recently moved across our country, and finding a truly bible founded church is really becoming very difficult. I consider "compromise"as one of the biggest sins of our times, along with "don't nitpick, it's offensive". The gospel does not compromise and definitely offends! It’s difficult to find a good church anywhere these days. Even in the southeast. Too much of what is preached is tradition, opinions, non scriptural. Too much topical preaching.

I just saw a he gets us commercial when I watched the OU football game last week. I was confused hearing that Jesus suffered anxiety. Now I know, this is so demonic I can’t verbalize it. God is Sovereign but this is troubling to my soul. I heard a commercial for The Chosen with that “Jesus” saying he came to bring a revolution. Upside Down and evil.
When I saw the very first “he gets us” videos, I immediately had my suspicions and they never sat right with me. Your video is conformation. Glad to see that there are still watchmen on the wall.

Hi Justin--I just watched this and want you to know that, as professor of Bible at Moody Bible Institute for 25 years now, I stand with you and the other pastors you interviewed 100%! I've learned much from this video of which I was not previously aware, and I will make sure to weave it into my classes going forward. The Gospel, which is the Wisdom of God, cannot and should not be made "palatable" to unbelievers, for the true Wisdom of God will always be foolishness to the World (1 Cor 3:19). There's a fundamental problem with missiology here (among other things) for which there's no excuse on the part of SBC leadership.

Thanks for bringing this out. It is heartbreaking. I was associated with FBC Orlando back in the 20th century and I knew many Godly teachers and people there. Even today Dr. Ute is an excellent preacher who has taught the word in the past. I hate to see them being led astray.

I said to my husband for some reason I don’t feel good about that term and now I understand why . This is sickening ! I will be sharing this video with him . I was just recently listening to James White's presentation at G3 this year on the biblical manuscripts and he showed the "Nomina Sacra" (the sacred names) in the old manuscripts. Apparently an early church tradition emerged to put a line above anywhere that one of the names for God appeared in scripture as a way of distinguishing those names and thereby the one who bears the name from every other name in Scripture. Apparently now we are being told not to set Him apart and honour and praise Him as Holy, we're to say he was just like us, a gang leading, social justice pushing man with anxiety issues who was simply the result of a regular teen pregnancy. How far have we fallen?
Thanks for your video! Our Mennonite Brethren conference of churches in Manitoba 🇨🇦is right now playing with posture shift. The representatives from the individual churches are meeting with the conference board on January 20, 2024 to discuss posture shift and we are not to pass on the material we have been given to the congregation. That is a red flag for me. I don’t know much about this program except the little we have been given, the website and what I can find on the net. Thanks again for the heads up on your video! My friends daughter had a three affair with a local sbc pastor. He lied to her and had fake id. I called the sbc to turn him in.. guess what. He found redemption and is still preaching from the pulpit. So so sad. After the gal kicked him to the curb he got back into her good graces and they were texting over three hundred times in three days. So sad

Good morning, Johnny. I hope you're doing well today. I've said a prayer for you, that God will help you in your walk with Him and give you peace. If you truly believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and Saviour, and have admitted this belief to God, it seems you are now saved.
If it helps you at all: I also had lots of 'demons' to shed, too. I've only been saved about 5yrs, and the way I was 10yrs ago seems very foreign to me - I don't know or like 'that person' anymore. I've come to learn that the sanctification process is continual and often gradual, so some changes might happen faster than others. Yes, this is normal.
I tell you this so you hopefully won't feel discouraged or question your salvation in despair. ((hugs))
Hey Jonny. You can have salvation today - at this moment. You and I were created to honor and glorify God. We were created to be be stewards of His will on this planet. However, mankind fell into sin through our father, Adam. Now, his sin is counted against us and we are sinners ourselves, by nature.
We have all told some sort of lie, murdered in our heart through hatred, committed adultery in our hearts through lust, loved other things more than God. We have all sinned.
Because of this, we have the just and righteous wrath of God pointed against of. We deserve God’s punishment in Hell because He is holy; in Him there is no evil. God is completely just and righteous and cannot let our sins slide.
However, God in His great love sent His Son to earth to live under God’s Law. He lived under the Law and loved God perfectly for us. Every bit of righteousness that was required from us, Jesus accomplished.
But what about the guilt of our sins? Jesus solved that too. Jesus willingly took up the cross and died under the wrath of God as a substitute for sinners.
Then Jesus rose from the dead, vindicating that He is in-fact the Son of God and savior of the world. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and makes intercession for His people.
How do you receive this salvation? How do you have Jesus’ perfect life counted to you and your sins forgiven on behalf of His death? You must turn from your sins and believe on Christ. The best example of what that is is by obeying Jesus’ two word command we often see in the four gospels: “follow me.”
You do not know when your life will end; the apostle Paul says that _today_ is the day of salvation. The old hymn says “if you tarry til you’re better, you will never come at all.” So flee to Christ today, believe on Him today. Call upon the name of the Lord and you shall be saved.

Thank you, for keeping us aware. Our sovereign God, once again, is separating the sheep from the goats. We devoted believers must be in the word, to have discernment, know the doctrines of our churches, and be very sensitive to watch for false teaching. Our loyalty must be to Almighty God, His only son, Jesus, and the proper handling of God’s word, above any church or denomination. The SBC has joined other denominations in drowning in a sea of lies. They and NAMB are participating in apostasy. Truth Matters!
Thank you for addressing so much of the false teaching and corruption in the "church". The gathering I attend is blessed with a wonderful reformist pastor and everything's Word focused. This is an SBC affiliated church; the pastor's professor and mentor was James Merrit, so the ties are close on that sense. He's clearly disturbed about all of this (I asked) but not so ready to sever ties. As a church member, I feel "guilt by association", being associated under the SBC's umbrella. As far as I know, the church family hasn't been informed and I feel that they should be made aware. What is your opinion about my personal input here?

The “He Gets Us” campaign has been on social media long before the Super Bowl ad! I lambasted the very first one I saw on my FB feed but it never occurred to me that the SBC would have anything to do with such an abomination! I serve as a deacon in a good SBC church. I am literally sick to my stomach watching this! I am forwarding this to our eldership.
People lack Biblical knowledge and discernment making them susceptible to believing lies and misinterpretation. We are responsible individually for knowing Gods Word in order to discern lies from Truth.

Saddened by the amount of ppl, and churches who promote or do not see the false gospels and capitulation to the ways of the world instead of adhering to the plain lovong truth of the bible. Ty for showing these sad capitulators who have no gospel at all.
I am so very thankful for these two brave and godly men, along with the others for calling out this dangerous garbage. I’m seeing these ads all over the internet and very often on the PlutoTV app. I did a little research of my own when I first came across these ads a few months back and I didn’t go nearly as deep as Tom but I went deep enough to know it’s a dangerous and SJW agenda driven “Christian” campaign. As always praying for you Justin and giving thanks for your passion and faithfulness in bringing the darkest corners of Christianity to light. We love you and appreciate all your hard work. Keep up this very important work.

I would suggest to look for a church being led by a Master’s Seminary California, USA graduate. Those pastors have been taught THE truth. It is not hard to find them. I was able to by going to their website and do a search. It is more than heartbreaking to see what is happening. We were soooo warned in God’s Word. May Jesus be praised!
None of what’s happening these days surprises me nor should it surprise any born again Christian who reads and studies God’s word daily and nightly; The Holy Spirit sheds beautiful light upon every jot and tittle written in His word which gives discernment and wisdom which is so necessary - especially in these dark days.

Been almost 5 years since me and my husband attended our local United Methodist church here in eastern Ohio. After 3 years of attendance there, we were appalled when being shown something after having met the retired pastor there at a church dinner and quickly became good friends. Soon after the dinner he invited us out to his house and showed us what the current pastor wouldnt show us which is the news bulletin that only the pastors get and it showed that the Untied Methodist church only failed by a couple votes to allow gay marriage. We felt sickened that for 3 years a portion of our tithe money was being sent to these false-Christian leaders of the United Methodist churches. Long story short, we left the church with in about a month of seeing the results from the vote on gay marriage.
I hear you, my friend! I grew up in a traditional and conservative Methodist church before the "united movement" got started. I got saved as a young adult and continued at that Methodist church for a short time. The last straw for me was when the congregation hired a woman minister. I didn't know the Bible very well at that time, but I somehow knew it was wrong. I'm very disappointed in the Methodist church. I have been informed that the Free Methodist churches are traditional and biblical. No matter--I am a Baptist now and have been for several years.
Christians today must be Berean and have discernment no matter what the church is. Jesus said to all of His followers, " Don't be deceived!" 🥺😥💔

Me and my husband are non-denominational now but if having to choose, we are very close to the Baptist's doctrinal teachings.
and yes we also had problems with the United Methodist church bringing in women to preach from the pulpit when our pastor was on vacation or sick, and this continued to be done even after we brought to their attention in a civilized manner that the Word of God makes irrefutably clear that woman are not be in positions of elder, bishop, or deacon whereby even providing them the MANY direct scriptures in order to show what God specifically said, but we got the cone-on-it's-no-big-deal attitudes from them and was even told that its ok for woman to preach from the pulpit because we're no longer living back in those times that the scriptures were written and therefore those were different time and why things were done like that back then.
Well we then were quick to give the direct scriptures which say that God and His teachings are the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The world will change and set trends but Christians are not to conform to the world's trends, but then we even got the subtle eye-rolling responses.
The very sad thing is that aside from the many other denominations, we're also seeing some Baptist churches are starting to debate/consider allowing gays to become members of the church and to accept marriage of them. I believe it was Justin Peters, John MacArthur, and a couple others who we watched their videos on that matter

I am astounded at the denominations involved in this heretical behavior. Also, how can places like the Billy Graham College be involved. I certainly won't support anymore services provided by Billy Graham Ministeries until this is stopped. Will also check more closely on classes/training we are sending our support staff to attend.

SSA people, who act on those attractions, claiming to be Christian is exactly the same as me, when I was Catholic, claiming christianity. It is impossible because to be Christian means to follow Christ and neither of those examples are doing so at all

My pastor encourages his congregation members to either "give, pray, or disobey" to NAMB church planting. I will disobey for God-honoring reasons.
It is very troubling to see people this disconnected from Biblical truth when Gods word is right in front of them. Though this has been true for centuries,
2 Timothy 4 v3-4 never seemed so applicable: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and *will turn away their ears from the truth* and will turn aside to myths"
I could not even watch all of this. It makes me physically ill to think an SBC congregation as large as First Orlando has gone to the devil, literally. How do you embrace sin if you are truly a Christian??? We are to teach/preach the gospel & let the Holy Spirit do the work.

In the video is a woman admitting she has her membership in two different churches. When I pastored a Southern Baptist church I had our church clean the membership records and bring them up to date. A number of people that had left over the years had joined membership with other SB churches, yet we were still reporting them as members of our church. A number of the people who were being reported as active members had died. I contend that there are not 14 million members in the Southern Baptist churches because of the way they sloppily count members. I would be willing to say there is LESS than 10 million.
Christ did not suffer anxiety in the Garden of Gethsemane.....He suffered extreme agony. And it was SPIRITUAL agony. Christ drank the cup of God's wrath on the cross.
