Just scored one of these for 59 dollars with a coupon. Just gonna use for hinges and maybe build some shelving. It's a pretty cool little router nice video
I tried this one, and returned two of them before I gave up. Both heated up to the point where I couldn't hold it, just free-running on the bench. The bearings are either totally unlubricated or way too tight, but I'm going to hold on and get a Dewalt one when I really need it.
As for the end of the vid...I don't like cordless tools being they are always dead or the batts have crapped out and won't take a charge. I did find a trick to get the batts to charge again by flashing them with a good batt. They have a sensor in em that won't let them charge if below a certain level. Hooking it up to another good batt will get enough charge in the bad one to then allow it to charge again...
Depends on what you're wanting to use your router table for. If you're looking for a router that will serve any purpose, this is not the router for your table. But if you were wanting to set up a multi-station setup for a project where one router makes a cope cut, a separate router makes a matching sticking cut, and a third router makes a rabbet, you want to set these once for your project AND NOT CHANGE THEM, then this Bauer would work just fine in that type of router table setup. You just have to keep in mind that the motor is underpowered for hogging out huge swathes of material (so don't try that) and you'll need to take care not to overload it, so any type of hardwood work will likely need to be done in multiple passes to sneak up on the final cut. You shouldn't let these things scare you into thinking you need a beefier, more expensive router to get yourself started. You just won't want to use this router for a professional production workshop where you're expecting that motor to chew through full passes all day every day. It would die very quickly in those conditions.
Right now...HF has em for $59 and Loowpes has a Boosh for $89 with micro adjustment is the only diff. We are doing our own kitchen cabs/tops etc and need this tool. My rotozip tool would take the 1/4" trim bit BUTT the base is cheep and really crappy not made to do router trim functions. SOOO....need to make a decision here in about an hour.
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ I will be picking one up soon thanks to your upload showcasing the functionality. If you buy any hand tools, upload a video on those as well if possible. Thank you. Wrenches, sockets, vise grips, clamps.
I found that particular wrench was too small and could not get it to fit. Before someone comments about I made sure that I moved it around to part that was cut flat on both sides, not the full round part.
Bought one yesterday based on this review for $44.99!!
Thanks for watching! Enjoy!
Made it to the nearest HF and picked up this router. PERFECT for what I needed it to do flush trim laminate for our kitchen renovation.
Thanks for Watching!
Thanks Tom, this is exactly the video I wanted to see.
Thanks for Watching! Hopefully it helps
The other wrench is to loosen or tighten the bit. You can use two wrenches together or one wrench with the spindle lock. It's up to you.

Can I mount this on a router table I’ve never had a router before and I just wanted to know
Thanks for watching Patrick! You could although in my opinion it’s a little small for a router table

Nice tool. Would it be powerful enough to work on corian- a hard plastic used for countertops?
Thanks for Watching Joyce! I haven’t tried it, it’s possible
I just have the warrior cheap HF trim router. I think I’m going to upgrade to this for sure. You still liking it after almost a year?
Thanks for Watching! Yup, works very well!
I recommend the Bauer corded orbital sander.
Thanks for Watching Jose! Appreciate the feedback

Will do
They give you the second wrench, for when the spring loaded lock button fails
Thanks for watching Joe! I agree! It all also provides more leverage in case it was over tightened. Thanks for pointing that out

@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ No Problem. I did really appreciate the vid and the comment on the bit. The tip about the hammer tap was extremely helpful.
I need one of these compact routers to route a guitar body. Just eat i needed to see 👀 👍
Thanks for Watching Dave!
I just bought one!!!
Enjoy!
Can’t insert the bit…
Thanks for Watching! As I did…
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ I was saying I can’t insert the bit in mine…. But I just got it in (lord this sounds sexual) using a gentle hammer tap.
Lol! Glad it worked
I love mine
Thanks for Watching Cole!
