  • This video covers how you can lay out a ready design on a sheet of material. If your design consists of multiple parts that have to be cut from the same sheet of material, this video is going to help you to do that. The A2+ workbench is a powerful tool for creating assemblies and the 0.19 Path workbench is better than ever. Free yourself and your CNC with FreeCAD!

Great tutorial. But now the question is how to do the nesting automatically ? Do you think is possible in freecad ?

I am not aware of an existing feature in FreeCAD, but you could take a look at the available addons. Some sort of nesting automation should be possible if you get into Python scripting.

I can not hear you. No command call out in the "show more" drop down" window.

Thanks for a great video, we are learning and you are going over it too fast, especially when selecting paths with a mouse, you're flying over it. Other than that, well done. The mask is also not helping.

Great technique. It would have been a useful teaching if I could understand 50% of what you are saying. The audio is crap. Your mask sure doesn't help.

Next time, try not to use a mask. Your voice is very muffled
