@@danolantern6030 Tardigrades do just fine against enemies their own size, their unique abilities let them survive dry seasons and long-term exposure to solar radiation (the real reason for their radiation resistance), and their reproductive rate more than makes up for getting killed by predators thousands of times bigger than them. They're solid, just small.
If TZ had a general rule that "tiny is bad" then it would be one thing, but he had no issue putting ants and beetles into S-tier despite the fact that birds, reptiles and mammals eat them by the millions.

    Also about its eyes:
They have trinocular vision in each eye, meaning there are three seperate sections that all see separately in each eye. I'd imagine this helps with 3d vision but again, a little overkill.
Oh and by the way, from what I remember they can barely see a foot away from them and it gets blurry. However, my source for that is a link replying to a reddit post that now doesn't work because the community is private and I couldn't find any other sources so ye

The mantis shrimp and pistol shrimp are so overrated, I got so angry when I realised that the pistol shrimps blast doesn’t really do anything. I heard it was as powerful as a bullet and got so excited thinking “wow nature is metal” and then I realised it only stretches 5mm out from the claw and has nowhere near the same power as a bullet. Two frauds.

The main thing that annoys me is how it's sometimes glorified as an "absolute crab killer". I've seen a video where the title goes in the line of "mAntIS sHriMP kiLlS GiANT Craps!" when pretty much all the crabs where smaller than the shrimp. Like, a good sized blue crab could probably tear one apart, or atleast critically injure it. Not that i have anything against feeding crabs to mantis shrimp, it's just how overestimated the shrimp sometimes is.

I was going to try to explain circularly polarized light, but then realized that I don’t actually understand it well enough to give a good explanation…
Ok, thinking about it, I think it is kinda like this:
We have an electric field vector which depends on time (and also position, but let’s consider it only at one position).
This value of this vector oscillates as a wave in the plane perpendicular to the direction the light is traveling. Horizontally polarized is when the vector is always horizontal, and vertically polarized is when the vector is always vertical. You can also have diagonally polarized when it always is along the same diagonal line.
Circularly polarized is when, instead of oscillating along one line (with the magnetic field oscillating along the line perpendicular to it), it oscillates in a circular pattern,
    Like, E(t) = (cos( (freq) * t) , sine( (freq) * t), 0)
(When the light is traveling in the (0,0,1) direction )

And this is coming from a person who hates seeing people glaze with it fighting skills.
