Thanks, Kim! This was so fun watching you put this top together! I can see why it is a favorite using one yard of fabric! Also, a huge thank you for the fusible thread tip for curved hems! Genius! I'm sorry to hear about your root canal...I'll keep you in my prayers. 💗
I don’t know where to start this video was simply fantastic! So sorry to hear about your root canal and I hope it went well . Thank you for doing the amount of time it would take to sew this shirt up, when I watch videos I always wonder how long would it take to make so this was SUPER helpful! I also loved watching you sew, crazy? maybe but I really liked it and your sewing room is such a happy and peaceful place to be and I can see why you love to sew there. Lastly so impressed that you have sew your whole travel wardrobe. It’s all beautiful and have a great time!!!
Fun video. Could you show us how you use the fusible thread in another video. I have never heard of it before. Thanks. Going over to check out this pattern.
This is a great pattern and I have just made one which I will e mail over. I really rate Love Notions - every pattern I have tried has been brilliant and this may just replace the L.DT as my favourite go to top😍❤️
Thank you! It is a Lark Tee from Grainline. The Fabric was an art project when I bought some fabric inks. I painted it with shaving cream and fabric ink ❤️
SO. SORRY. about the root canal! Thank you for this video! I think I have this pattern already printed and everything, and I need a quick top!! I'm going to go check right now. If I have it, I'm sewing it up today!
@@dorothysdaughtersews Happy Thankgsiving to you as well. Ours took place in Oct. (I'm Canadian). I hope your family takes good care of you over the holidays.
Thanks for another great video, Kim! It was fun watching the time lapse sewing. The tip using the fusible thread is wonderful. How would this work with a regular sewing machine? (no serger here.) Also, thanks for reminding us about Love Notions' sale. Hope your root canal went well for you with no pain. Praying for a quick recovery.
I haven’t yet tried it in a regular sewing machine, but I would think if you had a topstitching needle, you could zigzag and it would do the same thing.
Now I wish I would have gotten the pattern yesterday. The fusible thread tip!!!!! I had no idea. Definitely want to try this. Does it wash over and over with no coming apart? Thank you sooooo much! ❤️
Yes, I have tops that I used his method on tops that are favorites that I’ve worn over and over for a couple years! The key is getting good fusible thread (I recommend the Gutterman), and press it well for at least 15 seconds with a lot of pressure and lots of steam. It makes a beautiful curved edge :-)

Well this was so much fun to watch and Love 💕💕 the tip on curved gems. Heading to LN now. Thanks.
You are super quick and experienced haha I guess it will take me triple than that as I never did it.
This was fun to watch. And I love the idea of using the fusible thread for hems! I hope your mouth is feeling much better by now!.

have my thread ordered and my pattern is ready to copy. Thanks and hope your tooth feels better
Thank you! The root canal wasn’t bad at all!
Fun video. TY for the tip on the fusible thread. Did you fold up the hem 1/2 "? This method might take over the need of the Cover Stitch machine.
I just found this video Kim. The questions I asked you earlier might be answered here. Sorry, I should have searched first.
No problem at all. Sometimes I even forget which topics I have covered, LOL. Happy Thanksgiving!

@@dorothysdaughtersews Great idea! Thanks!
Hope your dentist appointment went well. Praying for you.
I've never gotten a curved hem to lie perfectly flat, so I'll be trying your fusible thread tip. Thanks!
Thank you, Dannie! If I am sewing a lot, I’ll make two or three things and then hem them all at once so I don’t have to rethread my serger as often.
😀
Hi Kim!! You have 3 beautiful shirts.. Hope your dentist visit went well..

Thank you so much!
Kim, do you find that a sewing form is helpful to your sewing?

Dorothy’s Daughter thank you so much. Will give this a try. ❤️
Hi again Kim. Got the thread yesterday. After pressing up have you ever sewn on top of it? Wondering if it gunks a machine needle up.
I have never seen on top of it that I can remember. I think you could? Maybe try it and just go really slow at first?
@@dorothysdaughtersews Will do an experiment. Thank you Kim. I hope you have a super week!
What is the dress pattern behind you?
It is a jumpsuit mashup of two patterns from Ellie & Mac. The South Shore Romper and the Curved Hem Tee.
On my way over to LN.
Thank you, Sue!
