Ville Valo has a 5 octave voice. I've heard him short a phrase, but never hits a bum note! And, yes, he chain smokes thru their whole set to fight nerves. In case you haven't caught on, all HIM songs are love songs...and Ville often equates love and death in his lyrics. Thanks for reacting to this...its an epic tune!
@@silviahannak3213 Yes, he's quite reserved, and gets nervous on stage. He carries an inhaler (for psychosomatic athsma) in his pocket for security...like a teddy bear!
Ville is a huge fan of Type-O negative. Yes, he use to smoke like a fiend. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen them live. They never disappointed. I saw them on their farewell. It was so bittersweet.
It's nice that they included that little talk in between songs at the end of that live video. I've always found it quite funny. I've seen them a couple times, and Ville's quips between the tunes really make the shows a great experience. He's always including the audience, and giving some friendly banther to his band mates. Because "Sleep Walking Past Hope" has those long quitar solo parts, he says to Linde "We're glad to announce that the next song doesn't have a guitar solo, you're off the hook man haha!". He continues "...buuut in a way this next song does relate to you, specially at this particular moment when you're... fairly medicated." Linde had injured himself in some way on the days before the show, so he was precribed some painkillers, of which he was under the influence during that show. The next song they played on that gig was "Killing Loneliness", which is about heroin addiction.
Yes, it's really a pity that they haven't developed this love of experimentation in their songs, but apparently such a long song no longer fits in today's Spotify-dominated times. For me it was and always will be HIM at his best
@@amygoodson-catlady for you is good but I got mixed up... its all tears is the mind blowing acoustic track... here it is ruclips.net/video/mR-7HxwiWhc/видео.html
I don't know that Song. What a Sakrileg. HIM.. an underated Band of the 90ies. Solitary Man, Redemption. Yes they were Smoking on the Stage ..in the 90ies. Nowadays..no Idea if he does that. Hope to see VV on his Neon Noir Tour (if is there one) Feb 2023..New Solo Album. Different but sounds a little bit like HIm. (Pun intended)
his success is, in him being sexy and a badboy. I want to see Charon - Colder on your channel. their singer,JP is still doing music on several side projects and has a great voice.
Never heard anyone compare HIM, a finnish goth rock band to southern rock before lol but okay. More black sabbath doom genre inspired to me. But opinions are like assholes.
Oh lord lol H.I.M. Is hit or miss. There is no in between with them. This track is good, though. If you ever saw Jackass or Bam Mangera, he loved H.I.M.
This album Venus Doom is my all time favourite, such a masterpiece, perfect at every level
Heard about it. Have to Listen to it. Though i know a lot of their Songs. Dark Light Was the End for me back then.
His voice is unbelievable!
I am in love with Ville
we all hh
If you watch the whole concert omg everything was perfect

Huge Black Sabbath influence in their sound.
"Funeral of Hearts" is a great song from them.
Definitely one of my absolute favorites from them 🖤
one of the best for sure
Many of his songs
One of my favorites too ❤️
7:42 everyone is cheering because they know what's coming! I'd love to hear this song for the first time again.
Edit: great reaction 🇦🇺
You definitely have to watch the whole concert. It was simply put EPIC.

Excellent song. ❤. Every time I listen to it , I got the same excitement as it was the first ❤❤❤❤❤

Yes, those were the good old times when the atmosphere between the friends and bandmates was still right. Unfortunately, that changed after TOT
Goth Rock at it's finest
So glad you liked this song!
Studio version sounds flawless)))
Absolute banger!!!! A rollercoaster of emotions!!
Keep reacting to HIM I'll keep liking and subscribe!
To answer you question about smoking, it’s fair to assume he smokes in his sleep. Rare to see him without a cigarette.
Great reaction, thanks! Always enjoyed HIM songs 😊

I saw them perform this live 😝🔥💕
Venus doom baby!!! Listen to the whole album epic!
Passions Killing Floor ❤
So glad you reacted to this song! It's my absolute favorite from HIM!
Great reaction, thank U! Always ready to hear more HIM 😊
I've heard ppl say they wished the bass solos were longer.
They started as a Type O Negative tribute band. Try "Love's requiem" and/or W.L.S.T.D., you will like 'em.
absolute masterpiece 🖤
HIM 🖤
I love this song. The entire Venus Doom album is epic. This one is almost like a traditional HIM song with some prog metal sprinkled on top.
Great video. :) You should totally react to HIM overdrive 1998 It's all tears.
definitely 😍😍😍😍😍
The whole performance honestly
YOU HAVE TO REACT TO FOR YOU ACOUSTIC - his vocals on that are INSANE and its all LIVE
Would you be able to throw up a link? I've seen them live a dozen times but don't think I've seen an acoustic For You.

React to Ville's VV - Salute the Sanguine
Yes he always smokes at all of his live shows.
And so what??? Still imcomparable with the others who neither sing nor smoke!!!
@@natyknatyk2335 It doesn’t bother me. I’m just answering their question
En realidad es la mejor pieza de Venus Doom
You should of been smoking a cigarette and drinking red wine whilst listening to this!
Also nuka cola hat! Badass.

Yeah! That was my first exposure to HIM, was the old CKY vids, Bam really helped them have a fan base in America
Oh wait, I never found them to be hit or miss for me, but I respect your opinion!

@@Yeedeed CKY-Escape from Hellview, might as well.
