The main line in Kraków is being renovated at the moment, that’s why the trains coming from the east are taking a detour via Nowa Huta.
I see it makes sense!
I really liked this new travel vlog format! It feels like it lets you connect with video creator on a bit more personal level.
Also thank you for bringing some historical facts that for me as a Pole might be obvious but for others may be genuinely interesting.
Also also, your polish pronunciation is almost perfect, if you ever had any doubts. ;)
Overall, thank you for the video and have a nice day!
I'm very glad you liked it! Have a nice day too!
Congrats for the video! I enjoyed a lot the new format! You can feel much better the experience!

Those light buttons in the compartment do make sense. Just take time to see the displays :))
Great video ! One really experiences what it's like to travel with this train. Greatings from the Netherlands.
I'm glad you liked it!
The longest train journey in Poland is (the summer-only) train from Przemyśl to Hel (I think the name is IC Artus) via Katowice, Wrocław, Poznań, Bydgoszcz and Gdańsk. It was ranked as the 5th longest PKP route (longer ones are all cross-border).
Trains change direction in Szczecin. They enter and exit the station from the east. This train splits in Poznań (some of it go to Świnoujście and some go to Ustka) but no changing direction. It's possible that some cars are added and/or removed along the way (in Wrocław for example). There used to be a couple of cars from Ukraine (from Lviv) attached to this train. They stopped doing that because of the war. Przemyśl station is important because Ukraine has soviet style wide rails (distance between rails is bigger that in the non-soviet parts of Europe). There is a single wide rail track from Ukraine to Przemyśl and it terminates there. This is the main way weapons are being delivered to Ukraine right now.
Great video!
Thank you!
Good narrative, I liked it :)
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
Next time - try ARTUS, over 1000 km, and on vacation, when it goes to Hel (but not to hell) - 1084 km.
I add it to my to-do list!
Just dropping in to give you kudoz for almost perfect pronunciation of "Przemyśl" and "Świnoujście". Both are really tough for non-native speakers.
Years of learning were not in vain haha
great video!! I’ve always wanted to embark on some sort of long train journey, but unfortunately it’s pretty damn expensive here in the US for anything like that (certainly not $40!!)
So true! I would really like to explore America by train but the trains there are incredibly expensive..
Who is the lucky person to sharing sleeping compartment with such sexy boy ? Christmas comes early 🤩
Is the train you took a daily or weekly train?
Daily!
OK, as aPole. I don't know who is a target of this train. I would personally just take a car trip > if I couldn't I would take a plain > if not I would stop in a middle and have a night off... So I still don't know who is taking these trains.
Trains are far cheaper than cars and planes and also environmentally friendly.
