My go-to value meal is the Classic Combo at Taco Bell. It’s usually fairly hidden on their menu but it’s $5 and you get a lot of food. It comes with a Beefy 5 layer burrito, a taco, cinnamon twists or you can swap for chips and cheese, and a large drink.

The Rodeo Burger is absolutely an underrated gem! One of my favorite things to get from anywhere, I don't know if you can still do it but you used to be able to sub a chicken patty for the beef patty too if you wanted. I endlessly wish the BK close to me was still open.

Arby's is so weird. The ones here in my town are almost always devoid of customers, but yet they've been open for years and years. I do go to one every once in a while because it's right by the Lowe's that I spend way too much money at. Their sliders are actually pretty solid, but whoever decided to get rid of the potato cakes needs to be drawn and quartered.
My favorite budget McDonalds item is actually the Daily Double, which isn't on the menu but can be ordered via the kiosk or drive-thru. It's basically a McDouble but with lettuce, sliced onions, tomato, and mayo (instead of the diced onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard). Banger sandwich. Might be a cool idea to explore the best "hidden" options like that, stuff that can actually be rung up but isn't listed on the menu.

BUT the best things on their menu to me are the standard sandwiches (like the Montreals, I LOVE the Roast Turkey & Swiss) that w curly fries and a shake or drink is always the best combo. But they don't advertise them ever so no one really knows about them, they don't even list them as part of the menu on their American site but do include them on the Canada site. I feel like I'm eating an actual sandwich and not fast food. This doesn't relate to the video whatsoever, obviously the sammies are still not the cheapest option, but if anyone is ever wondering why Arby's is still in business I just wanted to give that recommendation (don't forget the curly fries)
Coming from a present tacobell employee I definitely enjoy the cheesey bean and rice burritos they are fantasticly tasty one of my go to for sure besides the beefy 5-layer add potatoes and 3 cheese blend.

McDonald’s, McDouble small fry is 3 bucks. KFC famous bowl is 5 bucks. Taco Bell has a HUGE value menu that’s super good. Wendy’s 4 for 4 too. These are the cheapest but best filling meals from fast food places in my opinion 😊

My BK order is always 2 Rodeo Burgers and a value coke. BK definitely isn't the gold standard for fast food for me, but if you catch a Rodeo Burger right after they dropped fresh O-Rings? Sweet, smokey BBQ sauce, crispy onion rings, and a charred patty on a sesame bun... absolute heaven

A typical definition of a fast food place is where you the customer can order food and drink over the counter and receive said food instantly. This is why Starbucks is #2 on the list. Yes, Dunkin is on the list too. Other notable top 10 in the US include Subway, Panera Bread, Domino's, and Chik Filla. My personal favorite? Cook Out! They are mostly on the East Coast so they're not big yet, but they're quite tasty.
@@glndreamer Cook Out's menu consists of what you would normally expect to find on a back yard grill. This can include burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and bbq. It tastes just like it came straight off a back yard grill too which is why I like it so much. It is also a pretty good value too. Most importantly, while they are not open 24 hours, they come pretty close, staying open till 4am on the weekends.

I’ll be honest, you can get a classic Chick-fil-A sandwich for like $4. It’s the gold standard for me. No fries, no drink. Just get me a chick fil a sandwich and some sauce and I’m a happy camper. Quality is unparalleled.

Haven't done Hardee's since 2015, when I on vacation somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic region. My home state of Connecticut is one of the few that does not have a Hardee's nor Carl Jr.'s. If I recall, the food was decent and it was actually brought out to me. Fast food restaurant of choice is usually BK and they have a decent value menu.

I agree, fast food in my opinion should be things you can get for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Not somewhere you just get coffee or ice cream. Because fast food was produced mostly for people who were travelling for long hours and days. Whether that be a road trip, vacation, work, or truck driving.
I am not sure if this is true at every taco bell, but they will give you a large fountain water for 10 cents at the one near me. My go to order is two Cheese Bean and Rice burritos, and a large fountain water. With tax it comes out to about 2.50.
KFC once gave me my order which was like a 4pc strip basket with mashed potatoes, a cookie, drink and an extra side of Mac but also gave me a mashed potato bowl!! Could have been a mistake or from a previous order but I was happy to have lunch for the next day!

Having worked at Burger King for quite some time back in the day, I knew the Rodeo Burger would be a top contender. I'm pretty sure it's still $1 (before tax) and it tastes way better than it has any business tasting for being so simple. The Rodeo Burger was one of our more popular items among staff because we actually knew it was on the menu, and it was a good small item to use your daily discount on, if you couldn't justify buying a whole meal that day. We also knew how good they were, and that we use a different barbecue sauce on sandwiches than we do for dipping sauce. The dipping sauce is alright, but the sandwich barbecue sauce is noticeably better. Though, shoutouts to the retired Arby's Pizza Sliders. So underrated, but they were really good, especially for their happy hour price. Also, it's not the cheapest menu item, but back in the day the Beefy Five Layer Burrito at Taco Bell was my go-to because it was $1.59 - not sure what it costs these days.

@@glndreamer Cook Out's menu consists of what you would normally expect to find on a back yard grill. This can include burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and bbq. It tastes just like it came straight off a back yard grill too which is why I like it so much. It is also a pretty good value too. Most importantly, while they are not open 24 hours, they come pretty close, staying open till 4am on the weekends.
Man, Cook Out is so freaking good, but you know you're about to get carjacked or mugged when you see one.
@@Firevine hah! Maybe in your neck of the woods, but some of the ones around here are near Vanderbilt University and MTSU and have on duty security guards during the wee hours. Can you imagine a fast food place jam packed with primadonnas at 2am?
@@nashvillan4lif Here in Georgia, Cook Outs are almost _solely_ located in bad parts of town. It's so wild. Every time I see that sign, I know I'm in the hood, but Cook Out is worth the risk.
I’ll be honest, you can get a classic Chick-fil-A sandwich for like $4. It’s the gold standard for me. No fries, no drink. Just get me a chick fil a sandwich and some sauce and I’m a happy camper. Quality is unparalleled.

Haven't done Hardee's since 2015, when I on vacation somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic region. My home state of Connecticut is one of the few that does not have a Hardee's nor Carl Jr.'s. If I recall, the food was decent and it was actually brought out to me.
Fast food restaurant of choice is usually BK and they have a decent value menu.

I agree, fast food in my opinion should be things you can get for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Not somewhere you just get coffee or ice cream. Because fast food was produced mostly for people who were travelling for long hours and days. Whether that be a road trip, vacation, work, or truck driving.
I am not sure if this is true at every taco bell, but they will give you a large fountain water for 10 cents at the one near me. My go to order is two Cheese Bean and Rice burritos, and a large fountain water. With tax it comes out to about 2.50.

KFC once gave me my order which was like a 4pc strip basket with mashed potatoes, a cookie, drink and an extra side of Mac but also gave me a mashed potato bowl!! Could have been a mistake or from a previous order but I was happy to have lunch for the next day!

Having worked at Burger King for quite some time back in the day, I knew the Rodeo Burger would be a top contender. I'm pretty sure it's still $1 (before tax) and it tastes way better than it has any business tasting for being so simple. The Rodeo Burger was one of our more popular items among staff because we actually knew it was on the menu, and it was a good small item to use your daily discount on, if you couldn't justify buying a whole meal that day. We also knew how good they were, and that we use a different barbecue sauce on sandwiches than we do for dipping sauce. The dipping sauce is alright, but the sandwich barbecue sauce is noticeably better.
Though, shoutouts to the retired Arby's Pizza Sliders. So underrated, but they were really good, especially for their happy hour price.
Also, it's not the cheapest menu item, but back in the day the Beefy Five Layer Burrito at Taco Bell was my go-to because it was $1.59 - not sure what it costs these days.
