The TB cravings box is the GOAT of value meals - and you nailed it with the exact same “most food possible per dollar” strategy that I do: Crunchwrap, 5 layer burrito, potatoes.
That Crunchwrap on its own by itself is $5 on the menu - so basically everything else in the meal is *free.*
Pair it with the rewards points for ordering on the app and you can easily score free nachos bellgrande’s every once in a while to make a hell of a feast for a couple bucks.

Agree with the TB cravings deal. Mine is with a black bean Crunchwrap, black bean 5 layer burrito, Diablo sauce, cinnamon twists, & Mountain Dew zero sugar.
Used to do this, but now that they raised the price I order 5 rice and bean burritos. Costs just as much, and is more food

I like the various criteria he uses and his overall testing methodology. But it just seems a bit odd how much he focuses on Taco Bell and how often it comes out on top, at least from the videos I've seen from him.
And to be fair, all the talk of Taco Bell has made me crave it like no other. So if he is a shill, he's doing it right.

Taco Bell is also very customizable with a ton of non "Value" options, Which puts it way ahead for me. Getting two beefy melt burritos for $2 each leads to an immensely filling value meal.
The chipotle ranch grilled chicken burrito for $2 from the value menu is AMAZING. They’re so fuckin good.

You can switch out the drink on Wendy's value combos for a small frosty, which significantly ups it's value in my opinion.
I tired a chocolate frosty for the first time and it tasted like cardboard lol

I noticed a lot of offerings went up a tier! Bacon double stack used to be a $5 Biggie bag option but now it’s part of the $6 Biggie bag. I honestly just get a Dave’s Triple when I go 😂

I stopped going to Wendy's because of atrocious service. At least at the ones near me. I used to work fast food, when they still paid 7.25, it baffles me that workers now get paid double that and they are completely incompetent or just don't care to do basic things.

Alot of places have auto soda machines, meaning that they are intentionally shorting people ounces despite how cheap soda is vs. advertised amounts. Which is crazy to me.

It's a crazy good deal, you can customize any part of it too. Like you can do a BBQ or chicken sandwich instead of a burger, 2 wraps as your sides, double up on fries / hushpuppies, pretty much anything they've got. And their shakes are gigantic
The food is great too. We have one an hour and a half from us and will still go out of our way to go. We always hit them up when we pass one too
Couple bucks extra turns the drink into a milkshake, 40 something flavors/mixes, so good

I started watching with the taco bell documentary. I have to say I am so surprised that this channel isn’t a 500k+ subscriber channel. Gives me super size me with project farm vibes. Love it!

Taco Bell's $5 cravings box is a great deal. I calculated it would cost over $13 at menu prices if you picked the most expensive items. McDonald's usually has a 20 nuggets and 2 large fries deal on their app which is about $5.70 in my area and would cost double that at menu prices. I think the Little Caesars large pepperoni pizza for $5.99 is still one of the best values and you could easily share that with someone else. Subway always has a BOGO coupon code that many people don't know about and you can get two footlongs for less than $8 using that.
subway hack use the BOGO coupon and make the first footlong how you like and the second a spicy italian with no veg, veg goes bad in the fridge. then tomorrow at lunch you throw that puppy in a microwave and boom hot italian sando
It amazes me how people don’t use food apps/order online …it’s 2023 - I literally have almost every fast food app in my area.. the deals on them alone are worth it.
Fun fact: Little Caesar’s does a “Make It A Meal” deal when you order the Italian Cheese Bread ($5) + 2 liter of soda ($2.99) automatically when you go to checkout - it goes to $6 even. Pair that with a couple hot n readys and it’s a steal!
My Taco Bell raised it to the $6 box online only for the last few months and now all of them nearby increased to $9 box. I like Taco Bell but for that price. Might as well go somewhere else

@@demetri58 yea the box that would be $5 in 2018 is now $9 with the same items and the $5 box now only has Taco Burrito and Drink . They used to come with Taco , Burrito , Chalupa (whatever you wanted ) + nacho fries or anything with drink now costs $9 instead of $5

Wendy’s has been my choice for a quick a cheap filling meal, I found the best value you get is when ordering for 2 or more and taking advantage of the online/app promos. I usually pickup two 5 dollar biggie bags and upgrade to a large drink and fries each are then like 7 or so dollars making me eligible for their 3 dollars off promo so in the end I pay 12 bucks for everything. Sad that fast food has gotten so expensive that a small family can easily spend 50 or more dollars on what should realistically be a 30 dollar meal, so I’m hopeful that more places implement these value oriented deals.
I just cooked an 8oz filet mignon and baked potato for $11 😊. Fast food is way over priced now but very addictive, I could taste a QP with cheese right now thinking about it.

Once Wendy's gave us an entire bucket of chicken nuggets for FREE it was incredible to be honest. I think so anyways because when I asked my dad right now he says he doesn't remember, might be my memory but I remember us all being shocked when we got a bucket of chicken nuggets.
I absolutely love the $5 cravings box at Taco Bell, you can upgrade to a large drink for 10 cents which would have made the margin of victory even bigger.

As a British person looking at this they all seem like ridiculous deals. We wouldn't get a meal like any if them for less than 15 pounds (Like $20 I think?)

The taco bell cravings box is such a good deal! And because you have to use the app you get the rewards points anyway for free food later. Of all the fast food places, i feel the best about eating at taco bell. The choices are relatively more healthy (in my opinion) and as long as i dont overeat, i dont feel super crappy. In this day and age it’s hard to balance price, convenience, health, and satisfaction.

the Taco Bell in my town is so god awful bad. They cheap out on the ingredients. the food is old. the workers are slow. I refuse to go to it any longer. It's like this all hours and has been for years and years.
The next closest is like 20 or so miles which is just more than I'm will to drive for fast food when I have other options. Wendys, McDonalds or Long John Silver...

This is the greatest honor of my life
Where I am, the only fast food restaurant that regularly offers a value meal is Burger King. You get 2 small burgers (they vary which kind every so often; the best is when they offer the Big King Jr.) or 2 junior chickens (or 1 of each), small fries or small onion rings and a small drink. If you eat it in the restaurant, you can refill your drink as many times as you want to. Less than 2 years ago, they offered it for $4.99, then raised it to $5.99 and now it's $6.49 (Canadian dollars, of course). It's the best deal if you want to get relatively full without spending a lot of money. I just had it yesterday, but I wasn't wearing a lab coat when I ate it.
The eat-in-and-refill-your-drink strategy definitely cancels out any differences in drink size!!
Wendy’s enthusiast here. Where I am located, you can also upgrade the fries to a large for 60 cents or so, or substitute the fries for a chilly or a baked potato at no extra cost I think. There is also the Frosty Key Tag that you can use as well.

The taco bell mobile box for 5.49 with the gordita crunch, 5 layer, potatoes, and baja blast is amazing, also when you order that on mobile 2-3 times you get enough points for a reward, the best reward being the nachos bellgrande at 700 calories. Insane....
