The award-winning vocal ensemble, directed by Suzi Digby OBE, presents the Graduate Composers' Showcase, a scheme which sees the group support composers at the start of their careers. Five Graduate Composers have been commissioned to write a brand new work reflecting a renaissance masterpiece of their choice, which ORA Singers will perform in concert at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Also included in the programme are two new ORA Commissions from critically acclaimed composers, Paul Mealor and Odaline de la Martinez.
The Graduate Composers' scheme sees ORA complete its 'pathway of support' for composers of all ages, sitting between their Young Composers' programme, which has mentored nearly 200 state-educated students since 2019, and their '100 Commissions' project, which aims to commission 100 professional composers in 10 years, with 75 now completed.
