Several years ago, I was interested in replacing my little camcorder and I looked at this camera. I ended up getting the DJI Pocket 2. The interesting thing is that they both have the same-size sensor. I have to say, this footage looks very good. IT's a very capable machine. Nice job, Tom!

Well, I dont have GH5 S. I heard is good for low light but no stabilization. I dont like cameras without stabilization, I like camcorders - everything in one, easy to carry plus good zoom.
I thought so, but unfortunately, the video camera is no longer in place today! An interchangeable lens machine, especially if you're working in low light conditions in the evening, is essential! I think the GH5s have image stabilization and lenses too! All kinds of lenses are available as you want, high zoom, low brightness, etc.

La cámara Canon AX40 no reúne la condiciones que indican , en condiciones de poca luz, presenta sobre exposición. debes colocar un foco para atenuar esta condición. el 4k es otro punto en contra, dado que su procesador es muy malo. la cámara XA40 (XA45-50) solo sirve para uso familiar o para turistas. La canon XA no sirve para trabajos profesionales. Mejor resolución de imagen he conseguido con mi teléfono. Atte.-

Anyone use this camera on manual mode in comparison to XA30? We use both XA30 and just snagged this XA40 for work purposes and at 1/60 shutter, same F stop - the XA30 is *NOTICEABLY* brighter - I have to increase XA40 gain by 6db to match the XA30 at same f stop / shutter speed. Am I missing something as one would think the newer camera would match or be better in low light

Well, I dont have GH5 S. I heard is good for low light but no stabilization. I dont like cameras without stabilization, I like camcorders - everything in one, easy to carry plus good zoom.
I thought so, but
unfortunately, the video camera is no longer in place today!
An interchangeable lens machine, especially if you're working in low light conditions in the evening, is essential!
I think the GH5s have image stabilization and lenses too!
All kinds of lenses are available as you want, high zoom, low brightness, etc.
Hi, what settings did you use here and/or what was done like color. You didn't write anything. So you just turned on the camera and recorded.

Bei Minute 2:00 sind die hinteren Frauen schärfer als die vorderen Frauen - also Weitwinkel könnte besser sein - obwohl die Tiefenschärfe nicht so schlecht war!

La cámara Canon AX40 no reúne la condiciones que indican , en condiciones de poca luz, presenta sobre exposición. debes colocar un foco para atenuar esta condición. el 4k es otro punto en contra, dado que su procesador es muy malo. la cámara XA40 (XA45-50) solo sirve para uso familiar o para turistas. La canon XA no sirve para trabajos profesionales. Mejor resolución de imagen he conseguido con mi teléfono. Atte.-

The Sony a7III is an excellent machine!!!
Anyone use this camera on manual mode in comparison to XA30? We use both XA30 and just snagged this XA40 for work purposes and at 1/60 shutter, same F stop - the XA30 is *NOTICEABLY* brighter - I have to increase XA40 gain by 6db to match the XA30 at same f stop / shutter speed. Am I missing something as one would think the newer camera would match or be better in low light
no, there are too many pixels on the matrix and because of this, reduced sensitivity. To meet XA30 requirements, you need to take either G60 or XA50
