  • The 'Great Bank Heist'. That's the title of a report detailing corruption at VBS Mutual Bank.
It might sound sensationalist, but it's really not. Advocate Terry Motau, who was the investigator tasked with the report spoke to News Hour's Shahan Ramkissoon. Courtesy #dstv403

our current public protector is so laid back and quiet on matters like these she should be standing up for starting from the Vrede dairy farm heists she always protects these criminal politicians at the expense of the public. the ANC really needs to do better when electing candidates to fill these positions qualification, experience and performance base election would be better. Greed, greed, greed is getting us nowhere. This Bank paid for Zuma on the Nkandla saga now it's bankrupt being liquidated let's start from the roots. there needs to be a strategy to pay back these people their hard earned money those who took bonds and loans must pay back as agreed, those responsible need to be taken their assets: houses, cars whatever sold to pay back those who lost. our justice system is so weak and these privileges these politicians get pisses me off its like when you are a politician you can getaway with anything.

@@preciousisiguzo2052Remember when our parents used to say that stealing is very dangerous, you start small then it escalate. The next thing you go to jail. I can relate, we were poor, but would never steal again. Now these politicians are addicted to stealing. So sad stealing from our grandmothers.

"Motau named 53 people who, he said, had collectively received R1.9-billion from VBS. Among them are a former KPMG partner, Sipho Malaba, who received R34-million; the Venda king, Toni Mphephu Ramabulana, who scored R18-million; Brian Shivambu, the brother of EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu, who received R16-million, and the big winner - VBS chairperson Tshifhiwa Matodzi, who received R326-million." Because the leaders of the black elite and black politicians like the anc ,eff, and mk are born thieves.that is the reason they fear whites and indians being in leading political positions that will not allow looting of the state coffers .

BLACKS must with immediate effect set up another bank ,and ensure that nothing like this will ever happen again in their watch. I challenge the EFF fraternity to take up the challenge. I also think that there was complacency in the reserve bank which egged on the bank into disrepute. THERE IS NO WAY such a colossal amount of money can slip through their hands without their notice.
