I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
Hi. Some of my fly rods have small dots on the male ferrules. After close inspection I found out that paint is off and graphite is seen. Is it bad news or does not worth to pay attention?
What he really meant was how NOT to fix a broken rod. If you did t want to cut off the split ends, you should at least sleeve it from the inside and outside to maintain the rod outside diameter rathen than forcing a piece of blank and opening up the split ends. Also, nail polish is not epoxy nor does it have the bonding strength required for this type of repair.
