- Hey all you Home Menders! Nothing worse than not being prepared for a trip to your local hardware store. Sure we don't have the down home, country, small-town hardware store charm, but where they lack in charm, they make up for in orange. Dustin takes us with him to the Home Depot and prepares for a job, cracked ceramic tile replacement , chocolate caulk, cart class and even how to get lunch money. You can do it!

---------------------------------
One of the top 10 Home Depot runs I’ve ever watched.
Thank you weekend appreciating you friend
I definitely learned something. Thank you
Thank you Kristen appreciate the comment
Great video Dustin
Thank you my brotha. !
Always good content man, take care!
Thank you Max appreciate the comment!
Dustin..I am sure you & me have been to Home Depot the same amount times!! The trip you took to HD for the video was very enjoyable & entertainment.. I think you could do more of them to keep us entertained!! Keep up the good work & see you soon on the next video my friend!!
Hey miles always a pleasure thank you sir. If I had to do the quick math I would say 2 to 3 trips a day every week day since 2007. If I had to guess I’m looking better than 10,000 trips. you think we would’ve seen each other there by now :-)
great takeaway for me - watch out for the 'beige trap' because there's a bunch of beiges I guess haha
There are so many beiges. Good eye bill!
Love your work Dustin 🛠️ In New Zealand we don't have Home Depot we have a few others - funny our shopping carts are basically the same
Thank you Liam appreciating you friend!
must be a very slow homedepot. u be lucky to find one of those big cart here
Tell him to get more carts T dub I like to add “Lowes has plenty” LOL
The main issue in these stores is if you need help loading up a cart with plywood. No one can be found. I usually shop Lowes since more of them around me and no issues with military discounts.
Hey Mr. J you are absolutely right. I’ve always lived next to the Home Depot so I’ve always shopped there, plus my work shirts are usually blue and people keep stopping and asking me questions while I’m in Lowe’s LOL
I learn something new with every video Dustin! Shopping with you was wicked fun!! : )
Thank you Kerry! You’re always fun
Awesome. I watch a lot of your DIY. This is a great video. Thank you for posting this!
Btw. Love the thumbnail. You "nailed" it. 😁
Thank you tonya. A fun one to make. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much. I do like that one :-)
@@homemend You're welcome. Keep them coming. Have you done a bath tub install. I don't remember if I see that or not.
Hey tonya. No mam I have not. Just a big sink really but I will put it on the list. Thank you!
Any Good or Bad suitation in your life comes because of three things, first what you think in your mind, second what you speak out to this world, third is based on your action and desires, make your thinking, speaking, action as clean as possible to make your life beautiful. 😀 Have a nice day 😃
Absolutely reality thanks for sharing. I appreciate the comment
Is it possible to replace an entire bathroom sink while keeping the old counter and storage space under the sink? Both my faucets leak nonstop and I cannot seem to fix it so I imagine replacing it all is the answer lol
Hi bi. Yes it is. You can pull out the sink and faucet but keep the vanity. Just measure the sink and buy the same.
General question: how to give a customer a proper proposal and estimate. I don’t do this for a living but I always wondered what would I charge the customer for my services?
Do you have a rule of thumb that you use?
Hey Mick that’s a great question. I try to break it down super easy for myself. How much will it cost to do the job and how much will I be happy doing it for. It typically works out about $100 an hour on basic calls but if you’re fast and good you can probably do better than that. I hope this helps. I also have a price guide available that I use for common service calls. Shoot me an email at thehomemender@Gmail and I will get you some info :-)
@@homemend will do brother! I’m actually a a salesman for a diesel engine distributor I handle the Kohler, Kohler marine and Yanmar product line mostly work with OEM’s and dealers but of course I am a jack of all trades. I have gutted and repaired several houses with friends that needed help after flooding and hurricanes including my moms duplex when she needed help and will really consider doing some side work once I decide to take the leap! 👍😎😬
That’s awesome man. Love it. I would be more than happy to coach you through that. Side hustle can turn into 6 figures if you’re good and fast. I would love to help.
Is that the littleneck hd
You certainly know you’re home depots Fred. Thanks for commenting
Nice hair home skillet!! Amazing video keep up the great content!!! (Read this Screamed through a microphone) -but not a fan of cryket pattern hat laughing out loud-
Thank you my friend, give me a break it was the only had I hat in the truck. Also not my fave
@@homemend Haha only messing with you home skillet
Don’t forget to check out the clearance tool section!
Hey Pete I never find those to be discounted very much, I’ve never actually bought one LOL
I actually just signed up for the Pro at Home Depot..: like legit not even 2 hours ago… but the Margins for the discounts seem pretty crazy… like sure the first one starts off at $2500 a year, than $5000 and seems to double from there on out, but if it resets every year how can you expect to even get those other perks…
Like from my understanding you get a better deals and discounts if you’re a larger company as opposed to just a handyman
Hey k. I’ve been a pro member for about 15 years and the perks are extremely minimal. You may get a $25 off or $50 off but it’s not much you can count on. The reason Home Depot works for me is there’s six of them in my city and I can buy whatever I need and take back whatever I don’t hassle free
Say chocolate more lol
I didn’t know how else to describe it. Oh and it worked perfect. Chocolate!
It’s just funny you could mix it up and say bucket also lol
A home depot employee that doesn't know anything... color me shocked.
You got that right my friend. I get tons of customers that say well I asked the guy at Home Depot LOL, I say that guy just sells gutter parts he does not install gutters
Running out of content ideas? I'm pretty sure everyone know how to go shopping, especially us Americans.
Hey who. Not exactly I thought it would be fun. And not everyone knows, didn’t you see that lady with the concrete blocks in a shopping cart? Thanks for watching :-)
@@homemend Okay, I get it, but no video, no matter how good, can fix that level of, let's say, not smart.
