This is great content mate, I’m going to join and do the officers course after my level 3 collage course, this is great content to get me prepared for the training
I could do 40 of these pressups in 1 minute when I was 14 and did 48 when I was 15, but I am a really bad swimmer. I am confident in water I am just really slow because I don't really know how to swim.
book some swimming lessons mate, no shame in it, probably after 1 month you'll be confident. also push-up form is really strict focusing on the triceps so what you did when you was younger may not be applicable.
@@donnyrogers1445 Yeah definitely would be worth the money. Even thought about trying to teach myself. Fortunately, I have been firm set on joining since really young so I used to follow the military standard ones. Close arms and very low to the floor. Unfortunately, I got addicted to doing them and now my elbows click any time I do pressups.
I failed the interview test twice they said I wasn’t fleetness ready enough and my application was terminated, they told me I can start a new application in 6 months time. I’m working so hard towards that
@@mandontcare192just passed my interview the other day most of the questions are simple , like what do you do in your spare time . Just remember to be positive with all your answers .
Say when it’s says you are required 10.5 on bleep test would u not recommend stopping when you hit that mark to save energy for the other tests if that makes sense ?
Do we still have to do the PJFT and after completion we then go down for rop or is that not a thing anymore, after that we move onto the new prmc then into troop ?
At the moment it's a couple of months. Lads are passing cpc and got start date of match. But by time it comes to you it may be shorter. You can pretty much pick a start date so you give work notice.
Got my CPC booked next week and these vids have helped a tonne, top stuff
Nice hope training has gone well. Glad they have helped you
14th?
how did it go??
Max pushups: 50
Bleep test: 12+
Max sit ups: 70
Pull ups: 10
When did u do cpc
What is pass mark for sit ups

Did you join?
Mpct?
That marine shaking the sweat of his wrist from the recruit 😂
I’ve just passed the CPC. one word of advice. Practice your endurance
Nice congratulations and great advice
What’s the cpc I’ve just applied last Thursday
@@brandonbarlow6586 it's pretty much prmc just research it and read up on it all.
So do they stop the videos/ recordings at the pass mark just something I’ve heard
@@robertthirtle9630 yes the pti will stop the tape when he wants. So you work till he says stop
Really helpful, got my CPC next month
Happy days crush it
Same bro
Same here
@@tomgunstone3430 good luck with it mate hopefully see ya down there 👍
Hope get thrashed for putting a green lid on a mut
I'm surprised some of the guys there didn't know the proper form to do the exercises, especially when they have already completed the PJFT.
Class video thanks for the info 💪🏽
Thank you
Good informative video on the CPC

Great lads but the amount of people also in this video who go down there not knowing or not strong on the correct form is shocking 😅

What do they normally ask for an interview ? Any tips

Any idea what the Officer Selection Course entails?
Is Jason Clark voicing this by any chance? 😅
dont bother doing the cpc if you cant hit 10.5 on bleep its a instant fail of the whole course
After all the gym stuff in the CPC do u do the swimming on the same day after doing all the pull ups and press ups or no
Yeah pretty much
@@marinestrainer alright thank you
Ignorant American here. But has this course replaced the PRMC?
Yes correct it sure has
Say when it’s says you are required 10.5 on bleep test would u not recommend stopping when you hit that mark to save energy for the other tests if that makes sense ?
They will stop you at the pass marks but if you can do more before going in. You will be fitter which means you will recover faster between.
@@marinestrainer nice one cheers for letting me know , I should of made it clear I meant on the day , I’ve been aiming to max scores in training
@Jozuh had a bloke on my prmc stop on 10.5 thinking he was slick like that, was binned instantly there and then
@@marinestrainer what do you mean by that like when it gets to 40 push ups u stop?
@@robertthirtle9630 yes correct it's sub maximal. So don't go to max effort they stop you just before.
Only 40 pushups? Isn't it 60 for teams and 85 for POC? ..in 2 minutes..
There max scores
Pretty sure its 30 press ups min now?
Wow really thats shocking if it is
@@marinestrainer do u know why theyve lowered the standards? The prmc sounds much harder.
How do u know?

Is the 3 or 4 mile run back to camp a timed run?
At the end of the endurance course no it's just a run back staying as a group. But legs will be super heavy and tired
@@marinestrainer Ok thanks. So they have done away with ALL timed runs then? Interesting
@@thecuriouslobster plenty of timed runs during recruit training don't worry.
Hi mate, do you have to do the swim breastroke? I am a great swimmer yet the only movement i can’t do is breaststroke 😂
Yes the main stroke you'll do everytime is breastroke.
Is this still the same now
Pretty much we interviewed a lad that's done cpc and he spoke about it. Check out latest videos
Scoring and tests are all wrong in this little speech, for those looking at joining you'll be sent the marks in your joining instructions.
What were they?
What times would I be looking for for the 3 miler?
1.5 miles 11 mins
Rest 1 min
1.5 Mike's best after sub 9 minutes
How big is the pool 50m or 25m ?
25m
