I do get what you were saying, I like how it all ended. But what gets me honestly is why everybody likes to put Tara in a category like she is the more classier one, mature one or the better woman. Tara was just as grimy in this love triangle but people only see Amina as the bad person. Tara played into the foolery as well and was not innocent at all. Just because we were introduced to Tara first, and liked her, I think people automatically chose sides and viewed Amina as a homewrecker. I read Amina’s book and it explains a whole lot that the show did not even put out. She was not a homewrecker. And when Tara found out that Peter was married, then that should have been enough for her to bow out. The fact that she continued to deal with him, sleep with him and even have a baby with him was grimy. She been with that man for 10 years, two kids and still no ring. So happy her and Tara worked it out she has no right speaking on Tara son but I understand where she’s coming from being humble and not having the right to speak up Peter has really torn her apart and if speaking up and fighting back is her way over protecting herself from his manipulation but all means do so. The problem isn’t the little boy the problem is Amina has unsolved hurt and broken feelings that needs to be addressed with Peter, Go to therapy Amina it helps your never get closure with a narcissist so find it within yourself

It’s why when they were married he went home to Tara the very night of the wedding. And when he and Amina were “married,” and Amina stopped by the club to see him when he was with Tara as his date, woman of 13 years whom he lived with for 12 years and had 2 kids with, he told Amina to leave and asked her why she was there.

That isn’t the point. The point is Peter is raising his son to be ashamed of picking “feminine” things out, he is indirectly teaching his son how to be ashamed of who he is. Bobby explained it perfectly when he said how the priest told his mother girls walk with their elbows in, boys walk with their elbows out & how still to this day he walks with his elbows out so that he could “feel like a man”. Y’all are just focused on how upset she got vs the message she was actually saying. Stop teaching your sons what to like and what not to like. They are kids. I wasn't trying to tell anyone how to parent. I was simply stating facts that as a mother to a child who came out recently as non-binary, I had read up on how children are WAY more intuitive to how adults act and react to things. Especially parents. How while what a parent/adult does or says may seem TRIVIAL and "no big deal" to THEM...it may infact BE a big deal to a child/their child in how they perceive themselves and whether or not it is truly ok to be who they are.
It is scary....it truly is scary as hell how we as parents can UNKNOWINGLY hinder our children's sense of self with something as small as a phrase or reaction...
If I had a son...I would rather him be a well adjusted and secure gentleman (gay, straight, bi, etc) who treats women with RESPECT than a Supa-creep who treats women like fckin kleenex like SOME PEOPLE we see 🤨....wouldn't u agree ladies?!

As a father I understand Peter's position. That's why as parents we need to be proactive in these type of conversations and not just in the moment. In the moment emotions and feelings get involved way too much. With family sometime it seems the hardest thing to do is just have a conversation especially in the moment. Very mature of moment for Tara and Amina!💯

That means I can love someone without loving their decisions. I’m not going to change who I’ve been as a person and just accept what I don’t agree with as a person. There is a difference between love and respect and I don’t mix the two. My child is going to know I love and respect them. I will love them, and not disrespect their choices. Their choices are their own, as is what comes with it. Flip side of that is they are going to respect me. Any part of their choices or life style that is not approved of in my house, simply won’t be in my house. That goes across the board.
