Experience with guys like this says that if yandy did leave him and he went on about it you're right he would go on about it until he gets further down that road and realizes who was really down for him then I do see some of them then come back around but by then it's generally too late.

I had a man that went to prison and was sentenced to 10 years. I was 18 years old. I got tired of being a prison girlfriend by within 6 months. I was DONE with accepting collect calls, writing letters about nothing and him acting like I was supposed to be faithful and wait for 10 years. Boy bye!! I was out and realized early that I am not built to be a prison girlfriend or wife. If you're not free, you can't be with me

Absolutely agree. Therapy is beautiful and for mature grown adults. Not interested in anyone that is incapable of expressing their emotions and recognising trauma and pain.
Yesss. My baby's father went to jail and has gone through a lot these past few years, But he doesn't go to therapy to deal with it. He kinda just deals with his trauma and he doesn't really even talk about it. That's one of the reasons why I left because I want someone who's going to be open and honest with me, also someone who isn't going to act like a victim.

Now, if all they said was true, and they if mendeecees would be fine if yandy left him, then he’s not the man she thought at all. From my observation that last stint in prison changed things. Also Yandy can come across arrogant and even a bit braggadocious at times, she has said some off things on camera, that, perhaps not taking all of his calls, erika’s claim of mendeecees being 2-faced etc etc etc have probably all taken a toll on this relationship; having said that- if he truly looks into who he loves and is honest, that’ll be the best resolution for everyone.

I get that when he was on the inside, phone-calls and emails were his only link to who he was as a free man. So when she didn’t do those things, he was hurt. And he was frightened.
But hearing him say that he would effectively bounce if the shoe was on the other foot....he doesn’t realize how good he has it.
Well after he admitted his mom stepped out on him that effects him which it would any person. When someone that is supposed to be THAT close to you leaves you, you can become hardened by it. You can become numb. Lose a sense of self that should be there but isn't. It can be regained but it takes time. He has issues with his mother which effects his relationship which is why he answered as he did. He is a street guy, no doubt and what he has admitted helped us all see why and how he can be callous at times. That's what Yandy has to deal with. Now HOPEFULLY, after all that she has done to stick by him he can get some healing in the sense to know that "hey. There is a woman close to me who WILL stay with me, no matter what." So hopefully in a few episodes later from now he will recognize that about Yandy.

The first step is to heal with his mother and his mom needs healing also because in the family reunion Yandy mentioned it while he wanted to say his truth in front of others but his mom stopped him before he even started!! Deep down he sis still a lil boy abandoned by his mom and dad . If he doesn’t heal.... Their marriage would be at stake at some point

It’s like... Yandy knew he was a regular a** street dude. She fought and lied with his other baby mothers like he was a prize. Over the years, the relationship made her personality unbearable. I was in a VERY similar situation in my teens with my first boyfriend. I decided not to wait for him after a few conversations we had early on. He resented me for it even though he knew he would never do the same for me because I guess that’s not what guys do 😒..Also, even after all my early efforts as a teen to be there for him, it was never good enough. Not riding it out with him was one of the strongest decisions I’ve made. Proud of myself for it. I’m not ridin for no one who wouldn’t ride for me.
Too many of us women are willing to hold a man down who wouldn’t reciprocate the same energy & It makes me sad.

I saw a little of myself in Mendecees when he was talking about giving her an out. Its a defense mechanism in a sense to protect your heart and mind from potential hearbreak. But as Yandy spoke how it made her feel when he said certain things like "You can leave" I realized I can't be saying things like that to my fiance. I guess ppl like me don't ever want the person we say we love to think of us as weak or easy to take advantage of. I gotta do better. Uh but unlike Mendeeces if the roles were reversed, and my significant other went to prison, I'll fo sho hold them down.
