Man I’m starting to think since the Rane 68 & 64 Dee Jay Mixer companies don’t Remotely Respect us 4 channel turntablist!!! We work on our sets/routines/battles/blends/mixtapes & everything else harder & longer…. The Mixer companies that want their brands to be noticed should really build a 4 Channel Dee Jay Mixer that picks up where this one left off or the Rane brand left off with 8 pads like that. The FX assign is what is holding me back from making this purchase, I’m used to my on board FX being engaged over top of the channel I want to affect. As far as changing out Faders, that doesn’t sound like something a customer should have to do in order to get busy… They need to fix that themselves A$AP!!! Thanks Bro for being honest Nice Vid!!!🎬🎥🎬
Good video. it's hard for me to break away from Pioneer Dj's DJM series. Mainly because of sound quality. But, always open minded about new gear from different companies.
Thanks for the in depth review, Kareem. I've been looking into this mixer and I'm really fond of the current price (under 600 euro) and its functionality. I'm not a scratch DJ, I'm a club/festival DJ. At gigs I of course can use the top line equipment from either Pioneer or Denon, but for home use I'm looking in smaller/less expensive stuff. I've been using Serato for many years now and I really want to keep using Serato, thus I'm in need of compatible hardware. What I can't find out, is the following: As for tabletops/turntables, can I use whatever brand/model with this mixer, to get full functionality in Serato ? I mean, if I were to choose older Numark tabletops such as the NDX ones or the Reloop RMP-xx or even the older Denon DJ SC2900(M) ones, would I be able to control those decks in Serato with this mixer ? I've posted some topics on some forums about it, but nobody seems to know the answer to this. Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this. One of the main reasons I want to stick to Serato DJ, is because I use Tidal and have a premium subscriptions for it. Again, I do not scratch (anymore) and I'm mainly into the Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Psytrance scene.
Thanks for watching! You can use this mixer and Serato DJ with old CD style decks if you are using the timecode Serato CDs inside them. You will lose some functions of the players, but everything else ill work in software and playback.
Without having great faders like the Duo, this knocks this mixer off of my want list. I will wait to see if the Xone:96 is serato compatible or end up with the RMX90 DVS.
The Z2 is still an amazing mixer for the money, but yes, whenever they refresh it or come out with new Z2, let's hope they have way more performance pads, more FX buttons & controls, and add some bling to it. They need to catch up and catch up quick. The Pioneer S9 and Rane 72 have set the stage.
@@pierreyves7821 DVS is unlocked but not sure if this included the vinyl. The faders are NOT Galileo. You would need to upgrade them to innofaders or Galileo if you want them to be scratch-ready.
Still dope! 100% agree on the channel faders. Owning a Z2 the first time I touched a DUO I was repulsed by them. It feels like there are tiny detents all the way up and down the fade.
Hey there, awesome video! I just bought a mixar quattro and I'm trying to get my phase working with it without much luck. I've got the channels selected to USB on the mixer and the phase connect to the line inputs on those channels. My laptop is connected to the computer which seems to be working well. The song is loading but when I push play on the turntables the song isn't moving. I've also selected relative on serato dj. What am I doing wrong? So frustrating 😂 any help would be more than appreciated
Make sure you have Phase setup correctly and set to SERATO mode in the Phase manager. Then you need to go to setup options in Serato to see if you see a timecode signal in there. If all else fails, try to make the timecode work with your needles first then switch over to Phase...
@@RealDJblaze chur bro! Seems like it's set to serato on the mwm application. When I go to set up it doesnt seem to be showing those green circles (the time code I'm imagining?) At all. It doesn't seem to show them with the needle on the vinyl either
Hi man, i have 1 question please, you can check if the dedicate filter are the real filter mixer or if are mapped in serato to like in the mixars duo please? Thanks
I don't have this any longer so I can't check... I didn't think that the DUO was mapped only... I actually thought they were hardware filters... I assume this is the same as the DUO tho...
DJBooth Pro Audio Are not mapped only, but the filters duo they are totally different when from used with serato or with real vinyls, because in serato are duo filters + serato filters, and the serato filter are very strong (so much resonance). Anyway thanks for the answer. 🙏🏼
Hi, someone use send return with Quattro ? And something like Pioneer RMX ? I wait for a serato DJ mixer with midi function and good send return for Rmx . (Best of both World ?)
All you do is download Serato DJ Pro on your computer then plug in USB cables for the Mixer and the two 12's and everything will be ready to go. Simple really.
this is the best 4-channel Serato DJ mixer WITH MIDI controls out there on the market today. If you need MIDI hotcue pads and you use Serato, then this is the only option...
@@RealDJblaze thanks for the fast reply! I'm looking for a good four channel mixer with dvs capabilities cuz I do a lot of scratching and trick mixing and this sounds like it's perfect for me
Having issues with installing the firmware update. Downloaded file tried to open it and it says cannot open this file. Is there any input you can give to fix this issue?
I figured it out what I had to do was go inside the firmware folder copy that file and place it in the downloads folder then open the mixars update program and pull the file. and it worked. Thanks for responding. And you're right the effects????? stick to the Serato effects....The firmware updates for those cant come FAST ENOUGH bro. Besides that this mixer has BALLS!!!

NI should take this footprint BUT have the Z2 crossfader and line faders for a new Z4 mixer for Traktor!

Pads are way too close from needles IMO. Bad things could easily happen to your needle when practicing juggling or routine

Thanks for all the info. I have a question between the mixars quattro and the Reloop rms 90 which do you recommend?
The Quattro since it has MIDI pads and buttons/knobs for control in the Serato DJ software...
