Pornography disfigures your mind, soul, and body. How I regret falling into this vice, now that I'm in my 30s.
Pornography is the iconography of the devil.
Pray for me brothers and sisters. This sin I struggle with greatly.
Praying! Keep fighting the good fight.
I still don't know why I fall. It might be apathy.
It’s humanity. We will always fall in some way. Just confess, and try, and struggle and hopefully the falls become fewer, smaller, and farther between.

@@pasalasagaI’m so sorry brother. I’ve experienced similar feelings during my battle with porn. Just never give up hope. It’s a theological virtue, meaning that it is given to us by God. So, at least as many times as you fall, pray to God asking for hope and continued repentance. He surely will not abandon you. He is close to you always. He is always clamoring to pour out His tender mercy upon you. If only we knew how much He loved us; we would weep unceasingly out of joy and gratitude. Know that I will pray for you.

I can't concieve It. I've been like for more than half of my life.
@@pasalasagaI've felt that apathy before. I haven't fully removed it but I haven't let it claim me, I've kept fighting it. I would speak to a spiritual confessor/director if I could, but I'm not Catholic yet so sadly I can't.
Porn chops people in body parts.
If you think about it, it is the same thing that serial killers do.
If you see the similarities even in metaphores, it is quite creepy

Well crap guess im gonna be working on myself for quite a bit of time
object vs subject was a huge part of a conversion in my life. I was surprised by noticed that I lusted over parts of my wife and in a sense didn't see her as a whole. The Holy Spirit has done a lot of work in my in regards to this and I'm thankful.

Ya know...I appreciate these stories, and I as a Catholic woman under this concept very fully...but what to do when your married to a non Catholic who has no interest in learning this, no interest in reform from these things...but again married with children. How about practical advice on how to help "gentiles", help our men to see this reality when they have no interest in Catholic teachings or theology of the body concepts. who have hardened hearts to this type of thing. How to we descretly help husbands as divorce as a Catholic woman is obviously not an option.
It's not an advice. But if a catholic is married to a non catholic the marriage can be divorced.
@@anthonytoujours9182 I'm aware but the Catholic cannot remarry or date or be with another man ever again as it constitutes adultery still. I don't qualify for annulments on any grounds, I knew the covenant I was entering into. And a covenant is for life. Til death do us part.
St. Dominic preached to the Albigensians in the 1200s and famously converted them. This was thought to be an impossible task. A lesser-known sub-story, though, is that (apparently) he had been preaching to them for a little while, but nothing was working. Only after he received the Rosary from Our Lady, began praying it himself, and began preaching with it, did his efforts bear tremendous fruit.
TL;DR, The soil must be watered with prayer before it bears fruit. If you don’t already pray a daily Rosary, I invite you to do so and include your husband in your intentions. Who knows how long it will take, or what will happen, but be assured that Our Lady will help you and your husband tremendously. I will pray for you both.
@@JacksonD0716 I do pray a daily rosary and he definitely has some dedicated decades specifically for him. Been about 1.5 years of praying but I also realize St Monica prayed for 30 years for her husband and son, and look how that turned out for St Augustine. That's what I'm holding onto. I just wish in the meantime there was something more I could do to lead him away or bring him into an understanding. He's become very anti-catholic so I definitely have to be clever with my approach/presentation of information.
@@hoosiermomma5I think the answer of how to approach him will depend on the specifics and nuances of his personality and beliefs, you'll have a hard time getting the right answer from people online who don't know either of you. I suppose they say the best foundation for evangelizing is living as holy a life as you can, but past that, only you or someone who knows you both (like your priest perhaps) will be able to say

there is no "euphemism" for breasts. It's a body part. And it's no problem to speak about it.
My problem with this is not that its not true. It very much is.
But for me who steuggled with porn since puberty it amazingly was rather "easy" to get away from porn with real people.
The problem I got was that I took drawn and animated stuff kind of as an "exit-drug".
I struggle still with this. It is almost as wrong as classic porn but the "I am hurting other people" part is gone which makes it easier to submit to the sin for me unfortunately.
