The 2023 Centennial Family Awards: The Casselberry Family

Every year, the History Center hosts a public presentation and ceremony titled the Centennial Family Awards. This event recognizes and honors families and businesses that have called Lake Forest home for the past 100 years.
For 2023, the History Center recognizes the Casselberry family, who have served as members of our community since the late 1910s. The ceremony begins with an introductory presentation on the honored family by Deputy Director and Head of Curation at the History Center Laurie Stein. Following Laurie's presentation, family speaker Jackie Casselberry King guides the audience through incredible family microhistories, anecdotes, and recollections of her life and the lives of her family members.
