When she broke down over saying that country music doesn’t always look like them, I knew she wasn’t just speaking from the standpoint of their skin color (though that is also a huge factor) but she was also speaking as a big woman in a genre that seems to usually only acknowledge the thin, white, blonde, and blue eyed singer. Did anybody else felt like the song wasnt long enough? Like they're so good that I did not want it to end. I just love them and thats why I keep coming back to watch their videos ❤️
All Bands. Singers, etc. have to limit their song time during auditions based on the amount of time given to all acts. If you listen to covers of well-known songs performed, you can see that they usually have the first verse, chorus, and maybe a little of the second verse. If you listen to Drake Milligan’s first audition, he only does the first verse and chorus of “Sounds like Something I’d Do”. In the Finals, they played much more because they’re given more time. The first auditions are limited because in 2-3 minutes, you can tell whether or not an act is good enough to progress or not; and if an act really sucks, less than 3 minutes is all anyone can stand. With Chapel Hart, the first harmony was so good it was obvious they were already seasoned professionals; but unfortunately in the music business, it sometimes takes more than that.
"You can give it a try if you want" I genuinely don't think they were going to do it until she said that, it shows confidence, determination and personality, all of the things the judges look for in performers, it takes more than just a good voice, and these women have it all
I believe that Howie and Sofia were considering using their Golden Buzzers, since they hadn't yet. However since all of the judges liked them before and after their performance, as did the audience, what's the fact that during and after their performance they had none of the entire crowd giving them a standing ovation but also all four judges, I'm certain they were thinking of a Blue Golden Buzzer. But you're definitely right about how cute, amusing and confident it was when Trea said that. 🤗🤭💯❤️
Wasn't that a great performance?!?! The song was terrific, playing off Dolly's "Jolene", but not trying to cover it. This is a fantastic group and I want to see them, live. I'll buy a ticket!
"A lot of tears, a lot of beer, a lot of wine" what a great line... Just love these girls and that happy happy song... and boy oh boy that lead singer has a great voice...
Hey, how music affects us, how we feel it is internal & the colour (or lack thereof) of our skin can’t dictate what we feel when we are alone with music.
I hope one day it isn’t stigmatized. All are welcome in country music, and anyone who says otherwise don’t belong. A movement Brad paisley started a decade ago….african Americans in our country deserve better.
I was one of only two black people at a Reba concert, more than 15 years ago at the MGM in Vegas. I was in Vegas, just saw the sign and bought a ticket. Knowing all of the songs she sang (I had 10 albums), I was singing LOUD and jumping up and down. The surrounding concert goers were just in shock. One even said, "Damn you know them all"! When I saw these women perform, it took me back to that concert and its energy. But now they look like me. Country music is for everyone.
Blows my mind when caucasians force their way into R&B, Blues, Jazz, Hip hop, Salsa, Bachata, EVERY genre but when Melanated People come back home to country, they are marginalized!? The AUDACITY.
I believe music is universal, it doesn't matter what background you come from is that love and passion for a particular genre then why not! It takes that one person to believe in you, look how far Eminem and what he accomplished in hip hop. Well done ladies
I highly suggest Mickey Guyton, if you haven't found her yet. She's an AMAZING country artist. Chapel Hart showed up on my RUclips feed a few days ago, I loved them before I saw this. Such amazing talent
They really deserved the Golden Buzzer. Not only sounded terrific, these women took a loved classic song and were able to build on it in the most respectful and awesome way.
Lol they played the victim card and got the buzzer. "NASHVILLE DOESNT LIKE PEOPLE LIKE US" LMAO please. NASHVILLE doesn't like anyone. It has nothing to do with them but they'll play victim anyway.
Not only is this group special because of their incredible talent but I love how each member has their own distinct look and style! They are fun to listen to and look at.
It kind of reminds me of the Pointer Sisters in a way, who also actually started out as a country group and with each sister having their own unique style and personality. Loved them!
yes!!! They're so polished, they have such a great vibe. Their band name is even fantastic, catchy & not cheesy which is rare for these shows. And the OG song was an instant classic!
Whoever passed them up in Nashville is kicking themselves and rightfully so. They brought the house down with their talent and energy, and in my opinion the only act worthy of a golden buzzer this year. Truly felt wonderful to watch this performance and I'm not much of a country fan but I am a chapel hart fan.
Dang! What a GREAT original song to answer the original song! Voices great, lyrics great, instrumentation great - wish they were a top country group right now! Golden Buzzer dang well deserved!

Good music can be easily felt by anyone who loves music and this group is what they have done to the world, they have brought the iron door that was blocking them from going to where they are supposed to, and not only the door but also took away all the hearts of country lovers, I am proud of these young beauties who have proved to the world that country music is for everyone with the passion
They were just incredible!! The fact that they wrote such an incredible and original song, their voices just blend beautifully. They deserved that golden buzzer. They are so humble too!
I just went to see them in concert a few weeks ago...not only are they super freaking talented, but they are the nicest human beings I've ever met. Very personable and so, so sweet! Can't wait for them to come back ❤
I saw these ladies perform on America's Got Talent last night. I'd never heard of them before. I've been listening to country music for over 50 years, I love country music, and this is GOOD country music. This is the type of country I'd crank up on the jukebox at the bars while I'm drinking and having a good time. I can definitely say I'm a fan now, and my only question is: Why isn't this played on the radio? Ladies, I wish you all the luck in the world with future success. The lead singer said something to the effect of "most of Nashville doesn't look like us." Well, baby doll, it's time for that to change. You are definitely Nashville material and I'm delighted that I discovered y'all.
Jayess MS! Go Chapel Hart/Poplarville!! You girls show Nashville what they have been missing. Cannot wait to see you perform with Dolly! And keep being original and your beautiful selves. This world needs it! Sending you love!

The country music world has been slowing down lately and everyone's been desperate to see and hear someone new, a group, anything to help pick it back up. These girls are it!! That song had a lot of heart & soul in it, sung to protection. I believe we have all just witnessed a new spark to the world of country music. 10 for 10!!

@@HawkMother It's Darius Rucker, and he was more pop-rock when he broke through in the 90s. The first African-American female country singer I can think of is Tracey Chapman, but her guitar-based, introspective style feels very different from Chapel Hart's energetic, upbeat audition song. There IS a gap in the market for them...
This was a top notch performance. I have always been a fan of AGT and this was, to me, the best I have seen on the show ever. The talent these ladies have is remarkable. Their original song was absolutely out of this world. I hope Dolly somehow gets to see this and appreciate their talent and efforts as well as their energy and the crowd appreciation. What makes this group of ladies so great is that they contributed to a change for country music, came with ORIGINALITY, and talent. I really hope these talented women go far.
Great story line of these ladies. Their grandmother had 17 children and over 100 grandchildren. We need to learn more about Chapel Hart. It would be a history that would be interesting to alot of people.
@Booker Tee, I absolutely love them, and it’s very similar to my family, except my parents had 21 children. My Papa was born 1901, and my Mama Dec 25,1926. I’m the youngest girl at 56,and there’s one boy under me who’s 52. I have brothers and sisters old enough to be my parents, also nephews and nieces, that are far older than I am. I’m and Aunt, Great Aunt, and Great Great Aunt. At this point it would take time to count up the Grandkids. I’m always interested in big families because of mine, so I’ll check out their family history . Thank you 😊

Amen, doesn't need to look the country music like them, they already created a new "Country Look" that's what makes them unique. They already are what country music will look like for this generation. The lyrics, the tunes, it is amazing. Now it only depends on their willingness to learn. And my heart is beating and shaking that someone may mentor them to the wrong patch. I wish for the right person and right mentor for them.

I have met them in person at an event and had a chance to talk to them. They are so genuine, humble and yes, incredibly talented.

Wow..they are so good and talented. God bless them
Did anybody else felt like the song wasnt long enough? Like they're so good that I did not want it to end. I just love them and thats why I keep coming back to watch their videos ❤️
Felt exactly the same. They're simply amazing-so simple and so AMAZING at the time.
Really
They are superb
Exactly
It's an audition, you only have 2 minutes
"You can give it a try if you want" I genuinely don't think they were going to do it until she said that, it shows confidence, determination and personality, all of the things the judges look for in performers, it takes more than just a good voice, and these women have it all
Yes!!! I thought that is what did it.
It was all planned out. You guys must be slow.
Yes I think so too - very brave
