The same people who watch you doing the heavy recovery videos are the type of people who would love to see that equipment’s restoration process. PLEASE make those videos.
Being a woman growing up on farms and dealing with a lot of old machinery and seeing you guys go and recover such an old well built piece of equipment. You should restore it and use it. You know those older things are far better with time. Plus it would be like me telling my husband since he's an old-timer that I'm going to fix you sell you and by a newer model. No my ole timer is far better than anything that has to be Rhode and drove for many of years before I have it broke in. New is not always better that baby still has a lot of miles.
As a heavy duty truck mechanic this is some fine video footage. I love the equipment and I love how everyone there is doing something to keep the ball rolling. You guys are easily the best RUclips channel right now. Thank you 🙏
I never watched this channel because I want to support the average American RUclipsr. Not the big money, big production, Hollywood style channels. This is RUclips"s game, Too off the small creator and bring in Hollywood only, big money channels. But I do love watching HeavyD and the guys. This is the way I grew up, working hard with my hands. I wanted to start a RUclips channel, but can't compete with stuff like this, and a health issue I can't afford to treat or get help with. So I am stuck, sent home to die a slow painful death.

When you consider how much these machines have done for the planet and the people who live here on planet earth its a no contest on restoring them and a rebirth of respect who do so, you guys are just awesome to watch.
Only Sparks and his guys could make a trip like this one (recovering an old loader) so enjoyable to watch. I seriously couldn't see myself being able to sit through a 40+ min episode from anyone else. I love that you started a RUclips channel so I can live vicariously through you, Great content!!!
Hey Boyz, I grew up on a farm. My grandpa and I restored a 1947 international tractor with a bellies mower. I mowed with it for year's. Lots of good memories. God bless and keep y'all
You mention that this cabin is near his home town (Beaver). Well, Butch was one of my Great Grandfather's dear friends and employee (when he needed to scrape up some coin and hideout). My older brother is named after him. Dated photos of Butch standing next to my GGF (a well known Utah railroad and road constructor) taken by a known Utah photographer were used five years ago to prove that Butch didn't die in Bolivia (as they were dated afterwards). As I'm sure you're aware, Butch was protected by many and seen as a hero (stealing from "the man" and giving to the needy). He is buried in the US, just not at this location...but rather near one of your recent visits...
Thank you for sharing your family history with us. We all appreciate such amazing stories and information. Do you know what happened to Sundance? I still love the hollywood movie of them. It is one of my favorites. I did not believe they parished in Bolivia, but came home to finish out their years. Blessings.
I was told my Dad's Grandmother was a cook on cattle drives in Eastern WA, around the time that Butch Cassidy was there. Unfortunately, my Grandfather became an orphan. He later trained horses and built the highway up to Mt Hood, during the Depression. He was born in 1888.
The Spokesman-Review had a article some years back or maybe it was the Cda Press about Butch Cassidy's aunt in Spokane saying that he visited her and lived somewhere in this region. Quien sabe?
@@charlesbranch4120 I heard Butch Cassidy was in the Washington region, too. He could have easily been rustling Cattle from Idaho or Utah. He was born in Beaver, Utah.
You should a 100% restore because things like this that have a big story to tell usually end up in museums seeing something that still works is Magical and should never disappear So please restore
Awesome episode! I enjoyed the recovery and would watch more videos on restoring the equipment you recover. Amazing that something so old can still run and did not rust out. I’m an Orthopedic spine surgeon who used to work construction as a young man and enjoy seeing machines do their work!
My grandfather told the story that when he was a small boy in Wellington Utah, when Butch Cassidy would ride into town he would pay my grandfather a Nickel to tend to his horse and to keep quiet. My great grandmother would always make sure that Butch had a hot meal. This story never made sense to me because my grandfather was born in 1905 making him just a toddler at the time of Cassidy's alleged death in Bolivia. If the story you shared is true, my grandfather's account makes more sense.
I would really love to learn more about restoring these machines. Every episode I watch you guys cracking valves, spraying starting fluid, penetrating piston rings, and changing/cleaning filters. It seems like it's pretty simple to get the thing running provided we have the right diagrams or knowledge about the machines and where certain vital systems are located. Since I only had the chance to work on a loader restoration one time it would be really cool to see more in depth videos explaining how the stuff works and what you do to fix it. I'd love to do work like this but I wish I had more experience and I think your videos are a really good place to start learning.

But, doesn’t the engine require a higher octane ? Obviously, not as high as a gasoline engine. Those HD compressed air driven pumper spray btls have multiple uses. How about for the BBQ? Grilling those thick steaks.

Nice to see the old turbo oven trick is still being used. Back when I was truckin' for a living, we also used the windshield and/or defrost to cook things quite frequently. Also knew a guy that rigged up an insulated aluminum box with a hatch attached to the catwalk and the exhaust stack. Part of it was wrapped around the stack, and it did a surprisingly good job of harnessing the heat and using it. As for restore vs sell, if it were me, I'd keep that old beast for sure. Even if you're not gonna keep it forever, I'd love to see it restored and even customized.

Ya'll should have a CB even handheld in each truck in your convoy. Makes it easier for us truckers to alert you to issues and get info on back ups or road hazards. If ya need a lady trucker to help out lemme know. Ya'll do an awesome job with a big heart.
Video style and footage has dramatically improved since the beginning. I’d watch the restoration on some equipment. Never know when the information would come handy down the road.
I have to say I loved everything about this video, but that song you play at 37:17 is the jam. Just a perfect song for moving that tractor after all those years. The song is awesome! You guys are awesome too!
My wife’s father could run stuff like that. I watched him run a machine once that was like he was reaching out with his arm and hand and moving dirt. It was so smooth...
Heavy D, love this Y.T channel you've created, & the antics & bond you guy's have with each other while actually working, you can tell is genuine & far better than any contrived reality show. As for those vehicles, there's enough shows about buying & selling motors, so I'd love to see a 4 Ep series on certain ones you deem worthy of restoration, after all, they don;t make iconic gear like this anymore, so to see them how they left the factory, working as they should, would be a real treat. Thanks. Regards Urban Geeze ( U.k ).
It's nice to watch people who are eccentric as I am having fun while working. I too am a descendant of Mormon Pioneers on my mothers side with being raised and living the first 49 years of my life in Carbon County, Utah. 2006 we moved to Farmington, NM. I wish I was there with your team to dowse for gold and silver stashes around the supposed favorite cabin of Butch Cassidy. If there is more than a couple of gold coins or a couple of small nuggets buried four feet deep, dowsing with the modern ball bearing dowsing rod would definitely locate the exact center and decipher the depth buried. I wrote a book named The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition for teaching the world how to use physics with on ground dowsing using the modern ball bearing dowsing rod with the ability to use gravity as the gauge for deciphering the edges, exact center, depth buried, angle of deposition, and grading of the exact element that is used as the dowsing rod load. From dowsing buried water lines to tunnels or voids in the ground to precious metals to building your own modern ball bearing dowsing rod is taught in the book. Hope everyone has a nice day and thank you for reading this response.

Your You tube video are informative. Pre planning is the key for overall success. Using 15 minute maps when traveling off road are very useful. They are your best friend. In the old days we didn't have Amazon, Google earth, cell phones or Dell computers. Gas was 32.9 cents a gallon. Preparation is the same today as it was back then. Have alternate routes preplanned. When traveling off road always leave a written copy of your planned excursion and date of return with a family member or friend. Plan for the worst possible situation. You will have a better chance of making it back home. You don't want to be out of gas, no food and lost with no hope of rescue. Depend on yourself. Know your personal and vehicle limits. Don't be foolish off road.

If we could all appreciate friendship and family as they do.....
As well as courage to take chances
@@davidloftus3152 i think all we have to do is realize what we have with our friends cause we never realize it till it’s to late do you know what i mean but you are absolutely right sir
@@devindunlap0494 after leaving social media I found out extremely fast who are lifetime friends who I consider family.
Thank you sir
Love watching these recoveries. An episode covering restoration of each machine would be great too.
Seems like the last 7 or 8 replys have said the same thing like its the same person with 8 accounts
I would like to see a series on restoring them, would be cool to see them come back to life
Love to see you guys restore these machines give them the love they deserve
Nice to see the old turbo oven trick is still being used. Back when I was truckin' for a living, we also used the windshield and/or defrost to cook things quite frequently. Also knew a guy that rigged up an insulated aluminum box with a hatch attached to the catwalk and the exhaust stack. Part of it was wrapped around the stack, and it did a surprisingly good job of harnessing the heat and using it. As for restore vs sell, if it were me, I'd keep that old beast for sure. Even if you're not gonna keep it forever, I'd love to see it restored and even customized.
Retrieving that old equipment is awesome! So much life left them . Keep it up 👍
I would definitely like to see a few episodes of restoration on the machinery you recover.
You took the words right out of my mouth
Hans is the bomb 💣. He’s quick with the wit and has some one liners that makes my day. He can say stuff to HEAVYD and DIESEL DAVE and it’s no big deal. He doesn’t mean it mean spirited, he just likes to make them laugh. Love his sense of humor.
Personaly I can't stand that guy. He's worst than diesle dave..
@@kevinjohnston1957 that’s the beauty, of our opinions. Thy both suck in each other eyes. Cause I don’t care about yours and you don’t care about mine. 😂😂😂
Love to see you guys recover and restore some of this older stuff. Gives a good show of what your shop can do.
I’m late to the party on this video, but I would definitely love to watch restoration videos of your older equipment that you’ve recovered! Awesome job and beautiful scenery!
Loved this episode, history of Butch Cassidy added some depth . Love what you guys do and glad to see you changing and adapting and keeping the material fresh and original . I think you should show all sides restore ,flip, and auction . Not many people realize what goes into a business, let alone to keep changing and diversifying with times and changes that 20/21 have brought. Your a real inspiration to small business owners and the Truck / Diesel Community .
Restoration is the way to go brother . There's way too many old plant that is still good but as it's old they get scrapped . I'd happily watch a series of you guys restoring old vehicles. Great video as always .
Restoration with the history of the machine would be cool. Then if after, sell it or use it on some future recoveries or something. Always fun watching these old machines get a new life
It's a great machine. I would LOVE to see a restoration series on it. Keep making great videos. Love the channel!
Hi, I’m Julie from the uk, I love watching you guys do your thing, you all work well together, I also love seeing your part of the world it’s beautiful, love the story of you and Dave so glad he was ok and I believe in Guardian angels, big hugs from the uk xxx
love to see old machines rescued & restored & given new life
Come on Dave and crew fix some of these up to many end machines are gone by the way side. Maybe even open a museum to old dirt equipment.
i like to see the old iron recovered, i grew up on old equipment like that and it takes a real operator to work them. I also have a couple of fuel pick up tubes rolling around in my tanks.
My dad used to own 18 wheelers. How I miss those days. I just found this page and have been enjoying watching you guys. You work so great together. I think I would like to see you restore the loader. What great find. Stay safe and keep on doing what you do.
I would absolutely watch a series on the restoration of the heavy equipment you've recovered. Great job, keep it up!
Ya'll should have a CB even handheld in each truck in your convoy. Makes it easier for us truckers to alert you to issues and get info on back ups or road hazards. If ya need a lady trucker to help out lemme know. Ya'll do an awesome job with a big heart.
100% yes on seeing these older machines restored! Between the history of the machines and your recovery I would definitely watch the restoration.
sitting here thinking and to be honest heavy D is the sort of guy you want in your phone log he could actually get you out of any problem 100%
My friends and family all know that's a fact
@@HeavyDSparks lol let me be ur friend 😂
Keep it up mate
@@HeavyDSparks Respect bro, that's what family does man.
It shows you were brought up with respect and even one Hell of a great boss 👏
Video style and footage has dramatically improved since the beginning. I’d watch the restoration on some equipment. Never know when the information would come handy down the road.

I have to say I loved everything about this video, but that song you play at 37:17 is the jam. Just a perfect song for moving that tractor after all those years. The song is awesome! You guys are awesome too!
It's really fun watching heavy equipment getting restored, so if you can make a few episodes per machine that'd be awesome
My wife’s father could run stuff like that. I watched him run a machine once that was like he was reaching out with his arm and hand and moving dirt. It was so smooth...
Restore old iron - made to last and with y’all “skills to pay the bills “ should be a breeze. Killer country and video
Great job guys! I love seeing you revive the old stuff like you do. This has to be one of the easiest recoveries I have seen you do.
I would be very interested in watching any machine rebuilding. Absolutely love your show. The brotherhood of the “crew” is powerful stuff!!!
I swore you said something about a 'Wash machine' build at first lmao
Heavy D still caring about what we want to watch. After all these tv years look at what has accomplished!
I don't know man the new camera guy is getting some pretty sweet shots. This channel is slowly but surely getting better every time I watch it quality-wise the content is always fire tho. I'm saying quality-wise cinematography wise it's getting better. Like a damn movie nice job team Sparks
I just love watching a hard working man(men) do what he (they) enjoy(s)! God bless y’all ❤️ I think you should restore it!
Impressed with you and your crew's knowledge in getting these machines started after setting for so many years. Great job !!

Ok boys, as a Truck driver myself for 17 years OTR all of it. Mad respect. Truly impressed. Great job.
My dad was a WW2 combat veteran in Europe. He told stories about cooking food on the manifold of the deuce and a half used to tow the anti-aircraft gun.
Ha, none of that was a lie. Cooked many a ration on the engine, lurp rations cooked best.
ZZ Top did it too..
You don’t need to watch any of these videos before giving them a thumbs up - they are that good every time!
Couldn't agree more brotha, every video is st8 flames 🔥🔥
Agreed

I would like to see a series on restoring them, would be cool to see them come back to life
You need to restore it. It is a blessing to get this. Enjoy it! After setting up so many years It is it's time to shine. You just gave it new life. Enjoy it for awhile.
your boy has some mad editing skills, I will give him that. videography skills are on point.
So amazing to see Butch Cassidy's cabin the scenery is beautiful I am amazed at how everyone can fix old machinery and trucks. Really enjoyed watching.
OMG, I grew up around these old machines, so many of them end up scrapped and it is heartbreaking. I would love to see you restore this one and find a use for it. BTW, we are related in some way as my Mom was a Sparks, I haven't figured out where we tie in together. I will work on that while you keep rescuing these beautiful old machines.
You guys are just brilliant at what you do…can turn your hands to anything, repair anything, and great cameraderie together…just love watching you all. Stay safe! Good luck in all you do! And yes! Restore these machines , they deserve it after all they give. Best wishes from U.K. ! 🙋♀️😘💕👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤞🤞🤞,
this was one of the most satisfying videos I have watched in a very long time. I felt at peace and extremely pleased after seeing you guys get the job done. having fought with an old dozer and much equipment out in the field I must say kudos guys!!
He did really good job of editing
It’d be cool to see those machines brought back into their prime and fully functional
I really enjoy watching the recovery of these old machines, but I'd also enjoy seeing them restored to working condition.
I would love to see y'all restore them old classics .. they are the foundation of the new era
You should totally restore it. I would love to watch a couple episodes about the restoration.
Don't normally watch a 45 min. RUclips video, but you guys put out good content.
Definitely restore so we can learn about diesel engines/hydraulics.
just watched your recovery, I am a old cat mechanic in Australia and they call that type of loader a traxcavator cheers, love your try axle tractor trailer (or prime mover as we would call them)
Drone shots were sweet in this video! Restore some of those old timers!
I’d love to see it be restored and used on some projects as well if you sell it to another enthusiast, preserving equipment cars trucks and so forth is a essential part of the earth stewardship. I love your videos and your crew! Wish I had friends like you guys!
