    Thoughts on this episode?

Ben Daniels, the actor portraying Santiago, is doing a fantastic job. Santiago is a very interesting vampire in the books. He's a complicated cat, so to speak. Lol

Episode 1 was good but the second was awful, the theater vampires are suppose to be decadent yet they look like they just walked out of hot topics. Also they are vampires why would they be taking pictures and riding motorcycles ? It’s very Kitsch, I don’t remember those details in the book. Disney does vampires.

Again while this is very different from the book I love how they have updated this storyline in particular. The Theatre of the Vampires is such an important story in the book and they have executed it beautifully. I can't wait for more Lestat! Loving your reactions!

So, as both a theater kid growing up and have been a student of Anne Rice's sense 2008, i can guarantee you that the real moral of this season is that vampires and theater kids are one in the same.

Spoken like a true gothic Thespian. That scene where they all shout "Fuck Off" in bonded unison after being graciously introduced is spot on. Theatre troupes are always a team of snarky egocentric misfits.

This whole story of Daniel and Alice, seems very suspicious, especially with Armand appearing in Daniel’s memories and soon after him saying that the reason Alice said no, was because “she” did not trust him, like??? Armand, were you Alice?

You should probably remove this comment in case it is actually correct and is a major spoiler and ruins the surprise for everyone
Like this is such a twist that I wouldn't just post this anywhere just in case it's right because it's too good

@@Nicholas_is_my_nameWell... I didn’t read the books, I’m doing a theory based on the scene, Armand’s looks and how they answered something so intimate about Daniel that he doesn’t even remember

Could this be them coaxing Daniel's own diary out of himself with his own interview ?

Louis and Armand have got me! Like I was giggling and blushing with them, I loved this episode so much.
Also us getting to see the dark side of Louis that relished in Daniel’s suffering while Armand is the one who made him stop hurting the man he has been trading sassy blows with since the interview started was so good.
Loumand have stayed together for 77 years because they are more similar than Louis initially pretends they aren’t

This episode was amazing! They put alot in it but imo they balanced it very well. It felt like 10 mins watching it...the theater des vampires is very sinister

The Theatre de Vampire is really rubbing their audiences nose in it. The whole thing is a mockery of humanities morbid curiosity with violence and apathy toward suffering. When Santiago has the woman pick someone out of the audience to die in her place, and tells the man to remember that the next time he goes to church and talks with a fellow church goer, that the average human will give you up to be slaughtered in a second. The audience thinks they are being entertained and are in on the joke, but they are having a mirror held up to them while the vampires feed.
