@@MedlifeCrisis The real "Olympian" Dr Mike is Dr Mike Israetel (all over RUclips, but doesn't seem to have his own channel) and you forgot Barbell Medicine. I'd love someone (on top of Drs Barraki and Fiegenbaum) to delve into the disconnect between what most GPs and surgeons know of strength training and what they recommend, what they know of the bio-psycho-social model of pain, etc. There is so much room for real improvements to people's care and lives.

It makes me really happy to see that there's such diversity in the medical community on YT. Gives great sources for education in various aspects - not only the ER, and hopefully also gives a more veried perspective of what a doctor is and does (and that not everyone bites)
Sorry to miss your channel, I can see you've just started and got some great stuff already. Indeed I was thinking that as I was editing, that it's a pretty diverse list which is great. Actually a stark contrast to educational youtube overall. At Educon I was one of the few non-white people there, and I don't even have that much melanin!

Chubby Emu was the first medical channel I discovered and have waited breathlessly for each episode even though sometimes it is a long frustrating wait. As a retired Xray tech I can follow most of his stuff but the chemistry, which is something I didn't have to study for radiology, is absolutely fascinating although I sometimes have to watch it several times to get the whole picture clear in my (weak) mind. This video of yours is a disaster in the making. I can see months of compulsive watching already lining up and I am despairing of seeing it all, but I'm going to charge in on some of the specialists you mentioned that are of particular interest to me. By the way, you mentioned the doctors' names so fast at the beginning of each recommendation that I had to keep re-winding to get them because I simply can't write that fast. Ok, stretch fingers, get a fresh coffee, (its 1 am), read the first name on my list and dive in.

Thanks for "curating" the YT offerings. Was aware of only a small number of them. Paused your descriptions to watch a little plastic surgery. I had watched several operations and some ER work by physicians other than those you mentioned and thought their work deficient to say the least. But now I have a new and undoubtedly much better group from which to choose. Of course, I'll no longer be making snide remarks about malpractice, etc., but life is full of sacrifices.

Your compilation is VERY thorough. I also LOVE ChubbyEmu's videos. Just as you said, his videos are so intensely comprehensive and I've learned a tremendous amount from him, as well as I've learned a lot from you. There are many of these YT'ers you mentioned that I do watch on a regular basis; at least ten of them. As usual, this video is of very good quality and I enjoy all of your content. P.S. I also know just how horrid skin can be. I've had around 25 Interocutaneous Fistulaes because of malnutrition after a major operation. I'm now on operation number 31 because of all the complications of Crohn's Disease. Skin is just too fragile and can manifest some EXTREMELY horrible things. I've also been diagnosed with Pyoderma and that has been horribly difficult to cope with and one of the absolute worst diseases I've experienced.

@@kyle53081 I once had a patient (I'm a volunteer paramedic, still learning a lot) and I didn't know what extrasystoles are and I was like "Whoa" when I saw it on the monitor, went to my supervisor and even he got freaked because they were pretty frequent and the nurse was like "Oh that's fine" and I could feel myself deflate like a balloon.
I came across some great educational content like khan academy and moeba sisters while I was studying for my exams to become a biology student few months ago. I'd love someone (on top of Drs Barraki and Fiegenbaum) to delve into the disconnect between what most GPs and surgeons know of strength training and what they recommend, what they know of the bio-psycho-social model of pain, etc. There is so much room for real improvements to people's care and lives.

It's been brought to my attention that Podmikroskopem (the Polish channel I showed) is a charlatan who has said some bizarre things like birth control causing autism.
People have also complained about several of the nutrition channels, but I would go further and say the whole of nutrition science is trash. It ranked the lowest out of all medical areas of research in a recent analysis. It's mostly garbage.
The channel sci show shows more random medical videos than some of the RUclipsrs you mentioned.

Sorry to miss your channel, I can see you've just started and got some great stuff already. Indeed I was thinking that as I was editing, that it's a pretty diverse list which is great. Actually a stark contrast to educational youtube overall. At Educon I was one of the few non-white people there, and I don't even have that much melanin!

Chubby Emu was the first medical channel I discovered and have waited breathlessly for each episode even though sometimes it is a long frustrating wait. As a retired Xray tech I can follow most of his stuff but the chemistry, which is something I didn't have to study for radiology, is absolutely fascinating although I sometimes have to watch it several times to get the whole picture clear in my (weak) mind. This video of yours is a disaster in the making. I can see months of compulsive watching already lining up and I am despairing of seeing it all, but I'm going to charge in on some of the specialists you mentioned that are of particular interest to me. By the way, you mentioned the doctors' names so fast at the beginning of each recommendation that I had to keep re-winding to get them because I simply can't write that fast. Ok, stretch fingers, get a fresh coffee, (its 1 am), read the first name on my list and dive in.

Thanks for "curating" the YT offerings. Was aware of only a small number of them. Paused your descriptions to watch a little plastic surgery. I had watched several operations and some ER work by physicians other than those you mentioned and thought their work deficient to say the least. @@onechippyboi Dark/cynical sense of humour would be a prerequisite, I think, for the reasons mentioned. And you'd soon develop it as a coping mechanism if you didn't already have it. It's also a prereq for life itself, unless you're somehow blissfully ignorant of the human condition. Very occasionally I meet someone who is just sparklingly happy, like their psyche has never been wounded by a single misfortune, and I can't help thinking, "Wtf is wrong with you?!" lol.

Your compilation is VERY thorough. I also LOVE ChubbyEmu's videos. Just as you said, his videos are so intensely comprehensive and I've learned a tremendous amount from him, as well as I've learned a lot from you.
There are many of these YT'ers you mentioned that I do watch on a regular basis; at least ten of them. As usual, this video is of very good quality and I enjoy all of your content.
P.S. I also know just how horrid skin can be. I've had around 25 Interocutaneous Fistulaes because of malnutrition after a major operation. I'm now on operation number 31 because of all the complications of Crohn's Disease. Skin is just too fragile and can manifest some EXTREMELY horrible things. I've also been diagnosed with Pyoderma and that has been horribly difficult to cope with and one of the absolute worst diseases I've experienced.

@@kyle53081 I once had a patient (I'm a volunteer paramedic, still learning a lot) and I didn't know what extrasystoles are and I was like "Whoa" when I saw it on the monitor, went to my supervisor and even he got freaked because they were pretty frequent and the nurse was like "Oh that's fine" and I could feel myself deflate like a balloon.
I came across some great educational content like khan academy and moeba sisters while I was studying for my exams to become a biology student few months ago. I’m so thankful to them (I passed the exams)! Since then I discovered a lot of the big medical RUclipsrs. Chubbyemu is Zeus indeed! But you are Poseidon and Dionysus combined! I enjoy your videos a lot!
