The normal version of this song is completely different. It has that explosion of drums and guitars you were expecting. Anytime you see "Unfinished" next to a Babymetal song, this is what you get. A stripped down version with the focus on Su's vocals.
@@JoJoLewis The regular, well both versions are my favorite Babymetal songs. Su is amazing and always gives me the feels on both versions of this. The dueling guitars in the standard version are mind blowing. Glad you are enjoying your journey down the foxhole! 🦊
Lots of metal singers have got range and power (Tarja or Floor), but Su's one of the few singers I know that can be that expressive of emotions in her singing. From her facial expressions, the pained smile, to how she's singing with slight hesitation like she's choked up with emotion.... And from a 16yr old girl.... just perfect. You should see No Rain No Rainbow from Legend S, to see what a mature 20yr old Su can do.... 🤘🦊🤘

You are totally correct Herbert Chak. There are only 2 singers in this day and age that I know of that shows the emotion, class, and control, but can also put forth the intensity and power when it is needed. Su is one, Morissette Amon is the other. These two ladies are in a class of their own. It would be a dream of mine if they ever met and coached each other! If you have never heard or listened to Morissette, I highly recommend giving her a listen. If you want pure emotion, I recommend will you be Messiah. If you want power, I would recommend Never Enough, Rise Up, and/or Akin Ka Na Lang.
and to think this song was right after headbanger. when she does the gong and falls down is where this song starts. and the next song was death. many grown men have shed a tear with this song. you can feel how the emotion comes thru. amazingly it is coming from a 16 year old girl. we, the One, dont call her Queen for nothing.
⚡ / 🔴 🌙 The heavier version of 'Akatsuki' had already been performed many times before they did this "Unfinished version" for Su's 16th birthday at the 'Legend 1997' concert. Interestingly, the "Unfinished version" omits the last two lines of the song, "Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson!". I think that Su's acting talents are severely underrated. She has mentioned in interviews that she will often select a specific part of a song for special emotional emphasis. In this case, it looks like she decided to apply that to the whole damn song.
Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I teared up when I listened to this song for the first time and still do. I had never imagined that I would be taught by a 16-year-old girl (as of Dec. 2013) a sorrow or heartbreaking emotion which is occasionally incidental to love or loss of it. Our souls are cleansed or purified by Su's voice. I witnessed Akatsuki performed live on Feb.19 at Budokan last year with Su's matured voice. It was partially unfinished version. I can't explain how beautiful it was with my vocabulary.
Thank you for the reaction to this wonderful performance. As for me, who doesn't shed tears when watching this version of akatsuki, either doesn't know anything about music, or an insensitive person. You earned yourself a new subscriber. This performance no matter what makes me tear up and cry every single time. Especially when she drops down again is such an incredible moment. Su was able to deliver so many emotions with this song at that young age (she only turned 16 the day before) it is simply unbelievable….
As I said in my other comment check out the “finished” version of “Akatsuki” from the Budokan show in 2014 to see what that song looked like (even tho I prefer the unfinished version any day xd).
