@@jetgnome Do some research to see if they have any random map making software out there. Someone likely already made it. I have found many websites that make random worlds and towns for RPGs.
You can put a real map in the editor then adjust it and draw with basic hexes. Next you go to "Land Tiles" and hit "Fill" and it will fill it. I find this way is easier than a straight map import where you have to modify everything. It's easy to draw basic hexes. It's harder to edit what has been done. This way you can make small adjustments as you paint. This way if you Import a European map it doesn't look like a blob. You also don't have to worry about matching the pixels per km to match the editor.
This is impressive, can the maps be exported outside the game as an image?
They can't. I also couldn't make a pretty enough image to do so.
