Astonishing that this 14 year old can play with the maturity of pianists three times his age. He exceeds even some legendary pianists. His sensitive delicate timing and touch are simply out of this world.

Alexander Malofeev will be one of the greatest pianists of the 21st Century - I am sure of it.
To have accomplished so much at such a young age is extraordinary. But to bring to each performance such absolute mastery, stability, maturity, self-assurance and exquisite musicianship makes him unique. He is always 'at one' with the music and feels the beauty of the work with deep emotion, expressing its humanity to perfection. A prince among musicians.

I watch this, I hear it . . . but . . . in a strange way I don't believe anyone would be capable of turning in such a great performance. It does, however, make me quite grateful for Alexander Malofeev's continuing presence in the world. Even here, at a very early age indeed, his performance abilities are far beyond extraordinary. I wish him every continued success.

Just unbelievable to me that someone this young could perform this incredibly difficult piece of music. He's a gift from above in my humble opinion. Thank you for sharing your talent with us Alexander. You bless us greatly!

I know nothing about music. I don't know why I'm so 'absorbed' and my mind is let go by the music played by Alexander in the U tubes. I started to search on each and every performances he has uploaded there and listened until the last tune he played, which I'll never do to other performers.

I am sitting here shaking my head because I am so blown away by this performance. I heard his other public performance of this where the piano was rather out-of-tune! This performance is slightly more polished and reserved - for dvd obviously but still nothing short of miraculous by any standards but played by a teenager???? I really have no words to express how wonderful this young pianist is. I look forward to hearing many more performances but, yes, I do wonder if he needs to pace himself? He plays from the inside and perhaps he simply needs to play a great deal?

Please, never give up practicing and playing. You already accomplished a very professional and international level. You should have in mind that talent is not mesured by the number of views you have on RUclips. I know that your talent comes from an extreme amount of hard work. You are just starting live. A very hard thing is to keep on growing and improving. Have you tried writing your own music. Perhaps musical compostion may open your talent to new dimensions.

Obviously a superhuman talent. Perhaps he should consider taking a break from public performance for a few years - as did the great Josef Hofmann in his youth - as a shield against early burnout. Look at the sad example of Dimitris Sgouros; who, at 13, looked as if he would set the world afire ....and virtually disappeared. I am consumed with envy over Xander's talent, and look forward to decades of feeling miserably inferior.

Please don't dismiss this skill as talent.. I mean I get that it's meant as a compliment but that is just dismissing the probably multiple thousands of hours he sank into dedicated study.. Whenever people say stuff like "That's so much talent" or such I always think that yes it's meant nice, but if you study for literally your whole life and then someone puts it off as talent that's not really fair..
Talent only gets you only so far. After a while its all just pure dedication to practice and study.
