Alot of Enhancement players find the Elementalist rotation to be a bit difficult so i'm trying to make it more approachable!

Yeah I'm bummed Blizz didn't make it viable. It would have been easy if they made some talents 1 point talents instead on the Storm side.

LOVE YOUR CONTENT... but really, I love your builds, you inspired me to play Enchancement. started out and played Season 2 with Storm, and kinda fell in love. Now, im trying to learn the rotation of Elementalist - its really not that much harder, but love to get more insight into this a bit more christmas tree of a hotbar :P

frost shock is a strong ability do not dismiss it after you spend your mealstorm it buffs frost shock on its onw making ita high damage skill at that point and it has to be used
This made me go, oh Enhancement isn't so complex just lots of buttons. I like pressing buttons!

I like how it enhance they not only gave it the biggest headache of a rotation in the game but also stacked them with an ungodly amount of CC with sundering, thunderstorm, cap totem, and totemic recall so you can cap totem again. A gaming mouse is pretty well a must with this spec.
Which are the best part of tier set?
Little late to the Party, but I got a question, concerning spenders, wouldnt lightning Bolt in aoe be better than Chainlightning, when its used after primordial wave (of course after spreading Flameshock amongst the targets)?
I need AOE help my aoe is shit compared to other dps I run with. I'm ilvl 479 and my aoe pulls usually look like 230-270k max while others push way more.
This is such a noob question, but how am I spreading Frost Shock? It spreads in combat and Idk why.

Trying to get into the spec (Lv.28 currently) as I have always loved the concept of enhancement Shaman but I feel overwhelmed not by the rotation, but also the number of key binds. Just seems like a lot to go on the bars. I don't want some 2-3 button spec either so I dunno, maybe it's just a me thing or maybe I need better bindings. I would be open to any tips or binding setups that anyone recommends, and thanks advance for any advice you can give.
Thank-you for your guides though, they made me what to get into this spec recently and try to apply myself at a spec I have never really played before.
What keybinds are you using now?
Currently I use: 1, 2, 3, 4, Shift-F, Shift-Space, E, R, F, Shift-E, Q and Shift-R. These are just some that I was recommended by someone years ago (I want to say around Cata?) and they just grew on me. I'm always open to feedback and appreciate your input.

I'm trying out your Main build but WF totem is not available with it? Should a point be taken from Lashing Flames and spent on WF? Having Lashing Flames seems redundant as Lava Lash adds 20% to Flame Shock anyway
Is Ele still better overall over Storm? I hate PWave btw, too clunky imo. Storm was also more fun than Ele IMO.
Swear by your guides, but I've been playing an alt recently. Just tried to copy paste this build but getting an error message that it's out of date. Have you updated it anywhere?

What is best for PVP right now, Elmentalist or Storm?
Recently returned to the game. Have they completely destroyed stormstrike/windfury builds? Seems like everyone is running this clunky swamp ass lashing flames build.
Storm is still viable, it’s just that the current tier set bonuses improve this kind of build/rotation. I personally run storm for single target no matter what because it’s just more fun. You can still be middle to top middle of the damage charts.

Also thanks for mentioning the Rotation addon - "Hekili" in your previous vid, it helps a lot getting into elementalist build and its wack ass buff/prio system. Ive been playing Enhance since 2004 and Elementalist is big brain. Thanks for this video so much! Currently pushing +19s and Im lagging behind in damage, badly need the new 4 set.
i played shaman for years but i swear i cant handle this rotation ! i instaled hekili i dont have time to press the spells it shows cuz it changes to something alse :))
It for sure takes a bit (along time) to get used to the new "rotation" I personally love that part of it, keeps you guessing!!
But you do eventually get to a point where alot of it becomes a habit.
Hi Stankie! I have a bit pro questions about rotation so what do you think. Imagine having hot hand active so rotation goes through each second gcd but you have also 10 stacks of MW, what is better to prioritize? Spending immediately and ignoring second gcd for lava lash or keeping hot hand rotation despite overlapping MW on full stacks?
My experience from AoE so far is that ignoring active hot hand to smoothly finish hailstorm combo after spending MW does more dmg than keeping hot hand properly during it thus finishing hailstorm combo bit later due to each-second-gcd rule so maybe insisting on hot hand is efficient only when focusing on key target to kill ASAP, what do you think?
Regarding opener as such, it changed a bit with 4set this season so I think we both agree on using PW and then wolfies because it is more effective than vice versa? (wolfies reduce PW cd from 45 to 24 sec while PW reduces wolfies cd from 1.5 min to 1.3 min but Witch doctor talent can make it shorter and shorter)
And rergarding AoE opener, I think that Crash Lightning must be a part of opener because we can make also Laval Lash and Ice Strike AoE during opening rotation but maybe I am wrong and you can tell me why?

Heya! The TLDR answer is, it's not a huge diff if your next global is a spender or LL During hot hand but technically spending always takes prio since wasting maelstrom (being capped and still generating) is a big loss of dmg.
LL Also triggers flameshock on 5 targets (its initial burst hit) which alot of ppl don't think about, combined with crash lightning & well LL is a pretty damn good aoe.
Now as far as finishing a hailstorm combo before LL according to sims LL is the winner BUT you have to consider fight lenght.
In keys, if a pack dies fast doing a spender into frostshock (assuming you've pressed icestrike before at some point) will be burstier. On a pack that takes along time to kill, weaving your LL will win due to everything LL does, generates MSW proccs crash lightning which generates maelstrom and debuffs them with lashing flames.
Flameshock dmg on a pack if you've debuffed em with lashing & they live long enough is nuts.
For the opener PW - wolfs, Mid pull it doesn't matter greatly unless you're trying to time your wolfs for a mechanic like adds spawning.
For the aoe opener it's simply a matter of what you get global for global.
Getting PW - wolfs - LL - LB out is the most important part as it per global is worth alot more for a nr of reasons.
one being, if you've pressed PW you get 10 MSW so any MSW generated is wasted lowering the value of most things like crash lightning.

@@StankieGaming Lovely! I didnt realize that crash lightning would generate extra MSW I might not spend effectively so it definitely goes as the first spell after completing opener in AOE. I also didn't know about spreading also initial hit by LL (thx for telling me!).
So keeping hot hand rotation during AOE always except short fights or ends of fights (bcz burst). Wolfies/PW order matters only in opener (but I somehow feel, that if I use PW first, Wolfies cd refresh gets aligned with every next PW through witch doctor talent and that is super satisfying), to be used according to situation if needed (adds spawning etc). And big no for crash lightning during opener.

I use aefnars shaman weakaura, idk if it's what he is using but it's very similar and helps a ton.

The guide implies having WF for a filler and making melee happy. However the buiilds don't spec into it.
It's more of a IF you play WF you use it as a filler, and yes this build does use WF totem but only for raid which is why it's part of the video!
@@StankieGaming What is the swap in the builds to pick up WF?
I just bind totemic projection to a skill I use often so WF totem just follows me every 10 secs. I always forget to lay WF totem down in raid.
Stankie is there any chance to play storm build this season pls? I love that spec and not going over +20 so is it that big of the difference ? I know tha tier is prob. The diff maker but if i add prim.wave to storm build ?
Heya! you can still play storm builds with the new 4set however it does fall a bit short when compared to elementalist.
That being said it's perfectly fine to play in both keys & raids however i wouldn't play it in +20 keys or mythic raid.
Plan to make a guide for 'em aswell as soon as i have time!

Why? Enhance is already one of the best designed specs in the game. If you want simplicity, play a BM hunter.

Can you cleave frost shocks in wotlk? Can you cleave empowered lightning bolts in wotlk? Can you enter splintered elements windows in wotlk? Can you drop 4 aoe stops in wotlk? The list goes on.
Retail enhance feels 1000x better.
I'm confused. There's Elemental Shaman and Enhancement shaman. What is Enhancement elementalist?
