Min max for Enhancement was really weird for WotLK. Was all about using as few maelstrom stacks as you could to cast between swing timers without clipping them. Was kind of like jank difficulty, at least this seems more intended.

Yea enh has gotten a tad more complex over the years! But there's currently 2 types of build Storm & Elementalist. Storm builds are alot easier then elementalist builds but does a bit less DPS (which really doesn't matter untill you push high end content)
as a non preorder rebel ive been spending my time on dummies. Alot. And this version is easier than storm imo once you learn the buttons and prio. It flows much better and less volatile. Storm feels more feast or famine where you are either in fury warrior spam mode with dre proccing back to back or you're chasing the next high. Storm also have a tendency to make you feel like you're wasting procs when doing maintenance globals - and with both needing to tab target I really think that unless you are a storm chaser enjoyer that you should just learn this version. Both is good craic tho so can't really loose

yea I agree, the DF rotation was so satisfying, it was almost perfectly lined up, the 10 maelstrom and haste boost from Primordial Wave felt so goood. Now it's just chaotic like storm build... I have some struggle to enjoy this rotation, maybe with time I'll like it...

I was wondering if, as a pro enhance player, you ever tested out the addon Hekili? If so, how accurate is it to an actual rotation? I've tried to learn a rotation from it but it seems to suggest random abilities all the time. There's no pattern to it. Thanks for the guide!

ele probably initially is more fun because of bigger numbers (subject to balance of course) but imo the current storm build for it is turbo boring as it’s just spamming lb/cl and dumping maelstrom
Due to stormbringer hero talents you really want static accum & thorims since stormbringer proccs tempest (the big nuke) from CL LB & Stormstrike (aswell as spending maelstrom) So going primal & splintered results in fewer spenders overall which means fewer tempest! TLDR It works but is slightly worse.
I hate Ascendance, it's so weird, firsly 3min CD is awful and more awful than that is that windstrike have that weird cooldown where I never know if I just spam windstrike or use another spell in between but lose some windstrike.
How important is it to play around Pwaved enhanced tempest? Should I hold onto tempest if Pwave is coming up soon? Also should I hold onto Pwave/LB if I'm almost ready to tempest?
Do you deal this 3 mil dps currently on dummies in expansion? I seem to have understood the rotation and priorities but I am still not able to get near as much damage out
Lava burst should not be used since it does not synergize with the rest of the build, only Lightning bolt & chain lightning refunds maelstrom & gets DMG increases.
The new build is all about building up and spending maelstrom to get tempests out. LB has a chance for a full refund and a chance for a 3 mael refund so it has more value in the rotation even if the dmg is slightly lower. Iirc some ppl are theorycrafting some elemental blast stuff for single target but lavaburst is pretty much dead for now. Cant complain about a freed up keybind tho!

Enhance has been nerfed as of today, Tempest reduced damage beyond 5, and a flat 4% damage reduction from all spells.
