Exactly! When seeing them in store the difference was minimal in terms of picture quality and since I don't have multiple gaming systems, I went with the B2.
I bought a 65 inch B2 this week (our first OLED) largely thanks to your review here! I didn’t change many settings, out of the box, and remain astonished with the B2’s picture. I spent many days researching TVs on RUclips and reviews of professionals. Hundreds of user reviews are very positive. Best Buy was having sales and I was able to get a 65 inch B2 instead of more costly 55 inch from other manufacturers. Thanks again for your review. A great purchase!
I have a 42” C2 as a computer monitor and recently bought a 65” B2. To my eyes, it’s incredibly difficult to tell the difference between both images. They both look so damn
Exactly! This is why I think the B2 is the better option for most people. The differences are not really noticeable unless you have them right next to one another and you start pixel peeping
If you game, set it as a PC input and make sure to turn Hgig on, you don’t want to tv up scaling games bc your ps5 already does that. Check HDTVtest for step by step. Make sure when agitating HDR that the icon and screen are the same when hitting ok, you shouldn’t “barely” see it. And set the blacks as black as it will get in HDR setup
Hardly anybody makes videos on the B series LG, and it's stupid. I got a 55" B2 using my Best Buy CC for $996. I bought it in December 2022 shortly after the price dropped. Everybody is sleeping on this TV and it's going to be the reason we lose this amazing line of HDTVs. Thanks for the video showing off this beautiful unit.
Thanks! I totally agree, this TV is just too good and at a great entry price for everyone, especially for those of us that are barely getting into the OLED TVs!
@@marodonthemorone I am going to have to say that they are very similar. Go for the B2 if you don't mind 2 120Hz and want newer processor. Go for the C1 if you need a brighter display and 4 120Hz HDMI ports
Just purchased the 55 inch b2 from Costco. Thanks for the review. I was just told by Costco that it won't arrive until Monday, which sucks because i wanted to mega game this weekend with a slick new display. Oh well
If G2, C2, B2 are all dialed to the exactly same brightness, I seriously doubt they differ at all. I bought my 65” B2 a just $1045 brand new, the best purchase ever for a Tv!
Great video! I always wondered why this was on sale in certain retailer stores near me for only $999 for the 55 inch and I noticed, only 2 downsides. The sound is kind of low at 20 Watts speakers and the nits of the brightness is pretty low at 600. Which isn't an issue in dark rooms but if it's in a bright room with sun or glare against it then yeah, its a little dark. Picture quality looks amazing though! Thinking to get either this one, the C2, or the QN90B
Glad I could help! The brightness can definitely be low if you are in direct sunlight, but for me, even with the window being to one side of the TV, it gets plenty bright. I also definitely would recommend saving some money and buying a budget sound system which would be better than any of those TVs. I use the LG 5.1 V-Series and it's a great budget pick
Still enjoying your B2? No regrets can get it on sale right now for like 700+ less than a C2. Will use a telus box (essentially an android TV box) and my q990b sound bar. If that's generally all I will use to hook up to it, should be OK to just get the B2 right ?
I have this TV for almost two weeks, overall happy bit I have been getting ghosting issues specially with dolby vision content in dark or low light scenes as well as black looking gray in some scenes, no issue when connected to ps5 tho
That is weird with the ghosting. Have you updated the software on the TV? I have not seen ghosting on mine, but it could also be that I am not keen at seeing it
@@nerdgrafx I have updates it yes, maybe it's the content, for example the last of us in dolby vision from the TV app gets distracting sometimes due to that ghosting, but running from the app from ps5 in hdr doesn't show ghosting in the same scenes
Cinema mode or film-maker Modes work best for Dolby vision, it may be a setting somewhere that needs to change. I’m glad the B2 is finally getting some love
I'm really tempted by this TV ,my only concern is i watch a lot of news and i'm kind of worried about those almost permanent logos at the bottom of the screen for burn in , what do you think ? Thank you.
For me, I have had bad luck with a couple of OLED screens before, so I took the safe route and bought it through BestBuy with a 5 year warranty that covers burn in. I have heard that the TV's are supposed to be better, but I would rather be covered for those 5 years
Thank you! Yes the colors on this tv are very vivid. It is also compatible with Dolby Vision which is a great format to watch shows and movies on this tv
That is an awesome gift! It shouldn't be too large at that distance. I still about 9ft away from a 65 inch and the size already seems relatively small than it did when I first got it. Just make sure the height isn't too high and she should be fine.
Great video! Question for you, is the Samsung S90C 77” worth spending $500 more over the LG B3 77” which is priced at $1,799? My main uses are streaming content, sports and gaming on my PS5. My living room is not really that bright since I don’t get that much direct sunlight inside the house. Another option I am considering is the C3 65” @ $1,599. This would be my first OLED. Would greatly appreciate your advice.
Thanks! I honestly think the B3 is more than worth it, if you're only gaming on a PS5, you can use a 120hz port and still have one available. In terms of brightness, it gets bright enough for most rooms. After getting a 65" B2, I will say always go bigger if you can so the B3 77" will not disappoint
That frame skip stuff is bs and may just be a myth derived from how a camera works with shutter speed. If you film at 24fps and have a shutter speed of 1/50 there will be a couple missing frames in that footage since 24x2 = 48, but even then it's very hard to notice. Frame rate does not coorelate with refresh rate in the same way. They work independently from each other. A refresh rate is just how fast the monitor is capable of refreshing and how many frames it can display in a second. Think of it like a book cover only big enough to fit 24 pages inside = a 24hz monitor. A 60hz monitor is capable of holding 60 pages but the content inside only consists of 24 pages... if you flip through those pages it's still going to display 24fps. The size of the cover does not effect the pages inside, it only allows for more if needed.
Thanks for the explanation. I have never noticed it on any of my monitors but I have heard it being mentioned so I wanted to make sure I mentioned it to my viewers in case they also see that frame skip on their current screen
Hey man I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on this. I also have a Vizio sound bar and just a ps5. Does the sound bar block any remote input or block the pitcher? Thanks man.
Hey! Thank you for watching. The sound bar does not block any remote or signal. I use my Apple TV with the Apple TV being behind the soundbar and don't have any issues. I have also been able to use the OEM remote without any problems in my testing and setup
Exactly! Which is why I have no trouble recommending it, even now with the B3 out. The B2 still has those crisp colors and 2 120Hz for 2 gaming consoles if you don't have a sound system.
