I didn't discover the NOTE! It was thanks to Alexmax9295 and solariumm1 that i got a chance to hear it. This is simply a showcase. I'll make a range video pretty soon, so stay tuned!
Miley Cyrus is an amazing vocalist and apart from the occasional gossip column she's a great person. I really don't see the need to hate.
no, she has talent. I dont care if you're a lovatic or whatever, you dont have to blame Miley.
I know that you're a Lovatic, and maybe you don't like Miley. But just face it, she can sing. Some people may think her voice is a bit annoying to hear, but her voice is strong and her vocal range is wide. I mean, she's good at low notes which is not easy to sing AT ALL. And not everyone can hit a damn whistle note, even Adam Lambert can't (they said so but I think he can do that if he tries). If you need prove, see the video yourself!
@WestVoice I don't see how it's uncontrolled really... I'm not sure if you know this :P But Miley screams in almsot every song and I'm not talking about the occasional Bb6, they're mostly in the 7th octave. Of course, they're all very disconnected but this one is very different. You can even hear resonance.
@hessounusual95 Anybody can scream, I really don't think you can scream like that. However, that note was connected and it had some form of resonancy. When you hear a scream, you often hear short cracks which flutuate the sustained tone, giving it short peaks. This was a single note with a short raise in the end. Screams are basically disconnected and uncontrollable whistles. There were no cracks in this clip hence my assumptions. (disregarding modal voice).

It's AMAZING how her mouth was halfway down the mic stand when she "sang" that note. Feedback from a microphone.
Great stuff she hit another high note when she performed driveway in Berlin that note was also amazing.
A of you, don't say that maybe a little kid can but any of you can't even make a G6 so why are you insulting? She goes really high
@MisterKiwiAndApple Anything above a E6 is considered insid the whistle register. So any pitches above it (even if they are exclamations, you can "say" it's inside the whistle register and still get away with it) but the day a gurl screams without gutural sounds and in supported connected register I'll change my tune.
@kellyclarksonismygod the thing is that with high notes its harder to sing if your not stand up strait with good posture
@kellyclarksonismygod that video is a joke - starts with whispers ends with screaks. A note is supposed to be produced in a proper way to be considered sung. Otherwise burping would count as low notes.
@kellyclarksonismygod i don't know where this sound comes from but it's obviously not her voice judged by the other high notes she's hit so far.

People who have a rusty voice like her tend to do those noises, sounded nice. I like Miley's voice because of its roughness, I prefer it to Demi's I think.

Are we forgeting Miley has a vocal nodule? Meaning her chords can produce sounds like that because they are already squeezed. And Besides i never herd Mariah holding her f#7 that long

@kellyclarksonismygod actually this one was the best in her life since there are no screechy breaks like in the rest "notes she does". Too bad it happened by sheer luck. She has no control of the pitch that comes out.

@Fabiuguz I really don't think it's scream. Well, i'm almost certain that she went after a scream but that's weirdly connected.

@Teddyrockstheworld1 It's very rare for a male to be able to reach 7th octave notes much less a staccato G. Try practicing scales and the siren. Avoid screaming, that will damage your throat.

I don't think that was her. Cuz she was singing a completely different line from the song. And then there was a whistle, That was probably the crowd. But she is a talented singer.
taylor swift, selena gomez, demi lovato and some other artists csn't do that, I adore miley for that

@ksionc100 Umm, Perhaps that G#2 was of distasteful intention but most of the pitches are correct. There are a few wrong but meh that's not why i linked you to that video. I could care less about it. I was distracted by what she was doing to that poor mic stand.
How can I reach a G7 in a whistle voice, mostly, I don't get that high, or that much power for that matter. I'm a male, so I can't connect my whistle to go that high.
