The one pair this year for me will be the marriage between the first 2 brands of your video, the Benzak x Samurai collab. Really looking forward to that pair.
Great to hear! My jacket is starting to see some nice fades popping. Trouble is, as soon as I got it, the temp dropped so I had to break out my sheepskin. Looking forward to the slightly warmer weather to start rocking is again.
I just got samurai S500 Ax yesterday it feel itchy at first time i wore it and now it gonna feel better still not wash in water though cause it fit really good for me
Loving both these Japanese jeans, would be hard to pick one if I hadn't already bought 2 pre-worn pairs. Still very exited to get my hands on a all European blue steel. Benzak. Regarding black selvedge line, there is one in a very strange pair of Levi's that go along with a black leather patch and dome sort of black tar/ rubber like coating in the inside of the denim towards the hem and that cover the cuff. No idea what they are... If someone has an idea, I'd sure appreciate it.
The blue steel is a great denim! It has that very 70s Levi's vibe to it. I almost pulled the trigger a couple of years ago but I think I had about 3 BDDs at the time. Needed to branch out.
Wow! That's freaked me out! I've been watching your channel (and subscribed) for a while and have been working out where to jump in with my first investment in jeans. There's a lot to go through, with choices and as a 50+ buyer... the momotaro flagged pocket is hard to pull off! Thanks for the brilliant channel and I was only surprised that you have the same name as my father.. lol! If you ever want to open a jeans/boots, Tequila bar let me know! Sounds like a bit of a mens club!
Are green cast jeans only possible with natural indigo, and why is regular Japanese denim (for example the one levis use on their LMC line) better then regular denim?
For the greencast, no doesn't have to be natural. There are synthetic indigo jeans that have a green cast to them but this is just a mix of dyes and to be honest, it is a little obvious in the jeans I have seen. The natural indigo is a very subtle tone. As for Japanese denim being better. It isn't really, just proportionally the jeans coming out of Japan tend to be of a high standard and so there is a perception that it is better. There is incredible denim coming out of mills all over the globe.
Really like the look of these SDA’s, just unsure on that fit. All a bit Simon Cowell. I want some really slubby denim next to scratch that itch, are PBJ as thick and cumbersome as I have read and watched? I really do dig their denim. If so, where should I aim my focus otherwise?
Hmm, PBJ's are quite thick but if you get the right fit then you will be totally fine. The denim does take a little break in but you are well rewarded. Someone else asked me about a denim with a good slub to it and I pointed them to the Benzak Denim Developers Heavy Slub. Super nice jeans, great texture and great fit! benzakdenimdevelopers.com/collections/jeans/products/bdd-006-heavy-slub-16-oz-rht?ktk=UEdKczZRLTYxNjhiODQ2ZDk0&tap_a=23949-a716b9&tap_s=788040-80a7f5&variant=17623916740723

Me too cant wait just a month away
Absolutely! i can't wait to see a pair in person and see all the fades coming in from the comp!
That Fox-001 looks legit awesome. I love the TCB 50s cut for the butt but totally not sure for this one.
I have the Super fade B-03, my first Benzak pair and loving them so far. The quick fading is amazing!

Got my 2021 jeans about a week ago. Sugar Cane 1947s. Stoked about em. But those fox fibers looked really really good. I seriously considered those
Still, super good choice! And the best fit!
I just got samurai S500 Ax yesterday it feel itchy at first time i wore it and now it gonna feel better still not wash in water though cause it fit really good for me
You should wash them first. There is so much schit on there.
Samurai are definitely on my list of brands to try.. need to find a good tapered model though!
Hmm, I wonder if the BDD colab is still available somewhere. That would be a sick fit with that denim.
@@CeeAreDee stockist will get stock aswell in the Netherlands I know I pre-ordered a pair at my local shop

I love how he hesitates at 4:24
Haha. Pause for thought and dramatic effect .
Seen the recycled selvedge from Akka Denim? Mad fades.
Just picked up some unbranded ub101s. Was very tempted go for the 21oz, but shat it.
Yeah, the Akka guys do some really fun stuff.

Samurai has the best denim, details, arcuate designs and even amazing fits.
Yeah, they are really up there!
I have been eyeing at the PBJ SR-013's, they are extremely stubby and neppy!
They will make for some incredible fades. Tough one to break in tho! Good luck.

These look really nice tbf, a decent price too. I know you really rate Benzak as a brand, think I’ll take the plunge and cop these, cheers brother

new to raw denim, recommendations for a straight leg cut? Don't like it slim or skinny. Looking to spend 200-300

The SDA’s are great. Have been my favorite pair for awhile now
Yeah, I hope to do a deeper dive into the brand soon.

How do you rate Huit denim pal? Just got a pair and they are a nice fit.
The jeans are amazing and I love what David and his team are trying to do.
You forgot the momotaro hand woven jeans

Nice intro man!
