@@irongryphon Hi Guys of Iron Gryphon Studio, i have a simple question to ask you please. Can you tell me from who or where you get your XPS foam please. Thanks a lot.
I'm almost speechless ... These little details are very simple, but they have such a great effect. Especially the mummies, and the mummy that stands up is just so # & "#% cool, It simply lifts the Whole build way way up on the "bling bling" scale ... many thanks for showing and please keep up the good work.
I love how you made the arcosolia. They look a lot like the ones I saw in Italy. I’m going to have to steal the idea for when I make my Rumanian (Wallachian/Transylvanian) tombs.
The concept is really nice, and the details add a lot. Circular cuts in thick foam pieces, I guess it there is a good way to do them without a Proxxon. About chains, I prefer to add them at the end, without painting them. The ones I have, they have the exact old copper or steel color I like. I have been also playing with the idea of using pieces of cloth and PVA glue. Your simple touch of reaping the hanging border is perfect for the look. My general impression is that you did a good and interesting piece.
Thank you very much 🙂 yes A proxxon makes cutting foam in any shape alot easier 🙂 but it's possible to cut circles in foam without it. Thanks for watching 👍
Great build! Bound undead character was a very impactful image! Well done. First time your channel came up in my feed. See what else you've got! Take care.
Very cool and fun build. Thank you for sharing. If these are above ground they would be tombs in a community mausoleum and if below ground tombs in a catacomb. I’d love to see you do an ossuary in the style of the one at San Bernardino alle Ossa at some point.
I briefly mention it's composition in another video but certainly 🙂 it's 3 parts Vallejo black wash, 2 parts Vallejo brown wash, and 1 part water . Mix it well before using it 👍🏻
@@irongryphon Thanks!!! I dont speak english very well... Im spanish native maybe I missed it. Thanks!! I thought it was homemade but I can see it Vallejo. :)))) Thanks and your job is amazing. Im starting with this hobby and Im faaaaar away from this. Best!
Yes, love the chained skeleton. Awesome build. Maybe a little more info about painting technique? For instance, how did you prime the piece when you began painting? Apologies if I missed it.
Ah okay, well I always undercoat foam with a mixture of black paint and Matt mod podge, this seals the foam, protects it from mild damage, and provides a good surface for paint and other things to adhear to. Models and such things usually get an undercoat of either black or white spray primer depending on the style of model 👍🏻😀 hope that helps abit
It's just a piece of styrene rod I had left over, it seemed like a good size for big bricks for 28mm scale models. I use it in a few of my dungeon videos 🙂
It's just a piece of hollow square plasticard/styrene tube. I don't remember where I got it, but anything to leave an imprint in the foam will suffice 🙂👍🏻
was it catacomb the word you were searching for? because this is a classic catacomb. if you did a few of them you could have a tombs of the blind dead type scenario going on
You want a challenge I got one for you make a post apocalyptic narrow boat playable I just made one and I'm interested too see what other builders come up with they would exist in the UK after the shtf senerio
Well that's very very kind of you 🙂 I'd be very humbled if people were willing to donate even a dollar to the channel. I'd feel a little cheeky even suggesting it 😅
I really like that you put the guy in chains on the blue/purple carpet. Implies some real respect for him even if they feared him. Nice build :)
Thank you, I like giving a piece some lore or meaning 🙂 really makes people wonder.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Nice one. The vertical standing corpse is super-eerie. Great detailing. Cheers.
Thank you very much 😀👍🏻 he was a challenge to make

It's all about them details buddy 😅👍🏻
Love your tomb and all the fantastic details you put on it. Reminds me of when I played Oblivion like crazy.
Yes I was very inspired by Skyrim 😊
man wrong Game xD i never saw any tombs like these in Oblivion xD
I knew what you meant mate 👍🏻😅 happy crafting
Nice build. I like the effects you have with it. It looks like a proper tomb with skeletons and the one that is chained to the wall was a great idea.
Thanks mate 👍🏻I just have to tell stories with my terrain 😅
Nicely done
The individual niches in the wall for bodies are called loculi. It's amazing how much funerary terminology you pick up as a GM.
Haha thank you for the info 😅 and thanks for watching
@@irongryphon Also, a carved stone image of a dead person on a slab is called an effigy.

Thanks, this build was mostly inspired by Skyrim 😅 if you needed any more inspiration. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

NICELY DONE - Simple but very cool
Thanks very much 😀

Cheers dude, yeah feel free to check out my terrain 😀👍🏻 always appreciate comments and suggestions. Thanks for watching
Thanks
this mausoleum is fantastic!!!
Cheers mate 👍🏻🙂 I was inspired by Skyrim, but also wanted to have it turn any room into a cool tomb room
@@irongryphon It certainly will.
Awesome work...
Cheers bud 👍😎

Ha I'm not sure I have enough skulls and bones for that one, but thank you 👍🏻🙂
Maybe one of those old fashioned milk bottle holders, with No Milk Today Please!?
😅 great idea
great work
Cheers Debbie 👍🏻😀 thanks for watching
Could you tell me please, what size is the plastic oblong rod you use to make the brick impressions in the foam ?
It's around 10mm X 6mm I think and it comes in long lengths, usually about 30cm
love you wash. Can you share the recipe? Best!!! Great vids!!
I briefly mention it's composition in another video but certainly 🙂 it's 3 parts Vallejo black wash, 2 parts Vallejo brown wash, and 1 part water . Mix it well before using it 👍🏻

You're welcome 🙂 and gracias amigo 👍🏻
Would look good with some cobwebs, you can make them from dryer sheet.
Cheers mate, I could indeed 👍🏻😀 thanks for watching

Catacombs?

What's your wash made of and what's the ratio?
I use 3 parts Vallejo black wash, 2 parts Vallejo brown wash, and 1 part water (cos the washes are very dark and it helps to dilute them abit) 🙂👍🏻
Nice work. Where are you getting that thicker blue xps foam from? I can only find the 1cm stuff at Amazon uk.
I think it was actually found on "wish". It's not that good though, which is why I used it for general bulk rather than any detail work 🙂👍🏻
What is the brick tool??? Awesome build as always
It's just a piece of styrene rod I had left over, it seemed like a good size for big bricks for 28mm scale models. I use it in a few of my dungeon videos 🙂
Where did you get your brick maker?

That's an odd idea, but I like it 🙂👍🏻
Very nice build, love all the little details! Are the skeletons self-made or can one get those somewhere?
They're from the Skeleton warriors box by games workshop. I found them on eBay 😀
Catacombs!
Catacombs indeed 👍🏻😅
Haha-ok, your secret is out: If in doubt, throw a candle at it!
Ya got me 😅 zero artistic skill, all candles. That said, it totally works 😅
At 7:45, it looked like a pizza oven... I like pizza.
Pizza is the best 😅
Catacombs
Catacombs indeed 👍🏻😅 I should make more tomb like things

No, I don't. But it's something I may try to get started in the future, maybe if I get more of a following 😅
