Great tutorial. I like your stamping technique for the brick work. Really makes it more random. Specially like the dual purpose of using it with or without the jail bars.
👍🏻Thanks bud, that idea (like many) was born out of necessity. It's not as fast as a roller, but faster than penciling them in. And still looks great and unique everyone 😊
The texture technique put on the walls is amazing. Plus so much easier than drawing out and looks better. Maybe not as fast as a texture roller but looks 100% better. That over head view of the wall after texturing was so satisfying.
@@irongryphon I'm sold. starting a new build now just cause I want to try out the technique. That is next level making things look more realistic. That build could also be horse stalls with the some new doors inserted in.
Even as you were making it, I was thinking it might be more modular than a pair of cells, but honestly that's probably one of the things I often need to represent more than small rooms or a cubby. Very nice work.
great build, wish I'd seen this 18 months ago when I was asked to build a cage, I'd have built this instead. The cage was really difficult to build but I got there in the end after much swearing and cursing. but this is so simple yet effective.
love the mesh tip - to separate and space the bars! i might fill the spacer holes in the mesh first, seems like that might be easier - always amazed at the fine detail elements and paint touches you use to finish off your pieces - great job again
I built one of these and I found that if I put a layer of mod podge/black paint in the spacer holes and let it tack up a bit, I could put a second coat and it would completely fill the holes :)
The good news is, you now have a roof over your head, the bad news is, there's no door so we cant get you out!! LOL Great work btw, thanks for sharing with us
He might shake the prisoners into a frequency where they don't interfere with the walls on a nanoscale level and pushes them through the wall. Or he just squeezes them through with brute force and adds a little healing spell to it.
It's known as XPS foam, or extruded polystyrene. It's used mostly as an insulating foam layer under flooring. It comes in a few different colours, mostly pink, blue and grey
Hello, quick question for you. With the UV resin, you added to the bottom of your cell. Did you tint it before hand, add colour after, or just leave it as the straight product?
I used it "straight", however you can often add a little paint to UV resin and mix it in, giving you a tinted look, however this can also affect curing times/outcomes. Remember the tiniest amount of paint will do the trick 👍🏻😁 and it will obviously ruin any brush you use
Absolutely beautiful... Quik question: You may have mentioned this before, but the tool(s) you use to indent the foam to make the brick patterns...did you buy that specific? or was it something you just 'make-shifted' ..so to speak...hope that question made sense...Cheers
Hahaha loads of people have asked about that. It's just a piece of rectangular shaped styrene tube. as long as you use something harder than foam, and the right size and shape, im sure you can find an appropriate substitute 👍🏻🙂
@@irongryphon Thanks mate. I really appreciate the feedback. Thought maybe it was a special "tool", but thought it might be a "makeshift". One day I'll set up a website that can include links for all countries to buy that foam. But it's simply just 10mm thick XPS foam. It's used in under floor heating, and as I understand, USA has much better XPS than the UK. 👍🏻🙂
I haven't bought any in ages, but I think I got mine on eBay. In the UK our xps isn't as good as the stuff found in the US or Canada though. I think theirs is denser, and takes an impression alot better
I really like the versatility of this one, it's got my mind going thinking of scenarios.
Jail cells are a dungeon classic, what else are dungeons for if not for imprisonment and torture? 😅
Amazing modular build! Loving your channel, thanks for sharing!

It could indeed, good thinking 🙂👍🏻
What a great idea for bar spacers!
Thanks 😀👍🏻 I was pretty happy with it too 😅
Another great job mate!!!

Hahaha cutting the cocktails sticks 'very real tiny javelins', that tickled me :)
Cool build by the way
Cheers bud 😅👍🏻 honestly they're lethal
Great job, look forward to seeing what you create next.
Thanks 😊 much appreciated, got a new video coming soon
This is really strong - some cool ideas I haven't seen before. Keep it up!
Much appreciated 👍 😊 thanks for watching
This design is superb. I will definitely be crafting myself a set. :) Subscribed, and looking forward to seeing more stuff.

This is terrific! So glad I found your channel and will absolutely be crafting some of these!
Thanks 😀 and Definitely do mate 👍🏻 they're super useful
Great video.
Thanks Christopher 👍🏻😬
Awesome sauce, man. Whut? Tally marks and a puddle of water on the floor? Great details in the jail cells. Top notch, mate. --Bo
Thanks Bo 👍🏻😀 it's those little details that add to the story of the piece 👌

@@irongryphon popsicle sticks granny grating foam bottom. a foam border around the top makes the roof removable . good luck!
I'll give it a try 😁 👍🏻
How have I not encountered your channel before now? And a fellow North Easterner! Will be binge watching the rest of your videos.
Might I ask where you source your XPS foam from?
I got most of it from eBay 👍🏻😅 that's about the cheapest source as well
Thanks bud 👍 my channel has really only been up and running since January 😬
Cheers mate. Watched a few more of your vids, like your style.
Cheers bud, at the moment I'm trying to release them weekly, so stay tuned 👍🏻😬 and thanks for watching
Very cool!

Very nice. How does the jailer get the prisoners in the cells?
Osmosis 😅👍🏻
I realised early on that making a door on the cells wasn't actually that necessary, they just need to look the part

Love this build!! I want to make one of my own but I'm not sure what size your square styrene tubing is. Could you pass that on please? :)
It was 4mm 🙂 though I reckon a narrow straw (from a juice box or something) would work aswell if you can't find any square tubing 👍🏻
