These are pretty cool. I could see them being used in tabletop wargaming if you made multiple ones. A unit enter the mine in one turn, that unit skips is next turn and comes out a different mine entrance on the otherside of the table.
Sir, you are the Bob Ross of D&D miniature and map landscape making and painting. I've been an AD&D gamer for 40 years but recently got into Rangers of Shadowdeep which massively uses the kind of stuff you just created. You have given me a lot of inspiration. I am not going to buy all the stuff now. i will make from scrap as much as i can. Thank you!
Thank you, that really means a lot. A lot of the stuff I make is for use in my own Rangers of Shadows deep games so there is a definite connection there!
Can I also ask where you get your foam? I could really use this piece of terrain and want to attempt something similar. I got a link for amazon to xp under floor insulation from "the battling barrow" the other day but it's only 6mm thick which is good for walls on buildings etc but your rock pieces look like they're made with much thicker material.
@@mordor-focker the green foam I got from the local hardware store as underfloor insulation. The blue foam I ordered from ebay but it's really hit or miss what you end up getting. The thicker stuff I ordered a few years ago from a site that's no longer open :(
@@thecavyforge7307 I have seen some on amazon but they all seem to be precut to a certain size. There used to be a hardware shop near I'd buy it from in sheets but it closed during covid
@@JR-je7ce I would love if there was a shop that sold it locally but it does seem to be a rarity. I've never seen it above an A4 size at a reasonable price

It’s amazing how realistic something can look that doesn’t take years to make. Like this looks SO good.
Thank you :)
That ground clump foliage with the PVA looks awesome. Nice inspiring build mate thanks for sharing.
Thanks man!

@@thecavyforge7307 ah ok, I'll check at my local B&Q and see what I can find. Thanks for your time mate
Impressive creativity and technique...thumbs up, cracking job!
Thanks bud!
This is a really cool piece of terrain! Great job man! Subscribed with pleasure! 😉👍🏻🍻
Thanks man, really appreciate that :)
And thank you for the static applicator warning- no one else does that.
First time I used it, the clip was resting on my leg, you only make that mistake once 😂
Nicely done - although I am not entirely sure about mining into a small hill like that.
great video
Always put a base coat of black under metallics so they show up better. Depending on the background, sometimes white or gray can be used.
Sound advice, but I find with p3 and AK interactive paints they often don't need it as they're so heavily pigmented
Cool build 👍.
Out of curiosity where do you buy your xps foam in the uk?
Thanks man, I generally find that amazon and ebay are the best bets but they're not particularly reliable for it
