Very helpful video, thank you! I really appreciate that the frostgrave minis have useful female minis, i dont care for the monotonous hypersexual style that many mini companies (and 3d-print mini designers) go for. These look incredibly useful for kitbashing aswell!

Hi, thank you! that shoulder coat is from the victrix 1804-1807 French infantry. Same kit I used for the fodder

Not using actual letters makes sense - especially if it's for a game like StarGrave or 5 Parsecs. Could also look up Korean or Kanji symbols and go with that.
Im gonna use that foam core trick to make it look like plaster over brick. Great job.
Now I found that the first set of male Cultists seemed a bit on the small side compared to the other Frostgrave kits I had.. and when I tried conversions using Stargrave stuff and other plastics I had, some of it just seemed oddly sized... Do these ladies seem more in scale with the first set, or did they bump them up a bit to match more the rest of the sets?
They are slightly on the thinner side and have more realistic proportions. They also kitbash fine with the cultist set 1 as all the cloth kinda meshes the proportions together. The soldier/cultist 1 kits were the oldest though so they suffered worst from the squat proportions. Annoyingly it seems the stargrave kits used those same proportions so they come out chunkier

Made some similar concrete barriers recently as well. Super fast and easy and REALLY useful in almost any scenario. Several of those is must-have for any non-fantasy game.
Skips and piled up rubbish bags could work as urban scatter terrain too
I regularly come to you channel for inspiration. While my setting is decidedly apocalyptic, run down dystopian cities fit the bill. I love all The Cavy Forge videos.

So, I wanted some graffiti behind the shacks to be visible between them but the shacks turned out larger than planned so it mostly got covered up

Good video. I like your content, but why do you wear this disgusting cotton gloves? Nitril gloves are not really expensive these days.
I think you meant nitrile gloves are not «expensive» any more.
The cotton glove serves as a cloth to get the right amount of paint, but most importantly it's breathable. Nitrile gets very sweaty, especially in the recent weather

Look good. I don't think you mentioned these are female. You said "guys" and "12-man" unit - but I believe the #2 sets from North Star are always the Female versions of the first all-male set.

I'll miss the funny pointy hoods in the first set but this new cultist box looks better to me
It would be nice if they redid the earlier kits in this style, the full sized sprues give you so much more
Combine the pointy heads with this set, these kits are great for mix and match!

Those minis are great. Got a sprue as fast as I could to add them to my post-apocalyptic scavenger warband.
I'm very tempted to use my last two sprues to do the same. Mix them with the scavenger sprues
@@thecavyforge7307 Exactly. One issue with male cultists was that their hands had those very medieval style gloves, sleeves and some robes are also a bit ornate. But the ladies are more focused on rags and bandages and fit post-apo even better! Plus, it would be a sin not to use that hand with giant meat cleaver ;)

Where do you get your foam from and paints?
I usually get my foamcore and acrylic paints from 'hobbycraft' or 'the works'. Proper foam is pretty tricky to find over here though so I usually end up ordering it online
Of course the Frankenstein windmill comes to mind. I'm surprised you don't light it for a final look here.. Even a time exposure under moonlight...

Great build! Especially the vibe of „I know the process, so I don’t have to design to much but just have fun“. I‘m still in the phase of „I don’t trust the process, so everything has to be meticulously designed and that is more work than fun“.
Thank you! You'll get there. Honestly, I didn't like this one for a while until the black wash stage. But a lot of mistakes can be fixed with foliage/washes/grime
