When you’re from the Bronx and you hear about those street gangsters from Brooklyn and visa versa, you know they out there catching wreck. ENY, Brownsville, Bed Stuy, Crown Heights, Red Hook & Ft Green Bklyn in the 80’s through 90’s was critical. Stick up kids was out to tax like Guru said. Gun play was in full effect. The A, C, J, L, 3 & 5 trains were deadly ESPECIALLY the Murda A. NYC wasn’t know for gangs during this era until the mid to late 90’s but, the Deceps or Deceptacons terrorized the D & A trains. Shit was real like crazy back then.

I grew up with K-Son in Tompkins. Wasn't close to him, but I would always see him with fresh gear. I didn't live the life, but knew a few cats that did. Too many folk were victims of the streets. My childhood/fellow Tompkins friend Tracy Morgan, yes, that Tracy, knew K-Son, as well.
I think if Pappy knew his name was still alive in these streets he might find a route back to partial sanity. I bid him peace

You should definitely write some more, I don’t know what it is about these stories but I can’t get enough. You changing your life around, that too is amazing.
